The paper is prepared to focus on the case study which is based on analysis of the Tata Consultancy Services of India. While searching for the details about the case study it is found that the Company is one of the India’s biggest multinational that has been founded by Jamsetji Nusserwanji Tata. He made his first settlement for his whole business in Bombay by opening a trading company. The business then expanded in later conditions in various sectors such as hospitality, steel, energy and much more(Ambos & Håkanson, 2014).
In current condition, As per Carraher, Welsh & Svilokos, the Tata Group operates of about more than seven variant sectors in almost about more than 80 countries. Along with that, the services that TCS provide has been spread about across many continents and also involved in exporting services worldwide (Carraher, Welsh & Svilokos, 2016). Other than that the company basically carries out its operation independently by following all the business ethics and by that manner it can be able to answer all the directors as well as shareholders. For that, the company have a reputed brand name and running successfully in the Indian market from since long.
The basic reason for the rise of the source problem is the business diversification of Tata Consultancy Services. The diversification of business is the resultant of globalisation which is another reason which is responsible for the internationalization of the business. (?erne, Jakli? & Škerlavaj, 2013).
It again resulted into the continual recruitment as well as the retention of the skilled and talented labour force. This situation leads to the enhancement of the growth of network of the company on a global basis. Thus the company carries out continuous process of innovation as well as invention which increases the liberalization. Therefore the sources problem is the increased globalization elevates the competition that affects the international linkages.
2.1 The diversification of business posing difficulty for the company to know the exact market conditions and the couture of every individual market in the global market.
2.2 The operational issues of Tata Consultancy Services affect the profit margins.
2.3 The economic slow-down is the short-term issue raised that challenges the development.
2.4 The major long-term problem is the prolonged intervention of the CEO in every business dealings and meetings which violates the code of ethics within the organization.
2.5 The issues related to the integration and resource conservation which affects the productivity of the organization. Thus globalization led to the emergence of the ambitious projects which the company will love to acquire to enhance its brand name.
The analysis should be carried out by considering the basic issues that have been identifying the problems raised by the TCS. Thus analysis can be carried out y considering these few points:
This portion will provide the effective strategies that will help the Tata Consultancy Services while implementing the suggested strategies.
S1 Deciding the proper focus as well as the determination to take any kind of effective decision which will enhance the financial performances by making target towards positive cash flows.
S2 It is a must to accept the innovations and inventions whole-heartedly. Along with that the company should enhance its supply chain to increase the customer support services and timely deliveries.
S3 Developing the strength of the company’s profit margins which eventually enhance the competitive advantage.
L1 With benefits through the profit margins the company should also take care of the corporate social responsibility to handle the success of the company in the long run.
L2 Building a family type organizational culture to bind up the employees along with the change in the ethnocentric predisposition will take the company to the next level successfully.
In that process, the company has formulated successful strategies which will be supposed to be successful in the long run of the company. In later condition, there will be the successful implementation of the strategies which will indicate that it will be achievable as well as sustainable and in the later condition it will provide an accurate evaluation as per the currently available resources along with the available capabilities and the core competencies(Kough, Paris & Butler IV, 2013).
S1 Bringing the transparency in the financial transactions and channelling the CSR initiatives.
S2 The company is quite well known for its consulting services so it is necessary to keep the services sustainable along with effective support.
L2 The continuity of the sustainability with respect to the company’s initiatives can be well maintained with the implementation of proper strategic processes.
As described above the relative strategic recommendations in relation to the resolving of the source as well as the secondary problems. In that context, it can be considered that S1, S2, L2 all can be the feasible strategies by which the company can be able to solve their issues. It will therefore carry out proper processing of the core values of the organization and will ensure the sustainable initiative for innovation by adhering to the proper code of consuct of the organization (Kumar, Mudambi & Gray, 2013). The globalization therefore enhanced the international linkages due to which there should definitely have the proper support centre to handle various operations of the conglomerate organization.
Basically while considering any kind of conglomerate like Tata Consultancy Services it is essential to know the basic requirements that should reflect the easy implementation of the suggestions carried out by S1 and S2. Both S1 and S2 will collaboratively monitor the Group Corporate Office of the company which will take care of the massive business diversification plans successfully(Raman, et al., 2013). But in the initial condition, it carries out the identification of the type of business to which the company belongs. In relation to that, the company will be able to take an effective decision. Similarly, the L2 implementation will effectively take care of any kind of company’s damage with respect to the media reporting or any kind of negative press. It will therefore help the organization in handling the organizational expansion globally by retaining all the shareholders with proper profit margin. (Tietze, 2013).
