The unemployment among the teenagers is regarded as the unemployment among the part of the society whose age group is between 15-24 years as pointed out by the United Nations. A deserving candidate is staying unemployed and this is quite prevalent among the teenagers in today’s world. (Gorry, 2013). According to an estimate, the unemployment among the teenagers is five times more than the rates of adult in the country. There are causes behind the youths remained unemployed and they need to be addressed as fast as possible. The quality of education, the role of government and the regulations of the labor market are those important factors which are needed to be addressed efficiently.
The effect of unemployment in the later life may develop into a loss of Cognitive skills such as the learning and the capability to process the information are going to affect negatively the productivity of the workers with the starting of unemployment. This would not lead to find a better option later in the adult life (Gorry, 2013; Marshal, 2012). The unemployment among the youth impacts a healthy family life, the character of the youth without any work tends to get affected and as a result their family life deteriorates. This in turn also reduces self confidence within the youth. After facing the outcomes of the unemployment, the teenager in the latter stage of life, would also lose confidence and interest in doing jobs, this in turn would affect the self – motivation of the person.
Awareness: The youth unemployment creates confusion in the environment of the society. With the youth bulge, the teenagers are desperately looking for the jobs, but the rates of job are below the expectations and lack of vacancies (Marshal, 2012). Therefore, in many countries such as Africa, India and specially the other developing countries, youths tend to suffer from unemployment mainly due to the growth of population, where the offices are not greater in number to accommodate a huge group. Thus, the unemployment is hurting the teenager’s emotions, inflicting a huge loss on them to prosper in their field. The balance between positive and negative impact is severely affected. The balance is ultimately hampering the personal life of the individual.
Political Analysis: The coming of the leaders as the power holder of the country at a majority time brings up changes and makes new policies regarding the employment and other activities of states. Policies regarding youths trigger the conflict and cooperation with the state. Policies regarding youth are based on the economic opportunities which further incorporates the employment opportunities and resources for the Youth. However such policies regarding the unemployment challenge the state (Kraft & Furlong, 2012). To top it, the transformation of the social positions of the teenager is having a problematic link with the growth of the political context. This in turn also affects the dynamics of the political conflicts. In the field of unemployment, the one who wins is the policy maker, the one who loses are the youths generally (Kraft & Furlong, 2012).
Economic analysis: The inequitable distribution of the resources is enabling the cause of unemployment among the teenagers. The economy of a country is owned by the state and the citizens of the state consume them (Haunson, Mcpherson & Satz, 2016). However, with the growth of population, the utilization of the resources and the wants of the people increased, this led to innumerable problems like unemployment which being one of the major factors.
Social Analysis: The unemployment among youth leaves a negative impact on the societal culture as a whole, which in turn affects the personal and social life of the youth. They tend to become jobless and engage themselves in conflicts. The sense of moral behavior tends to get vanished which in turn start effecting the adult life of the teenagers. Countries like the Middle Eastern countries, are suffering from this problem. A conflict between youth and government groups arise as a result.
Cultural analysis: Culture of a family is still being retained which affects the employment in certain states. The female workers are still being underestimated in certain jobs, where the workers had to leave. The teenagers getting affected by the harassment tends to turn unemployable. The belief in the family culture that the son would income is still persisting is some developing countries. If the son fails to get jobs, it becomes a headache for the family culture (Milner, Page and La Montagne, 2013).
History: The historical analysis of the youth unemployment states that in the countries with the development of the greater facilities of the hospital reduces the mortality rate. The change in powers of the country also brought a change in the policy making decisions of the government (Eichhorst, Hinte, & Rinne, 2013) Countries like Italy and other European countries are being the example of this historical analysis.
Action: A change can be brought only if the government takes proper actions regarding the policy making procedures and also at the same time, the population control need to be controlled along with the proper allocation of the resources (Rivlin, 2015; Tuomela, 2012).
According to Giuliano, (2013) states that the study concentrated on the different effects between the youths and adults on the non sufficient amount of wages that are given to the youths. It has been observed that from the United States Large retail firms that a variation can be detected in the initial level of wage. Positive employment affects the youth and encourages them to enter a labor market. The motive of the study is that to find the wages of the teenagers are low and this becomes main reason for feeling distressed.
According to Choudry, Marelli and Signorelli, (2012), point out that youth unemployment is affected by the financial crisis. The change in the GDP rate of the country along with the rate of unemployment has also transformed. This has resulted to the teenagers suffering from unemployment. The market as well lacks the capability to provide employment to the teenagers; as a result their adult life would also have to suffer. The researchers utilized the data ranging between 1980 and 2005 and pointed out that the financial crisis is the main problem which has created a poor effect on the teenagers. The lack of this finding states the time span is not a current time span on the basis of which the authors did their research works
According to Lee et al., (2015) number of valuable reasons that caused unemployment of the teenagers. The heavy drinking attitude, smoking cigarettes are regarded as the main reasons behind the cause of unemployment. In the initial stage, unemployment has a drastic impact on the events of the adulthood and this seemed to enhance with the passage of time. The impact also had a tremendous on the life of the family members. The researches have conducted a study among the respondents of 10 and 33 years. However, a limitation can be pointed out from this study which marks out only a specific group of people. It could have been important if the more people are included. Arthur Philip Cross, an important economist pointed out that teenager a different mode of attachment with the labor market (Hall et al., 2013). Teenagers generally stay at their home and attend school till the age of 16 and 17. The teens are not matured or good enough to contribute to the services. Therefore, the attachment of the teenager with the labor market is not strong enough. Cross has also pointed out that at the age of 20 years, there is no such provisions for the job crisis. The teenagers always try to look forward to develop themselves in their own expertise field. There is no need for the teenagers to find jobs at this point of time. The research therefore lacks a particular reason, The author did not take into account the family troubles and problems which may sometimes influence the teenagers to search for job. The Author did not take into account the prevalent financial crisis and the ardent need to take jobs as quick as possible.
Conclusion
On a concluding note it could be stated that the social analysis has described the various aspects of the teenager’s unemployment and its effect on the adult life. The political cause talked about the policies taken up by the power holders which are bringing youth and the state in a confrontation. Economic challenges include unequal distribution of the resources affecting the youth’s employment in a daily life. From the historical, cultural and social point of view, Unemployment among youth is arising out of the evolution of the better hospitality management which in turn is reducing the mortality rates. In Europe, the population control with the passage of time has there become a greater issue to make an entry in different sectors. Cultural and social diversities including the belief that the increasing amount of youth unemployment is creating the problems of youth bulge in the society. The cultural belief includes the importance for a son to go and work. Social Action has to specific in terms of detecting the various root causes of the unemployment problems, measurable in terms of achieving, the government policy has to be done is such a way that the youths satisfy their expectations. Policies include the control of the population growth and these needs to be achievable with the change of laws. The policies need to be relevant in terms of providing jobs to the youths and also the policies also include the increase of the minimum wages in the working sectors. The policies have to be time oriented and are to be achieved within a framework of time.
