This subject is referred to as complex and there are several different definitions which are included in the skeptical, rational and the unbiased analysis of the factual evidence. Critical thinking helps the students in understanding the rationale behind important concepts and helps them to get more marks in the exams. The educational subjects require them to think in-depth and gather essential conclusions. In personal life, critical thinking helps in improving the interpersonal relationships, which is the relationship between two or more individuals. If there are any conflicts between two or more persons, then they can be only solved by the approach of critical thinking.
Critical thinking also helps in improving the professional ties. This ability is concerned with the ability of thinking independently as well as clearly regarding certain professional parameters. It is important to be a critical thinker since it helps in the analysis of the way of the thinking of the individuals and present critical evidence of the ideas. It helps in making a valid point in the corporate scenario.
It is important for ICT professionals to have critical thinking abilities. ICT is helpful in communicating with the clients who are located at various parts of the world (Heeks, Subramanian & Jones, 2015). ICT is responsible for variety of functions such as universal primary education, promotion of gender equality as well as empowerment of women. ICT is responsible for making effective communication as well as keep in contact with each other (Hassen & Svensson, 2014). The ICT professionals need to be critical thinkers because-
The ICT communicators need to gather different types of knowledge and make logical deductions from them. This would not be possible without the help of critical thinking.

Strengths- The strengths of the presentation skills include I have good body language as well as posture, which would help the me in conveying the presentation contents in a better way. This would also make the audience more receptive to the central idea of the speaker. I have good communication skills, which would help me to interact with the audiences in smooth manner. I also maintain good eye contact and do not outside or somewhere else while giving the presentation.
Weakness- The weakness of the presentation skills includes I fear about the starting pitch and the fear about how the audience would perceive the presentation. There is also weakness regarding lack of proper pronunciation and I have average English pronunciation skills.
Opportunities- There are many opportunities for the presentation skills such as different ways of communication in the ICT domains which can be used by the speaker. There are a lot of improvement options of ICT, which can be used by the presenter.
Threats- The threats of the presentation skills include the fear of the competitors that they can perform better and the probable disturbances in the various audio-visual tools.
One of the identified weaknesses of the presentation skills is my average English speaking skills. The two strategies for improvement of the English-speaking abilities are identified as-
I am an avid user of Facebook and there was an instance which had affected me greatly. I know the fact that the use of social media is immense in improving the communication skills. There was an incident when my Face book account was hacked and there was a security breach. I used a rather simple password and hence the intruders were able to hack my account easily. I realized that my account has been hacked since I was unable to login to my account. My friends also complained of the fact that I posted something vulgar on their Facebook wall, which I have not done at all. This made me realize the fact and I understood that my account was hacked.
The experience because of the lack of safety measures that I have adopted. I have created a weak password, first of all. Secondly, I surfed my account from public computers, which made my account vulnerable to attackers. There was once or twice I have forgotten to logout after my session was over. Thirdly, I have not changed my password for a long duration. All these factors have contributed to the security breach of my social networking account.
I have learnt the fact that it is dangerous to adopt a careless approach while surfing the social media network. I have realized that I should take a careful approach while using Facebook or another social media network. I have also realized that it is not safe to operate social network sites on the public computers. I should be more careful since there are a lot of attackers and malware in the age of technological advancements.
I would definitely cease to operate my account from public computers. They are not safe for my account. I also need to install good antivirus software in my laptop so that any such future attacks can be prevented.
The positive part of the situation included the fact that I have gained more awareness regarding the cyber security. One negative attribute of the experience was that my old account was compromised and I have lost important contacts.
A good ICT professional is the one who adheres to the ACS Code of Ethics. These ethics should be adhered to while working in the organization. A good ICT professional would maintain amicable relationships with the other individuals of the organization. They should be following the codes of conduct while working in the organization. He or she must also upload the dignity, honor and effectiveness of being a professional.
My work ethic considers the fact that I would be honest and fair under all circumstances. The work ethics give utmost importance to truthful behavior while performing the work duties in the workplace. The work ethic of honesty should not be compromised under any circumstances. One of the values which is extremely important to me is the complete dedication to work and no wasting of time while performing in office hours. This would also help in the application of the best skills as well as knowledge for all the stakeholders.
I believe in the fact that communication is most important while maintaining professional bonding. I strive to communicate in a clear and transparent manner, which would help me to reach to all the members of the organization. I also strive to use various forms of the social networking which would be helpful in more interaction with my close associates.
The diversity of a workplace is important for the purpose of creating effective organizational success. I believe that the organizational policies should support the amicable relationships of all the people working in the organization coming from different backgrounds. I also personally try to bond with all the members of the organization irrespective of their race, religion, creed or color. I believe that this fosters team work in the organization, which is important for achieving the organizational goals.
There have been successful completion of the course and all the learning outcomes have been fulfilled. I have discussed about the basic foundations of the effective interpersonal communication and active listening skills. I have also made a framework for identifying the team work in organizations. I have created ideas that reflect my strong and weak communication skills by doing SWOT analysis of my presentation skills. I have also engaged in delivering effective presentations by suggesting areas of improvement of my weaknesses. I have also discussed about the ethical importance and behavior in the organizations by understanding the ACS Code of Ethics. I have demonstrated an understanding of the ICT tools to improve the organizational processes by discussing the importance of critical thinking skills for ICT professionals. The application of the emerging technologies like the social media websites have also been prepared by me. This helped me to understand the different technological advancements in improving the collaboration and communication processes.
There are two things that I have liked about this course is that it has focused on a practical topic with sufficient practical skills. I have also liked the focus on the communication skills, which is very important in today’s modern corporate environment. This would help me to become effective communicator and improve my loopholes in the delivery of effective presentations.
There needs to be potential improvement of the two areas of this course. There needs to be more in-depth analysis of the ICT tools and their scope of improvement. This would enhance the effectiveness of the learner and they would be able to present themselves better in a professional context. It is important to incorporate more practical skills so that the students are able to get practical view of the ICT concepts.
