Amelia Mary Earhart was born on July 24,1897, in Atchison Kansas. Amelia attend Hyde Park Academy and Central High School. Amelia lived with her grandparents till the age of twelve. Around the age of 15-16 her father was fighting a losing battle against alcoholism. At the age of 17 her mom’s friends house, where Amelia graduated from Hyde Park in 1915.
