The development of the operational plan needs to happen with a proper access to the documents that are required for the process to carry forward. As the manager of the company, it is important to develop the various processes, which can be obtained through the information about the resources that are needed in the planning process. The goals and the targets that are set in the planning process needs to be identified through the various KPIs and contingencies needs to be created so that the amount of risk can be mitigated (Brincker and Venture 2015).
To implement the operational plan successfully, determination of resources plays an important part that helps in identifying the area of responsibility and by accessing or preparing the various documents that is required. An example of this kind would be the requirement of schedules. The BizOps Enterprises needs to identify the records that may affect the plans of the organization. It is also important that the information is accurate in nature and the communication structure is organized in a proper manner so that the stakeholders get all the information about the plans that the company wants to undertake (Markusik et al. 2015).
The key question that the company needs to keep in mind has to be with respect to the staffs, products and services, and the physical resources.
The question that the company may consider about the staffs is that how many of them are required and when are they required in the planning process. The informational source that the company needs to consider is to verify the production schedule of the past, present and the future of the company. The salaries of the staffs along with the incentives that they are entitled to needs to be taken in to account to plan the process (Fleischmann, Meyr and Wagner 2015).
The company needs to identify the products and services that they will produce and the quantity of the production. The company needs to identify the source of information through the products and service targets and the quality of the products. They can even look in to the policy and procedure manuals.
The question to consider about the physical resources will be that what type of goods will be required in the input process and when. The information that the company needs to consider will be about the stock records and the capabilities to store the stock. The delivery lead times and the supplier records need to be considered by the company (Armstrong and Taylor 2014).
The company to purchase new delivery vans need to communicate the information with all the relevant people that are present in the company. The information can be communicated with the people and the team members through formal mails, by using informal forms such as notices and memos or through verbal communication via telephones. The information can be presented verbally and visually as well through proper demonstrations in a group meeting. The demonstrations of the delivery van that the company wants to purchase can be done individually or in small and concentrated groups (Krajewski, Ritzman and Malhotra 2013).
The customers and the clients also need to know about the operational planning process of the company. This will help the company in establishing bond of trust with them. The communication method that the company can use to inform the clients is through advertisements via press, television and the radio. The company can personally give a phone call to the clients, which will help in establishing communication on a personal level. Another method of communication can be through the meetings with the shareholders. These methods will help the company in establishing a bond with the clients and the customers.
The company needs to have an effective consultation policy, which will help in ensuring the operational plan to be successful. The consultation process can happen through phone calls, emails, video conferencing, newsletters, and notice boards and through questionnaires and surveys. The process types that the company can use to gather input and feedback are:
Meetings- It will help the company in discussing the issues regarding the procurement of the delivery vans through a proper meeting where the necessary parties will provide valuable feedbacks about the operational plan. It will help in selecting a few people who can focus on the issues that are related with the needs of the operational planning. The meeting process needs to have a chairperson who will set the agenda about the meeting and take important notes regarding the planning process (Cassidy 2016).
Interviews- It will help in understanding the planning process by interacting with small teams or with the relevant people individually. It may be over either a telephone conversation or interviewing the people on a face-to-face basis. The questions need to be direct and to the point so that it will be easy to get the valuable feedback.
Brainstorming- It will help in setting up an open forum where the people can have the option of providing input on the issues regarding the purchase of the delivery vans. This approach will have no negative judgment or in-depth analysis of the ideas that are put forward. The groups will be broken up in to smaller parts, which will help in addressing the specific issues that are raised in the company v(Haines 2016).
After the consultation process is over, the company needs to pass on the information to the stakeholders so that they are informed about the proceedings within the company. It is therefore very important that the communication process with the stakeholders will directly result in the decisions and the actions of the company.
The company needs to consider various approaches that will help in developing the Key Performance Indicators (KPI). The company can consider the lifecycle approach, which will help in identifying the life cycle of the product such as the design, implementation, planning and finalization of the product. in this case, it is the delivery vans that the company has shown keen interest in purchasing. This approach will help in identifying the different stages from the beginning to the end of the product. The risk-based approach will help in identifying the services, activities and the functions that may create a positive or a negative impact on the company. The risks that are related to the delivery vans being operational in nature for the company may have certain negative impacts on the company. It needs to be identified and mitigated at a faster level so that the company can function on a smoother basis (Parmenter 2015).
The cause and effect technique will help the company in identifying the areas that needs more concern specifically. It will help in identifying the correct KPIs that will help in determining the causes and the effects for the products or services that the company wants to implement in its operational planning process. The effects can be identified in a proper manner, which will help in improving the performance of the company.
The company needs to identify the strategies that they will implement in their operational planning process if they face a risk with the product that they are intended on buying. It may involve the consultation of various people both internally and externally of the company. The risk management and the contingency plans needs to be incorporated by the organization (Cokins 2016).
The company needs to have a contingency plan for the delivery of the vans, which cannot be done on time as required by the company. The strategy that they can adopt is that out of the total vans that they have ordered, half of the products need to be delivered on time so that the company can continue serving the customers with the same effort that they were doing earlier.
The corporate logo of the company has been sent for a redesign, so the strategy that the company needs to put in line with the logo is that they need to design an interim logo and inform the customers about the changes that have been made by the company. The advertisement of the interim logo needs to be done in a proper manner so that the customers can be aware of the plan that has been taken up by the company (Perrier et al. 2013).
The company has estimated the budgeted cost of the vans, however due to the fluctuations in the exchange rate policy the company has to come up with new strategies. The strategy that can be adopted by the company is to have a flexible cost for a ten to fifteen percent increase or decrease in the Australian dollar rate. This will help in smoothly carrying out the transactions as it was taken in to budget earlier. The van company will also take this account and will act accordingly (Channon and Jalland 2016).
The company is spending around $7.5 million on the delivery vans and the entire operational planning process so they have to be of high quality and according to the standards of the company. The company will acquire Hertz Trucks that is famous in and around Australia. The engine of the company is DI Turbocharged and Intercooled, which has four engine cylinders. The capacity of the fuel tank is seventy litres of diesel and has excellent fuel efficiency. Since, the company is environment friendly they have acquired the vans that will not harm the environment in any way and is licensed under the clean environment transmission, which will help in understanding the effectiveness it has on the environment.
The delivery vans will adhere to the laws and regulations that are present in Australia. The products will be licensed under all the acts that needs to be done so that the vehicle can be passed as a delivery van of the BizOps Enterprises.
The roadmap published by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) offers a list of issues that are related to the particular industry. On the contrary there are other groups they have also listed the IP issues with regards to their respective industries. Before finding out the particular IP issues in the industry, one needs to understand what IP issues address. Intellectual property is the intangible asset of an organisation or an entire industry. Intellectual property constitutes the creativity of the project designer, the patents and the layouts. More the organisations access the potential of the intellectual property, more the possibility rate of increasing the growth of the company remains high.
The intellectual property of a company is associated with the law and the copyright regulations. The basic problem with BizOp is the issue of the copyright. The purchasing agreement between the company and the designers of the slides and the backs of the vans needs to be upright and specific. In order to avoid the constraints regarding the agreement of the copyright of the designs, it can be modified in need. In case of putting the draft for the agreement, a tender needs to be called for so that the best and the cheapest designer can be hired. The intangible property of the company has to be addressed through stringent regulation on the copyright issues of the van logos or the designs. The graphic artist shall remain responsible to abide by the set of rules mentioned in the agreement. Before entering into the business agreement between the company and the graphic designer, some of the intellectual property issues may arouse thus entailing further complexities in the business. The first and the foremost issue pertaining to the intellectual property of the organisation is the issue of tender. In order to place the tender, the company has to focus on the availability of hiring personnel. On the other hand, it is quite time taking and may hinder the agility of the entire process. Other issues are the one related to the checking of the copyright. The designs the graphic artist would propose to the company need to be thoroughly checked in case of existing graphic arts. In order to complete this particular operation one needs to fix the issues and finalise the hiring process.
Operational plans create a plan for an organisations’ overall strategic movement. Operational Plan offers two types of strategies:
In order to create the operational plan for the organisation, following informational structures need to be formed:
in order to cover the entire operational strategic area, one needs to validate the planning frameworks so as to achieve worth in the operational deeds. Following aspects of the operational plan needs to be implemented in the retail outlets in order to gear up the best business outcomes in the sector:
i) The outlets need to be ensured and educated about the core operational goals and objectives of the organisation so as to increase the aggregate of total sales of the delivery vans.
ii) The organisation plans to provide adequate products to the outlets so that sales can be motivated during the lean market season. The outlets shall be directed to make full use of the potentials of the workforce so as to increase the sales rate. Since sales of a products depends on many of the operations strategies,, it has to be specific pertaining to te most apt strategic framework. Adoption and implementation of strategic models will be useful for the outlets to increase sales. The operational planning aspect will vary at places depending on the target audiences in terms of marketing those products. However, in order to increase the sales in an outlet, we need to design a certain structure for the entire operations. In this case the company will ensure the start up summary in a very brief manner. The employees of the outlets would be provided with the literature pertaining to the products. The employees shall be trained according to the requirement of the customers. In order to make the sales personnel efficient regarding the knowledge procurement of the vans, proper induction and training session will be provided to the employees.
iii) Another operational plan for the business and sales process in the outlets shall be the competitive comparison. Difference between the products of our company and the others has to be noted and the setbacks will be eradicated accordingly. In order to realise the achieved potency in the products, the outlets will be directed to perform as a business wings so as to motivate them for the sales and after sales service.
iv) Finally, the three step approach will be adopted in order to create effective aspect of the operational planning. According to Mike Hudson, three step approach constitutes, demystification of operational planning, equipment of common framework and language and suggestion of practical tips. Therefore, the process of training to the outlet employees will include all of these approaches. Following diagram shows the outline of the entire operational planning process of the organisation:

In terms of the delivery of the product the retails staff would be utilised as an additional work force. Utilisation of the potential of the entire work force has to be confirmed by the core committee of the organisation. Since, they need convincement of the working ability and the organisation needs work force competency, both the factors of the sales of the product shall be used under certain working limits. In order to motivate the retail staff for the delivery service of the vans, the company shall have to confirm the level of engagement of the employees.
The work Hazards in the organisation is to be minimised and eliminated so as to confirm the operational success in the retail outlets. Risk management include the risk of technology, theft and manipulation of data and sales information. In order to minimise the risk in the organisational level, different security strategies will be provided to the outlets so that they can run the entire operational programmes smoothly.
The overall plan is to be divided into several categories

There has been a short fall of 85 vans due to less amount of delivery. As per the budgeted information, it has been decided that the total shortcomings will be recovered through operational improvement. The process of improvement has to be production specific so that supply can be adequately directed towards the demand. If the conventional operations strategy does not work, the alternative ways can be found through budget improvement. No solid budget has been found in the production process. That needs to be improved.
Conclusion:
It can thus be concluded that the basic budget process and employee competency check lead to an effective operational strategy construction. The effective framework has to be gone thorough with different approaches. It has been found that there is a lacuna between the budget proposal and actual scenario. Hence, the operational plan first and foremost addresses the gap created and tries to eradicate the organisational discrepancies.
