From our group presentation, I have learnt several skills. The first thing that is learnt by me is the effective time management. In time management, I have learnt that giving priority to the most effective thing. During the project also, I have given the major priority to the most important thing. After prioritization, we have done the scheduling. Under this, it is come to know that under what time which thing will be completed. By preparing to do list, a person always get motivated to complete the things. I learnt that it proves quite significant to always keep the things that are required to do. It helps in achieving the target on time. The importance of attendance is also included in our learning material. Several benefits are come to know about me. Firstly, it helps in improving the performance. At the same time, it also helps in achieving the higher academics by increasing the self esteem (Lee, Ahonen, Navarette and Frisch, 2015).
It is true that study pattern puts great influence on the student. It is significant to use books as well as pictures to effectively understand the lecture. When anything is being taught during the lecture, it is significant to learn it regularly. I come to know that every person has different tactics to learn something. From my own experience, I have learnt that it is significant to use the agenda. It was the most interesting part for me. This keeps every work properly and systematically. By writing everything, it makes the team members clear what things are being done and what are required to be done in order to achieve the things (Talman, 2018).
Self discipline has taught me many things that are required in a person for the successful execution of any project. In our group project also, we all have track the progress time to time so that any deficiency being seen can be corrected at a time. we all have ensured the time to time progress during the project (Ratcliffe, 2019). In every project, I have learnt that focus is the major key to bring the actual output that is being desired. I have seen that, our group focus has assisted or helped us in getting the real output that we all have decided. In every step, we have found every deficiency is required to be correct during the on going project because it identifies the possible reason due to which we are lacking. It also minimised the chances of obstacles in between of our project. I personally belies that it is better to correct the things during the on-going project so that it minimises the chances of failure of our project. I always ensure the tracking of progress in between of our project so that I come to know my weakness where I am lacking. I always note down the key points where I am lacking and where to improve. Every group project starts with setting up of a goal that is followed by each and every member of the group. From the group project, it is also seen that coordination with every member is significant so that it can improve the communication skill at the same time. Goal setting is the major element that keeps everything on track. I have always followed the concept of goal setting in order to achieve something and work effectively (Quirke, 2017).
At the time of group project, we all have worked on the basis of cream strategy. Cream strategy stands for the creative, reflective, effective, active, and motivated. Similar to this strategy, we all were having confidence in whatever we were doing. At the same time, we were also reflective by analysing and evaluating everything. Effectiveness has helped us in being organised in everything what we were doing (Lancaster and Massingham, 2017). I have seen that every team member in our group was active in taking lessons and using them. Motivation is also one such key that is learned by me as the major element for doing or achieving success in any project.
For ensuring the better teamwork, I also learnt that several things are essential. One of the essential things is coordination among all the team members. Coordination is the significant aspect in every project or work we are doing in project. In our group work also, everyone contribution was necessary for getting better results. Having the right people in-group is also most significant for completing the task on time. We have although started coordinating with all the members of the group by initiating some of the exercises. Brainstorming exercise is also one of the essential element for increasing the effectiveness and coordination among the team members. We all have searched the activities that help in team building. All the groups have founded that brainstorming is such a technique that used in generating the ideas that can address the problem and issue. This exercise is done for solving the specific problem. By using this, leaning has developed among all the group members. It is basically done in small group that is designed to generate various ideas about a problem. Through this exercise, everyone has searched regarding the solution that we have to give in next 48 hours. This has inspired my group members to bring innovation. Everyone had given their best efforts to find out the possible solutions for the challenge. It is crucial for the group members to bring some creative ideas for better results. Collaboration works in best manner when group members have better coordination among each other.
I have seen that I am not able to communicate properly due to hesitation to speak in front of so many people. Communication is the major weakness that I have seen in me during my group projects. I need to work on my communication while talking in front of people or group of individuals. I come across my weaknesses. I need to work on my English as well as communication skill at the same time. Due to this, I have also started an online course for the communication skills. I am working hard for bringing improvement in my communication skills that will further help me in bringing best out of me. At the same time, speaking skills are also required to be improving so that communication gets more better. Due to the my hesitation, I do not able to reply effectively to the people. This thing create problem for me at the time of group project where every member is required to ensure the better communication with the members in order to achieve better results and desired output. In addition to this, I have seen that when any problem occurs, I do not able to understand how to solve it effectively. Due to this, I need to work on my problem solving skills so that I do not face too much problem at the time of working in future organisations. In this way, I understood that communication, English improvement and some of the problem solving skill is such aspects where I need to improve my knowledge (Ahmad, 2016).
