Title: 1699 Virsa Store
This is a proposal for the online web store project “1699 Virsa Store”. This document describes about the outlines of the whole project. The document specifies introduction and justification for this project. The scope of the project has been discussed in the proposal. The overall planning f the project and deliverables are explained in the proposal that provides a blue print for the whole project. The Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) has been followed with a proper schedule and fulfilling the objectives of the project.
Project Background
The chosen project is an online web based project that will helps in selling the Sikh heritage products. The birth of the Khalsa in 13 April 1699 has been a memorable day in the history that encourages naming the website as 1699 Virsa in which Visa means Heritage.
The team has been residing in Australia for two years and found difficulties in discovering their cultural heritage products in the country. The daily use of the religious products including turban and religious books are not available in the country (Dartt et al. 2015). Therefore, the team decided to expand their business in the cultural sector. This website will helps in purchasing the Punjabi cultural heritage products in Australia. The business will be online that will help in reaching to a large number of people at one click. Therefore, the name of the website is 1699 Virsa Stores.
Project Objectives
The primary objective of the project is to sell the Punjabi heritage products to the people in Australia. The Punjabi heritage products are found in various stores in the Australia but at a high cost or low quality. Therefore, this website will help in finding these heritage products to the individuals at low cost and high quality. The online website will help in providing Punjabi traditional culture to the people in Australia.
The website will be user-friendly that will help in providing the products to the targeted audience. The website will work efficiently in multiple browsers. The search engine for the website will be added with the shopping cart features (Beaulieu et al. 2015). The total duration of the project will be 26 weeks that will help in making an efficient website. The focus of the website is to maintain the heritage culture of Punjab in the Australia. This will increase the sales and revenue of the company in the market.
The whole project is based on the online retail business in the Australia. The aim of the research is to sell various products in the Australia. The goal is to serve the Sikh community in the Australia with best services of the website (García-Peñalvo et al. 2016). The website will contain various features including user account, shopping cart, best graphics and information security. The scope of the website is to expand the business. The stock will be imported from India and sell in the Australia.
The scope of the project will contain both non-functional and functional requirements that are necessary in the creation of the project.

This project will follow the SDLC methodology to fulfill the requirements and goals of the project. This project will choose the spiral SDLC methodology during the development phase (Miller 2017). The spiral methodology is a flexible methodology that helps in iteration and repetition. As mentioned by Moura and Zhang (2017), the project will pass through four phases over the spiral and gaining the feedbacks of the customers in the market. As commented by Kennedy (2017), this model will helps in creating a highly customized project and user feedback will be incorporated in the project.
As mentioned by Mehler (2017), there will be three basic factors for the acceptance of the project in the market. These factors re as follows:
Time, Scope and Cost
The time, scope and cost of the project is maintained properly during the development cycle. This will help in maintaining an efficient working of the website over the internet (Huss 2017).
The key deadlines during the deliverables
The deadlines of the deliverables to the customer will be strictly maintained that will help in satisfying the customers with the services provided by the website on the market (Wang, Wang, and Wang 2017).
Specification
All the specification of the web-based system will be maintained in the project that provides a legal agreement between the project management and the client (Nguyen 2017).
The terms regarding the tine and scope of the project will be mentioned in the legal terms with the project manager and the client (Mazur 2017). There will be no requirement of any special kind of terms and regulation in the project. The basic assumptions that will be made includes the efficient management of scope, client regulation, time and cost management during the project and proper availability of resources for the project (Ko and Kirsch 2017).
Constraints will be minimal, as the manager will able ti access the web-based systems in the meantime. The progress of the project will be accessed on demand (Weissbrod and Bocken 2017).
