We are presenting this abstract on the project to be developed at B.E. computer department Gujarat Technological University as apart of our 7th semester curriculum.
SMART LEARNING is alearning technique which will be developed using the most trending technology i.e. Virtual Reality. Virtual Reality will make you enter into avirtual world and experience the thrill and joy of learning virtually. Just select the IC engine model you want to learn.. This virtually understanding of IC engine model will be definitely more exciting than reality.
Our project is mainly focused on solving three things:
Learning IC engine model in a classroom, video or at any Laboratory is very common nowadays but students and people are not aware about the emerging technologies which just changed the way of learning.
Virtual reality is an artificial environment that is created with software and presented to the user in such away that the user suspends belief and accepts it as areal environment. On a computer, virtual reality is primarily experienced through two of the five senses: sight and sound. Developing Study Application with Virtual Reality technology will make the students feel of diving inside the study environment [1].
SMART LEARNING is avirtual reality study application where user will get the learning technique in an environment which is not feasible in real life to study IC engine models. The user will able to assemble and disassemble the model in 3D environment.
Our application will make the user study IC engine model in the Virtual Reality for making user feel virtual environment real. Apart from this, Education Institutions in our region will get to know about this technology and make people aware by studying using this technology. Our application will teach students about the concepts and skills about the working principle of IC engines in practicum activities
Our application will also provide facility to students to observe and try to recognize components briefly, and they can spend time to disassemble and reassemble it. It will be interactive and attract the attention of the students and educational organizations.
Every education institution develops amodel which is shown to the students manually and students have to accept it. Student might not get exact concept and ideas of the models and get confused about its working. Students and people wish to study the IC engine model in detail by assembling and disassembling the model which is not feasible in reality because of some constraints. This wish is fulfilled by our application which contains such environments to examine and learn the IC engine model.
Virtual reality has gone from research to educational tool to indispensable clinical application in patient care. A brief review of the current status of the use of VR in medicine will provide the springboard for the current gaps that provide future opportunities in simulation as well as an introduction to new advanced technologies that are revolutionizing medicine and which will require VR for educational andtraining support and clinical applications. Some topics for discussion are virtual patients, cadavers and autopsies, surgical rehearsal, education, robotic surgery, suspended animation, regeneration and tissue engineering. The challenge: how creatively can VR support these incredible new technologies? [2]
This paper describes a virtual reality (VR) simulator, for the purpose of education, training and prototyping of telemanipulation of carbon nanotubes. Major challenges in interfacing ahuman operator with tasks of manipulating nanotubes via ahaptic VR interface are outlined. After areview of previous efforts, we present the current state of our VR simulator for nanotube manipulation. The collision detection, interaction force modeling, deformation simulation and haptic rendering of nanotubes are then discussed. Results of virtual manipulation of carbon nanotubes are presented within an immersive VR set-up.[3]
Using the virtual reality multimedia, students from two different backgrounds (Nursing and Business) were given a tutorial on topics related to basic human anatomy. After the completion of this tutorial, each student was interviewed and invited to provide comments and feedback. It was concluded that virtual reality multimedia could enhance learning by providing much more realistic images and visual features. Both groups of students found the virtual reality multimedia teaching to be very effective in terms of ease of learning and its very close relationship with the real world. This paper reports the research findings of using virtual reality in teaching and learning. It also investigates the possibilities of incorporating virtual reality technology into the tertiary education courses.[4]
The use 360VR Videos may increase the Engagement and Attentiveness of Students compared to Traditional 2D videos used in Medical Education. We therefore Developed a Stereoscopic 360VR video to demonstrate how to use the WHO’s Surgical safety checklist in the operating room. With use of VR technology, we aimed to give the medical students arealistic experience of the operating room where they can observe the teamwork performed to ensure patient safety during surgery. The video is recorded with aVuze 3D 360 Spherical VR Camera and edited in Final Cut Pro with use of Dashwoods 360VR Toolbox Workflow Plugins.[5]

Unity supports two languages i.e. C# and JavaScript. We are developing our game using C#. This is very known and popular language for development in unity. C# is object-oriented language which contains classes and objects.
Unity has predefined classes and objects for supporting development in unity engine. We had used the predefined classes for the development.
