Buildings made of concrete have the capability of enduring high temperature. It also protects from explosions. The construction department can be able to complete the construction project comparatively faster. Steel also offers a lot of advantages. Steel is cheaper. It provides aesthetics which concrete can never provide. Both the steel and the concrete have pros and cons, however; best results can be obtained when both of them are used together. The reinforced concrete with steel has been used for this project.
The demolition work of the project has been done in the project, and it has been detailed in the project plan. The only part of the former women’s VD Clinic has been retained. However, the entire building structure will be reconstructed. The project manager has scheduled timeline and the budget for the demolition work. He has also taken safety measures and permits so that the demolition work can be carried out ethically and efficiently.

The shoring and the strutting technique has been adopted for the VU Lt Lonsdale Street Development Complex project. The building will have 32 floors, and thus it is required to adopt the shoring and the strutting techniques to avoid any danger of building collapse during the reconstruction works. The project manager is concerned about the safety of the surrounding people and the success of the project. He adopts the shoring process for ensuring the safety of the building construction project.
The podium structure of the VU Lt Lonsdale Street Development Complex project has been planned to construct with a modelled base and plinth at the bottom. The project plan has detailed the setting up of podium structure for the 32 storey Tower construction.
The project plan has demonstrated the list of project activities which the stakeholders need to carry out while conducting the construction of 32 stories Tower. The stakeholders need to conduct all these activities sequentially. At first, the minor demolition work will be carried out. Next approvals will be taken from the council. The building reconstruction will start only after the approval of the construction. The basic foundation for the building will be carried out. The basement work, installation of car parking spaces, installation of plant rooms, ground floor works, roof and floor construction all will be carried out step by step. The project manager has planned the best project design for the project.
Australia Government has developed laws and policies so that the safety of the workers can be assured at the working site. The workers, as well as the administrator of the construction department, must be aware of the policies. The workers should strictly follow the guidelines, in this way they work ethically and effectively. The admin staff must ensure the safety of the workers. They must take care of the employees and should take necessary actions to prevent any risks of accidents at the working site. They must assist the workers and their workers who will be affected by the accidents.

Several losses can occur due to the exposure to risk. The workers can face accidents; general public can face accidents, the project may face heavy loss. Thus it is required to carry out the risk assessment. The project manager and the stakeholders must identify the hazards, must analyse who will be affected and must make contingency plans to mitigate the risks. The project manager can thus mitigate the risks associated with VU Lt Lonsdale Street Development Complex project.
