Today the TVs are made with many features to improve the experience of the viewers with amazing features. For instance, they have added smart attributes such as the smart remote control that uses advanced commands like the voice for tuning, shut and open. All the three brands have the feature of a 3D type that improves the viewer’s experience and visualizes the pictures like in the real-life situation [5]. Another essential element noted in all the three brands is the incorporation of internet connectivity that gives the viewer access to more channels and functionality of web browsing, and they can use the preinstalled applications like the Facebook, Skype and online games. The only difference in the smart feature of the three brands was the 3D type of LG was passive.
Another property that the potential buyers should consider is the display and resolution. This feature defines the viewing experience since it determines the image quality, aspect ratio and balance of light [6]. Among the three, LG and Sony have the best image quality that is depicted by the 4k attribute that implies a pixel of the range 3840 x 2160. Comparatively, Samsung has good resolution but not in the class of the 4k in LG and Sony. The Sony brand has an added advantage of back light control. Additionally, the design and durability are also key features in the comparison. Concerning durability, LG is the scores highest as indicated by its three years warranty followed by Sony with two years and the least is Samsung with a year. The size is almost equal in all the brands, but the weights differ significantly with Sony being the heaviest with 23.5kg while Samsung the least with 15.6kg. LG regarding design has an added advantage such that it offers their customers the ultra slim option.
Furthermore, the type of formats supported by the TVs is also vital in shaping the choice of potential buyers. Such feature determines the kind of DVDs and VCDs to buy and downloading types. The experience of the customer purchasing a DVD and then the TV refuses to play is detrimental to the company reputations and affects the future sells. For instance, the Sony brand supports most of the video formats, and the chances of the client raising issue of unsupported files are minimal [7]. However, the LG supports only one type of video format, which is a limiting factor. Nevertheless, the three brands support most of the audio formats. On that note, Sony has the best sound technology compared to the other two.
Price is a ripple effect to the added features and type of technology used. The more the elements, the more the cost of production and so will the buyers have to dig dipper in their pocket to possess the gadget. Among the three, the Sony has most of the features like durability, sound technology, image quality, and supports many formats. Consequently, it is the most expensive among the three at a cost approximately $ 3270 which is about 43% more than buying Samsung [8]. Therefore, the potential buyers should put all the consideration of all the features available and determine if it is worth the amount tagged.
Conclusion
The potential buyers are faced with a challenge selecting the best brand of TV set from the variety in the market. The report compared the favorite brands of Samsung, LG and Sony based on their features, specification, price, level of technology, and auxiliaries. The study shows that not a single brand is perfect in all aspects but show some strengths in some area and weakness in other sections. For instance, the Samsung has excellent smart features, support many audio and video formats, and 3D enabled. Comparatively, it scores less concerning resolution, and it does not offer Ultra slim element. In like manner, LG is the most durable as indicated by its three years warranty, has excellent resolution, image quality and provide an ultra slim feature. However, it has a passive 3D element and has the least support of video formats. Finally, Sony has the best sound technology, best image-quality, relatively durable compared to Samsung, and offer several smart features. Nevertheless, it does not have the ultra slim features and a limited number of video format that it supports. Therefore, the potential buyers of TV set should consider all the features and specifications provided in this report to come up with an informed decision of which is the best brand of their choice.
