Discuss about the Waste Management Plan In WA.
Waste management encompasses the process of handling and restoring waste materials for managing resources. This very specific study has provided detailed overview about the process of waste management as a part of government responsibility. Western Australia is taking major initiatives by processing household waste, providing empty street bins, removing litter from public areas providing waste services in city areas (Brunner and Rechberger 2015). The cities of Western Australia spend around $20 million per annum for providing effective waste services (Joondalup.wa.gov.au 2018). In addition, the Australian government has implemented waste education as a course of study. As a result, the entire Western country has got a disciplined and well managed city which enables in community development as well.
The prime objective of this study is to identify past problems for gaining improved understanding on the research topic. This research aims for finding the impact of waste management plan in sustainable development of Western Australia. Thus, this chapter will justify the choice of research topic. This chapter will then identify the research project aims and objectives and explain the research approach used to address these.
There is a specific reason due to which numerous researchers and practitioners have decided to raise this topic as their research issue. The researchers have observed that waste management and its various initiatives has influenced in rendering environmental growth effectively. Through the development and implementation Western Australia has improved the sustainability in environment (Soltani et al. 2015). This management practice has left positive environmental impact. Therefore, the government of Australia has decided to deal with the stakeholders directly in order to make them understand about the importance of waste management. In this situation, the study has concentrated to highlight the impact of implementing waste management practices.
While dealing with the research issue the study has concentrated to give detailed overview on how waste management strategies can ensure the cities of Western Australia in giving a healthy and environmental friendly life (Joondalup.wa.gov.au 2018). Australia is a city of festival (Papargyropoulou et al. 2014). The inhabitants in quest of spending their leisure tend to attend various events and festivals. Any kind of event or festival affects the environment effectively. In this kind of situation, the government has to take major initiative in cleaning the cities by restoring waste resources. The city would be able to become free from environmentally polluted. On the other hand, wasted resources can be preserved for making recycling products (Miezah et al. 2015). Therefore, the researchers and practitioners have decided to make in-depth research on this very specific topic.
The research project primarily aims to give detailed overview about the importance of implementing sustainable waste management practices within Western Australia in maintaining ecological balance in the environment.
The primary objectives of the research proposal would be as follows:
The entire chapter of literature review and data analysis will be conducted based on the three identified project objectives. The literature review would focus to provide in-depth overview on how the Western Australian government is facing challenges in implementing waste management practices effectives. The primary objectives and target of sustainable waste management practices will be critically analyzed in the literature review. In order to collect appropriate data and information about different aspects of sustainable waste management activities, the study would like to evaluate case studies on waste management process followed by the Government of Western Australia.
The study would be classified in five major chapters in quest of making detailed analysis about waste management practices. This introduction chapter would focus in identifying the research issue as well as objectives of the paper. Based on the objectives chapter two has provided critical assessment of current waste management practices. The third chapter has discussed barriers of implementing sustainable waste management practices in WA. Fourth chapter has critically discussed proper strategies for more sustainable waste management in WA.
The conclusion part would focus on providing key findings based on the key challenges and waste management strategies implemented by the government of western Australia.
This very specific part has focused to make in-depth critical assessment about current waste management practices. The primary waste management practices that the Western Australian government authority have followed include cleaning the localities and save the cities from unhygienic, recycling products for ecological balance, creating new energy and manufacturing facilities, convincing the communal for getting their assistance on waste management, making promotional campaign about the values of waste management for cities (Rigamonti et al. 2014).
Cleaning the localities and save the cities from unhygienic
As commented by Butera, Christensen and Astrup (2015), waste management helps in maintaining cleanliness within localities. For that purpose the government has implemented several regulations for saving wastes. Prohibition on dumping waste and litter ensures that person should never dump waste and scrapped vehicles. In addition, a person should never dump waste to any locality from vehicles. The primary materials of Western Australia that are wasted from the householder include food, peels, papers, bottles, boxes, cartons, packages of scraps, yard waste and so on (Eh.org.au 2007). However, the primary target of waste management practices is to keep the localities clean and maintain unhygienic within the community. In addition, it has also been observed that large number of events is organized in Western Australia. After organizing the events, the responsible professionals should make their area clean.
However, in quest of cleaning the localities the event organizers tend to waste innumerable valuable resources which need to be saved. Thi, Kumar and Lin (2015) has differed the point of view of previous scholar that householders are not the only responsible persons who need to take care of the fact that localities should be cleaned. Every single person belonging to Western Australia should take the initiative of saving resources properly.
Recycling products for ecological balance
Ding, Wang and Zou (2016) stated that reusable products should not be unnecessary thrown out. It can pollute environment and increases global warming. In this situation, waste management practices are very much effective in transmitting the waste materials into valuable resources. Recycle products in Western Australia help in saving green energy as well. In numerous cases it is observed that lands are getting contaminated due to unnecessary throwing of goods and other product materials. As a result, the country cannot use this land for enhancing their productivity. On the other hand, some of the eminent personalities believe that lands should be used for building industries or effective plantation program. Butera, Christensen and Astrup (2015) commented that fatal lands can create serious harms to the people of nearest community. Therefore, government should implement appropriate regulations of using lands properly so that it can create a value of society. McGain and Naylor (2014) stated that building industry can enhance employability opportunity within the organization. On the other hand, Western Australia gets the scope of becoming industrially developed. In this kind of situation the job opportunities are getting high day by day especially in the zone of Western Australia. Consequently, the company can be recognized as economically developed country.
Convincing the communal for getting their assistance on waste management
As already mentioned all inhabitants are not from proper educational backgrounds and attitudes. Therefore, they show their reluctant attitude in protecting reusable products. Schott, and Andersson (2015) the target of waste management authority is to educate those people and give them necessary training and learning development session so that they can enrich their thoughts and knowledge. Ding, Wang and Zou (2016) opined that they should gain knowledge on how waste management can render health development. Concerned volunteers working under Western Australian government tends to show their concern on communicating with the community people in order to make them understand about the importance of waste management practice for social development.
However, in this situation, the waste management professionals have established their objectives. They have created an awareness campaign regarding the social value of waste management. In this kind of awareness campaign the government has decided to show street performances. They have decided to appoint sufficient number of volunteers for controlling overall situation. The government would like to show one act play for conveying a social message. As a result, people from poor educational backgrounds can easily understand the social importance of waste management. In addition, Ding, Wang and Zou (2016) commented that an effective awareness campaign acts as a promotional activities based on which attention can be drawn from the concerned stakeholders. Before implementing an effective plans and policies promotion needs to be conducted in Western Australia for creating awareness among the employees. The plays and other promotional activities would be conducted based on the regions of Western Australia.
Maintaining promotional campaign about the values of waste management for cities
Soltani et al. (2015) opined that sometimes language barrier becomes one of the most significant factors due to which the volunteers fail to communicate with the community developers effectively. Therefore, the employees target to make promotional campaign about the values of waste management for cities. This kind of promotional campaign helps the uneducated people to understand the importance of managing waste. While preparing the contents the employees would have to focus on maintaining simplicity and lucidity of language so that people having poor academic qualification can understand the promotional activities. By performing a dance drama the service providers can drag the attention of stakeholders in Western Australia. Automatically, they would be successful in making the entire country environmentally balanced as well as clean.
As emphasized by Yay (2015) after the entire evaluation it can be summarized that a person should never dump waste to any locality from vehicles. It is observed that waste management practices in Western Australia are very much effective in transmitting the waste materials into valuable resources. However, the target of waste management authority is to educate those people and give them necessary training and learning development session so that they can enrich their thoughts and knowledge. Marzouk and Azab (2014) opined that the employees target to make promotional campaign about the values of waste management for cities. This kind of promotional campaign helps the uneducated people to understand the importance of managing waste in Western Australia. Tan et al. (2015) has kept a different point of view that promotional campaign is not effective for the people of uneducated background only. This kind of campaign is very much effective in distributing the equal message to the people of various geographical backgrounds and cultural attitudes. By maintaining simplicity and lucidity of language the target audience can be attracted towards messages of maintaining environmental products.
As pointed out by Allesch and Brunner (2014), due to the high rate of urbanization and rapid population growth. Western Australia is facing innumerable challenges in maintaining its ecological balance. It is estimated that around 216 ton waste is generated per day among which 25% of the municipal waste is transported for disposal. However, it is undeniable that Western Australian government after taking the initiatives of waste management is successfully able to maintain the eco-friendly environment. While following waste management government has to face immense challenges. These are as follows:
Lack of proper infrastructure:
As per the opinion of Smith (2014), government initiates to establish some of the environmental protection agency who are responsible to manage wastages from different localities. Dahlbo (2015) stated that the primary purpose of those agencies and institutions is to collect wastes from different events or householders and use it by proper recycling methods. In real scenario, the vista is quite different. As compared to the overall population of Australia the number of environmental protection agency is very much limited that can provide effective services to every householder in preventing waste. Therefore, due to the lack of proper infrastructure and effective services the process of waste management remains under developed.
Figure 1: Rate of Waste Generation
(Source: Wawastestrategy.pdf 2018)
As mentioned earlier the number of environmental protection agency is very limited in respect of high rate of population. As a result, the professionals associated with these agencies are certain number of people. In this kind of situation, it becomes difficult for those few agencies to handle waste materials from the regions of Western Australia. Therefore, lack of proper infrastructure is a major challenge that most of the business persons have to face while dealing with the persons. In addition, people belonging to various geographical backgrounds and attitudes would have to face immense challenges in communicating with the professionals of environmental protection agency. As a result, the volunteers have to suffer while talking with the persons of event organizers for not to throw waste materials randomly.
Lack of proper management training:
As per the opinion of Wayne (2015), professionals associated with the management practices should have proper skill and efficiency in managing people. It is observed that most of the people appointed within waste management agencies are not professionally well trained. They are not having multi-lingual flexibility based on which professionals can interact with the service users effectively. Tan et al. (2015) opined that people are from different cultural and geographical backgrounds. Naturally, they have linguistic barrier which prevents in making effective communication with each other. In this situation, the services providers have to be flexible in both verbal communication and non-verbal communication. As commented by Laurent et al. (2014), it is observed that service providers have linguistic challenges which restrict them in making a healthy conversation with the people.
Marzouk and Azab (2014) stated that employees associated with the waste management services are not able to make proper decision at the right time. Due to the lack of effective training procedure employees cannot take proper decision on how to save the wastes and use them for making environmental balance. Waste management practices are primarily effective in urban areas of Australia. There are large numbers of rural areas where products are wasted fervently. Due to the lack of regulatory body and effective management practices these areas remain uncovered. In order to be associated with proper management team the professionals should have systematic approach of managing the entire process. Due to the lack of professional training the professionals cannot take their decision at the right time. In this kind of situation, people associated with the business have to face immense challenges in convincing the target market for saving environmental friendly products for maintaining ecological balance. In addition, volunteers tend to show their reluctant attitude in communicating with the rural people who take a major part in throwing the waste materials in unscientific ways. In addition, people have to face immense challenges in interacting with those rural people due to the lack of having competent approach.
Challenges to convince people about the value of recycling products
Leme et al. (2014) opined that Recycling products are endowed with numerous advantages. Recycling materials reduce energy consumption and emerge green energy. It can decrease the level of pollution. The act of recycling leaves a major impact on deforestation. The most significant positive impact that recycling acts is possessed with includes reduction of global warming. By recycling, less material becomes waste that needs to be burned, and it’s instead used in ways that are much more beneficial to the environment. It is however undeniable that recycling act is endowed with numerous positive effects. Still the country inhabitants are unable to understand about its values and essences. Rigamonti et al. (2014) opined that large number of householders tend to throw their plastic bags, glasses in dustbins for the reason of no usage.
Gandy (2014) opined that management professionals can take the initiatives of convincing the people on how recycling reduces global warming as well as green house gas emissions. Inhabitants are not aware of the facts that recycling drastically reduces the amount of industrial waste. As a result, the environmental population can be removed. However, lack of creating awareness among the people is a major challenge that enables them immensely in reusing glasses and plastics for household activities. Yay (2015) stated that by creating unnecessary wastages the people are polluting environment which becomes a cause of environmental misbalance.
Health and safety issues
As opined by Herva, Neto and Roca (2014), reproductive effects associated with landfill sites have been raised a major concern on behalf of numerous researchers and practitioners. After working on landfills people especially women have to face fatal infant mortality, frequent abortion, often occurrence of birth defects and so on. A rate of low birth weight babies were increasing in Australia with those people who are associated with waste management practices. This very specific issue has become a major challenge from government. Arafat, Jijakli and Ahsan (2015) commented that they are unable to recruit sufficient employees within the implementation plan due to health and safety issue.
Lack of implementation in proper acts and regulations
Soltani et al. (2015) emphasized that National waste policy implemented in 2010 implies that stakeholders should take own responsibility of reducing wastages by improving environmental sustainability. Fernández-Nava et al. (2014) opined that the inhabitants should take the responsibility of saving more resources for maintaining environmental balance. This national governance policy followed by Australian environment ministers in November 2009 is still not being implemented properly. Still, it has been observed that around 216 ton waste is generated per day among which 25% of the municipal waste is transported for disposal. Therefore, inhabitants after implementing these regulations did not show their serious concern in saving their resources.
Lack of more advanced technology:
Thi, Kumar and Lin (2015) opined that Composting, landfill, recycling, windrow composting are the necessary advanced technology based on which waste management practices can be handled in a systematic way. On the other hand, people would have to face immense challenges in creating awareness among the people about the use of advanced technology in waste management practices. However, in order to overcome the crisis the employees would have to receive effective training for using effective technologies for waste management. Schott and Andersson (2015) stated that in real scenario, it is observed that professionals are not using technologies properly to save resources and prevent waste management. Lack of training and competency is one of the most vital reasons due to which the professionals are unable to use advanced technology effectively.
Silvenius et al. (2014) while evaluating the challenges of waste management a summary can be incorporated by involving some of the most eminent contemporary scholars. As compared to the overall population of Australia the number of environmental protection agency is very much limited that can provide effective services to every householder in preventing waste. It is observed that most of the people appointed within waste management agencies are not professionally well trained. They are not having multi-lingual flexibility based on which professionals can interact with the service users effectively. Butera, Christensen and Astrup (2015) commented that people are from different cultural and geographical backgrounds. Due to the lack of effective training procedure employees cannot take proper decision on how to save the wastes and use them for making environmental balance.
It is however undeniable that recycling act is endowed with numerous positive effects. Still the country inhabitants are unable to understand about its values and essences. Ding, Wang and Zou (2016) opined that lack of creating awareness among the people is a major challenge that enables them immensely in reusing glasses and plastics for household activities. Schott and Andersson (2015) stated that after working on landfills people especially women have to face fatal infant mortality, frequent abortion, often occurrence of birth defects and so on. In real scenario, it is observed that professionals are not using technologies properly to save resources and prevent waste management.
As emphasized by Vandermeersch et al. (2014), the process of waste management is the way on how garbage can is used as valuable resources. Australia being high populated country is constituted with the people of different cultural backgrounds and psychological attitudes. Song and Li (2014) opined that human society produces discarded materials which are named as waste. From events to agricultural activities, wastes are produced from different corners. As a result, environment is getting diminished day by day. In order to overcome these challenges the concept of waste management is rendered. Park, Jeong Kim and McCleary (2014) emphasized that as per the initiatives taken on behalf of the waste management authority and environment protection agency, the waste management employees aim to meet some of the most effective objectives. The strategies include maintaining environmental balance with the help of recycling products, protecting health and wellbeing of people as well as society, saving contaminated lands from being wasted, develop national and local awareness campaigns on the social importance of waste management, increase employability opportunity in waste services.
Maintaining environmental balance with the help of recycling products
As already mentioned recycling materials reduce energy consumption and emerge green energy. Palmiotto et al. (2014) opined that It can decrease the level of pollution as well as global warming. Global warming is one of the emerging issues which results a serious damage on human health. However, recycling helps immensely in maintaining balance within environment. In order to keep a city clean the stakeholders need to reuse materials like plastic, glass and so on. As emphasized by da Cruz et al. (2014), due to solid waste, liquid waste, industrial waste human being is getting deprived of leading a healthy life. Industrial waste immensely increases carbon emission. Pakpour et al. (2014) opined that Most of the people associated with these industries have to face health issues. However, after the emergence of waste management the reusable products are getting reserved from being wasted. As a result, ecological balance is well maintained within the country that is beneficial to lead a healthy lifestyle.

(Source: wawastestrategy.pdf, 2018)
Protecting health and wellbeing of people as well as society
Gomes et al. (2014) mentioned that the emergence of waste management focuses to reduce health issue that inhabitants have to face severely. It is observed that effect of environmental pollution caused by waste materials leaves a major health impact on human being. As pointed out by Wang et al. (2014), the occurrences include low birth weight babies, fatal infant mortality, frequent abortion, often occurrence of birth defects. As a result, government of Australia has taken initiatives of managing those wastes so that environmental pollution can be prevented. Good environmental effect enables the people to lead a good and healthy regular life. Milutinovi? et al. (2014) opined that waste management has controlled the health issues immensely. Children facing low birth weight have overcome the challenges that have left positive impact on the overall environment.
Saving contaminated lands from being wasted
Some of the remote areas are there within Australia where fallow lands make no uses. All waste materials are thrown out on the landfills. These contaminated lands are becoming the cause of environment pollution. Corder, Golev and Giurco (2015) opined that in quest of saving those contaminated lands Australian government has implemented waste management practices. Industries are decided to be established on those fallow lands to utilize its value. As a result, the lands are getting saved from being contaminated. On the other hand, the country gets the scope of becoming industrially developed. In this kind of situation the job opportunities are getting high day by day especially in the zone of Western Australia.
Developing national and local awareness campaigns on the social importance of waste management
McGain and Naylor (2014) stated that the foremost objective of waste management practices is to develop national and local awareness campaigns on the social importance of waste management. Waste management is of social numerous social values. On the other hand, it has also been observed that people from various psychological backgrounds cannot understand about the actual importance of saving wastes. They are unable to show their concern in reusing plastics and glasses. However, in this situation, the waste management authority has set up their objectives by creating an awareness campaign regarding the social value of waste management. Pakpour et al. (2014) stated that in this kind of awareness campaign the government by implementing volunteers has decided to show street performances, one act play for conveying a social message. As a result, people having poor educational backgrounds can easily understand the social importance of waste management. In addition, an effective awareness campaign acts as a promotional activities based on which attention can be drawn from the concerned stakeholders. In case of waste management services in this very specific study, the primary target audiences are from the inhabitants of Australia.
Increasing employability opportunity in waste services
As already mentioned waste management divisions increases employability opportunity. As per Australian business scenario large number of employees is associated with waste management practices. In addition, after establishing different industries in the fallow lands the employability opportunity will be automatically raised. Regional skilled and competent employees would be successfully able to apply for different posts. As a result, the country would be economically developed. However, as emphasized by Song and Li (2014), the waste management sector itself is a platform for employees based on which they can show their corporate social responsibilities as well as earn sufficient amount of money.
After evaluating the summary of Waste management objectives it can be jotted that recycling helps immensely in maintaining balance within environment. In order to keep a city clean the stakeholders need to reuse materials like plastic, glass and so on. Ding, Wang and Zou (2016) stated that due to solid waste, liquid waste, industrial waste human being is getting deprived of leading a healthy life. It is observed that effect of environmental pollution caused by waste materials leaves a major health impact on human being. Moreover, the occurrences include low birth weight babies, fatal infant mortality, frequent abortion, often occurrence of birth defects. In quest of saving those contaminated lands Australian government has implemented waste management practices.
Schott and Andersson (2015) opined that after utilizing waste lands by industries or plantation program, the job opportunities in the soil of Australia are getting high day by day especially in the zone of Western Australia. On the other hand, it has also been observed that people from various psychological backgrounds cannot understand about the actual importance of saving wastes. Butera, Christensen and Astrup (2015) stated that as per Australian business scenario large number of employees is associated with waste management practices. In addition, after establishing different industries in the fallow lands the employability opportunity will be automatically raised. However, numerous eminent scholars have also opined that Australian government is unable to implement waste management practices effectively.
While identifying the research issue the study has concentrated to give detailed overview to evaluate the ways on how waste management strategies can ensure the cities of Western Australia in giving a healthy and environmental friendly life. It is undeniable that Australia is a city of festival. The inhabitants intend to attend various events and festivals in purpose of spending their leisure. Any kind of event or festival happening at the regions of Australia affects the environment effectively. In this kind of situation, the government has to take major initiative in cleaning the cities by restoring waste resources. The city would be able to become free from environmentally polluted. On the other hand, wasted resources can be preserved for making recycling products Therefore, the researchers and practitioners have decided to make in-depth research on the strategies of managing waste materials. However, the study has also looked after the fact whether strategies made for managing waste materials are getting implemented within Western Australia or not. Numerous eminent scholars have provided their own opinion regarding the impact of waste management on Western Australia. A specific group of people have strictly denied the fact that waste management practices has not been properly implemented within Western Australia. However, it can be summarized that the strategies that is implemented for managing waste materials are maintaining environmental balance with the help of recycling products, protecting health and wellbeing of people as well as society, saving contaminated lands from being wasted, develop national and local awareness campaigns on the social importance of waste management, increase employability opportunity in waste services. Australian government should take the initiative of implementing this strategy positively.
Conclusion
The study has provided deep insight regarding the impact of waste management in WA. The study evaluates that Western Australia is taking major initiatives by processing household waste, providing empty street bins, removing litter from public areas providing waste services in city areas. Australia is a city of festival. The inhabitants in quest of spending their leisure tend to attend various events and festivals. In this very specific study the research project primarily aims to give detailed overview about the importance of implementing waste management practices within Western Australia in maintaining ecological balance in the environment.
It has been analyzed from the previous study that due to the high rate of urbanization and rapid population growth most of the countries of Western Australia are facing innumerable challenges in maintaining their ecological balance. It is observed while evaluating the study that most of the people appointed within waste management agencies are not professionally well trained. They are not having multi-lingual flexibility based on which professionals can interact with the service users effectively. People are from different cultural and geographical backgrounds.
The scholars from different age groups have opined that the most significant positive impact that recycling acts is possessed with includes reduction of global warming. By recycling, less material becomes waste that needs to be burned, and it’s instead used in ways that are much more beneficial to the environment. At the end of the study, the author has provided some of the most relevant recommendations for improving the waste management practices. The study would provide effective ways on how to overcome the challenges of implementing waste management practices within Western Australia.
While analyzing the challenges it is found that the number of environmental protection agency is very much limited as compared to the overall population of Australia that can provide effective services to every householder in preventing waste. They are not having multi-lingual flexibility based on which professionals can interact with the service users effectively. Tan et al. (2015) opined that people are from different cultural and geographical backgrounds. It is however undeniable that recycling act is endowed with numerous positive effects. Still the country inhabitants are unable to understand about its values and essences. As a result, the environmental population can be removed. However, lack of creating awareness among the people is a major challenge that enables them immensely in reusing glasses and plastics for household activities.
Moreover, lack of proper management training is one of the most effective reasons due to which professionals associated with waste managers face difficulties in delivering quality services. It is observed that most of the people appointed within waste management agencies are not professionally well trained. They have linguistic barrier which prevents in making effective communication with each other. In this situation, the services providers have to be flexible in both verbal communication and non-verbal communication. Automatically, the service providers can easily interact with the inhabitants of Western Australia by following both verbal and non-verbal communication skill. The study has also highlighted the fact that management was unable to convince the people of general about the values and importance of recycling products. The act of recycling leaves a major impact on deforestation. The most significant positive impact that recycling acts is possessed with includes reduction of global warming. By recycling, less material becomes waste that needs to be burned, and it’s instead used in ways that are much more beneficial to the environment. Inhabitants are not aware of the facts that recycling drastically reduces the amount of industrial waste. As a result, the environmental population can be removed. However, lack of creating awareness among the people is a major challenge that enables them immensely in reusing glasses and plastics for household activities.
The study has emphasized that Australian government has not implemented effective plans and policies as well as regulations in order to develop waste management plans. National waste policy implemented in 2010 implies that stakeholders should take own responsibility of reducing wastages by improving environmental sustainability. Most of the householders prevailing in the soil of Western Australia are not very advanced in laws and regulations. Therefore, they are unable to give proper value of waste management regulations.
It is found that people due to the lack of professional training cannot use the wasted products effectively for recycling purpose. In this situation, it can be recommended that professionals associated with waste management should receive an effective training and development session for enhancing their professional skills and competency. Automatically, the professionals would be able to handle and manage wastages very professionally. While identifying the research issue the study has highlighted that Waste management professionals need to focus on using fallow lands so reduce waste. Instead of wasting a land the Western Australian government should focus on utilizing the space by making plantation program, agricultural activities and so on. Business persons can also use the fallow lands by developing industries. As a result, the number of employability opportunity would be increased. The economic strength of the country will reach in better position. In addition, any kind of agricultural or plantation program would help in making environmental balance and reducing land pollution.
While making secondary analysis on waste management in Western Australia it is found that householders prefer to throw plastic, containers or glasses. The management team needs to take interpersonal communication with the concerned householders in order to make them understand about the importance of reusing containers and plastics. In addition, the study has provided deep insight about the drawbacks of Australian government. The government should implement health and safety act very strictly based on which employees can be assured that health facilities will be provided. This very specific act ensures that employees after facing any kind of health issue at the workplace should get proper assistance from the authority. Employees should get necessary monitory benefits as well based on which the people do not hesitate in being a part of waste management practices.
On the other hand the promotional campaign arranged for sustainable development need to maintain lucid and simple language. As a result, people from different educational backgrounds and psychological attitudes can easily understand the value of waste management. The management practices would be able to increase the number of target stakeholders. In addition, the people would get motivated in preserving the valuable resources. As a result, it would help in developing the society along with the wellbeing of society people. The study has ultimately concluded the fact promotional method needs to be more systematic and active for making awareness among the employees. In chapter four it can be found out that the study has used some of the most effective strategies and policies based on which waste materials can be managed. Maintaining environmental balance with the help of recycling products is one of the most effective strategies based on which sustainable balance can be kept up. Recycling helps immensely in maintaining balance within environment. In order to keep a city clean the stakeholders need to reuse materials like plastic, glass and so on.
Due to solid waste, liquid waste, industrial waste human being is getting deprived of leading a healthy life. Industrial waste immensely increases carbon emission. Saving contaminated lands from being wasted is another strategy of waste management. Saving contaminated lands from being wasted is one of the most recognizable strategies based on which waste can be managed. Industries are decided to be established on those fallow lands to utilize its value. As a result, the lands are getting saved from being contaminated. On the other hand, the country gets the scope of becoming industrially developed. In this kind of situation the job opportunities are getting high day by day especially in the zone of Western Australia. Moreover, people having poor educational backgrounds can easily understand the social importance of waste management. In addition, an effective awareness campaign acts as a promotional activities based on which attention can be drawn from the concerned stakeholders. In case of waste management services in this very specific study, the primary target audiences are from the inhabitants of Western Australia. Awareness can resolve issues related to waste management.
The study should render improvement in some of the most specific areas and these are as follows. It is identified that this research only focuses on the Western Australia. Therefore, the entire data and information is based on specific zone of Australia. As per future scope the study would have to focus on dealing with the identified issue based on entire Australian country. On the other hand, it is observed that the researcher would have to extend the time schedule in future for collecting more data and information. The time-frame made of the research paper is very brief and hectic that can hamper the natural rhythm of research process. Moreover, it is indentified that the researcher has decided to use secondary data only. However, in order to gather reliable and valid resources the study would have to focus on primary data collection technique as well. In addition, while evaluating its future scope it can be summarized that the data collection process of secondary resources would be more time consuming in future for maintaining its reliability and validity.
