These water sources are therefore not used in the irrigation process. In some countries, there has been the use of untreated water for irrigation. This practice, however, has been found to very illegal in some of the countries.
Other than acting as a source of nutrients and compactness, the soil water normally acts as a transport agent and also a solvent.
