The A-IS process that is designed for the organization is very efficient however the delivery process in the as is model is has not been described efficiently. There is no explanation of the situation in which the customer is unable to receive the product in case of any emergency. The to-be procedure has been designed to provide a solution to this situation. The delivery department would be checking if the customer is available. If the customer is available then the product would be delivered to the customer, however if the customer is unavailable the product would be returned to the seller. Hence, the situation is resolved and the order of the customer will be cancelled.
The ER diagram is already normalized. The table for the normalized entities are provided below:
Customers (CustomerID (pk), CustomerName, Customer, CustomerContact)
Category (CategoryName(pk))
Product (ProdcutID (pk), ProductPrice, CategoryName, Price)
Order (OrderID (pk), ProdcutID (fk), CustomerID (fk), StaffID (fk)Date)
Invoice (InvoiceID (pk), OrderID (fk), PaymentDate)
Payment (PaymentID (pk), InvoiceID (fk), Amount)
Staffs (StaffID (pk), StaffName, Salary)
For the testing efficiency of the newly developed website various type of aspects of the website are tested. The functionality testing would involve the testing of the outgoing links, the internal links, the anchor links and the mail to links. Proper function of all these functionalities would lead us to the next phase of testing. The usability testing involves the testing of the navigation, the hyperlinks included in the system, and the user interface of the system. The sitemaps and the navigation bars are to checked if they are provided correctly or not. The next phase involves the user interface testing. It is to be seen whether the interface of the system is attractive to the users or not and also the contents of the website should be relevant and the relevance check is to be performed efficiently. The database of the website is also to be tested. The redundancy and the deadlock states in the database should be analyzed and Selenium tool can be used for the testing of the interface of the website. the Compatibility testing of the website is also to be done so that the website is supported in different type of platforms and the different web browsers. The NetMechanic Tool can be used for this purpose. The Scurity Testing for the website can be done easily with the help of the Babel Enterprise, BFBTester and CROSS tools. This is done to test the authorization and validation systems incorporated in the system. After the completion of this testing the drawbacks are to be identified and the website is to be updated accordingly so that the efficiency of the business in the website is maintained.
For the training of the staffs some programs are to be arranged. The main department of staff that require training are sales department and the delivery department. The sales team are to be trained on the new interfaces developed for the company. they are required to follow the proper instructions and send the items that are undelivered to the sellers. The delivery department are to be trained on the manual processes that are to be followed for the delivery of the product. This would involve training both the warehouse staffs and the delivery staffs as well.
For the system changeover the new method can be easily incorporated to the existing system. Also the source code can be easily edited and the new process can be implemented in the main method of the source code. Additionally, the in house development would be helpful for the organization. The local developer of the organization would help the development of the system and the database administrator can very easily alter his database and the include new functions in the database of the system. Some additional entities can also be added manually to the database if required by the system. This would also reduce the time of implementation and cost of implementation would also be saved.
The design of the system would be delivered to the top management (CEO) of the organization (Amazon). The main objective of the top management would be providing the website with the updated delivery procedures as soon as possible.
The CEO must embrace appropriate procedures so the clients can complete web based shopping on Amazon safe and safely with no issue. The clients are constantly dreaded of web based shopping. They stress whether they will get the correct item or not. They are likewise concerned on the off chance that they are not happy with the item they can restore the item or not. Amazon should set aside a few minutes. They should make the arrival approaches smooth so they clients can put stock in Amazon. Amazon must decrease the incomes which the venders pay them. The venders can have the capacity to diminish the costs of the items. Both the venders and Amazon can expand the client base and can gain colossal benefit. Likewise, Amazon must introduce an antivirus program, alongside that they should execute a firewall. Amazon must refresh the antivirus program every day; it will encourage both the clients and the merchants.
The scope of the project involves the analysis of the delivery method of the system that is in place already. The proper updates in the system are to be installed within a short span of time so that the identified drawback would not hamper the system much.
The Management is recommended that they assemble an efficient project team within the organization. The outsourcing is to be efficiently so that the personnel that are assigned with the task are both efficient and cheap to accommodate. The team would also be responsible for training the staffs.
