After getting engaged with the project I have identified that leadership is quite necessary for driving the project towards success. Proper leadership not only helps in sharing a clear vision but it assists in inspiring others. It assists in providing positive attitude as well as enthusiasm within the team members. The qualities of leadership like problem solving skills, team building as well as competence assists in making the project successful. Additionally, I analyzed that a leader requires to change the style of leadership with the requirement of the project and needs to acquire new qualities in order to achieve success.
As a project manager, it is quite necessary to have proper technical skills for successful management of project. Proper qualities of leadership are also necessary within the project. It is found that the project manager must have the skills of team management, resource management, cost management as well as project negotiation. Proper management of project risks are essential for making the entire project successful within the time that is expected by the organization. Additionally, the project manager should also have the capability of developing collaboration within the project team.
