Paraphrasing What Researchers Say
Xin Wen, Tsan-Ming Choi and Sai-Ho Chung acknowledges that “Inventory management is critical for the success of a fashion retailer.”
The supervision of the flow of the products from the manufacturer to the organizational warehouse to the sales department is done by the Inventory management system. If the products are not monitored properly chances of the product to be defective or not upto the markincreases. The product when retured back to the facility harms the reputation of the industry and causes financial downfall. Hence, supervising the process is essential to avoid mistakes (Heuer & Becker-Leifhold, 2018).
AvizitBasak, M. M. IsrafilShahinSeddiqe, Md. Rifaul Islam & Md. Omar FarukAkandabelieves that “Supply chain management decisions are often said to belong to one of three levels; the strategic, the tactical, or the operational level.”
Over the past few decades, there has been aan enormous improvement in the technology which has lead to the foundation of different processes which have changed the world of business. Likewise, the fashion industry is benefited by the supply chain management (SCM) system. This process helps in the tracking of the activities in an organization (Todeschini et al., 2017). The organizational decisions often depends up on the hierarchy tree of the SCM. SCM determines the places where the issues lies while the product is on the way to the end users. decisions can be made on that basis to improve the tactics and operations in the organization.
HadariOshri says,
“ Fast fashion is a result of mass-market retailers increasing the production of inexpensive fashion lines to meet the demands of quickly changing trends.”
There is a competitive advantage of fast fashion in the fashion industry that cannot be be taken for granted. Creativity can be implemented in the form of fashion and they are widely appreciated. It is a fast paced working process where designing is done within a flick of an eye (Hiquet, Brunneder & Oh, 2018).
“Fashion is one of the top polluting industries”
Major environmental problems are arising due to the fashion industry (Park & Kim, 2016). They are the main consumer of the natural resources starting from cotton to silk and natural ingredients but they are ranking at the top in polluting the environment as well. The brands barely have any control over there off shore suppliers and are least bothered about their activities outside work. Hence, their supply chain does not track the environmental hazards (Brooks, 2015).
As mentioned before, there is an argument going on the whether or not the fast fashion is good or bad. According to hadarioshri, fast fashion improves the fashion business industry and has benefitted the business of the country’s fashion area. Again according to many, “ Fast fashion industry is notorious and does not follow the ethical boundaries (Caro & Martínez-de-Albéniz, 2015). They harm the nature and the natural aspect of the nature so they have to be stopped.
Here, claim stands for the ‘Transparency’ in the business. transparency is important in any organization to build the trust between the consumers and the manufacturers. Growing trust increases the sustainability of the business in the competitive environment (Turker & Altuntas, 2014).
