The complexities of the project has grown in abundance with the implication of the issues and the management of the factors. The advent of technologies had been helpful for aligning the work. The project of Deepwater Horizon has been selected for forming the implication of the alignment works and development of the oil rig in the Gulf of Mexico. The following assignment had included the utilization of the design structure matrix (DSM) and peer review evaluation on the topic for analyzing the work implication. The report would include the analysis of the project and the factors controlling the progress of the project.

The Design Structure Matrix (DSM) is a tool used for the communication of the complexity of the project using the analysis of the task dependencies and mapping complexities. The tool would help in identifying the complexities of the Deepwater Horizon Project and form the relationship between its activities. The following is the design structure matrix for the project,

The Deepwater Horizon Project was on its final exploratory phase for the exploratory drilling when the oil rig explode. It resulted in ceasing the works at Macondo well in Gulf of Mexico as the disaster took a toll of 11 lives. The following are the constraints and limitations for the project,

Scope-Trio Factor: The trio factors of cost, time, and quality are the main constraints for the project. The time, quality and cost boundary on the project would result in forming the specific alignment of the major resources and work limitation.

Machinery and Equipment: The limitation of the dependency on the machine and equipment would result in major factor alignment. The limitation of the knowledge of machinery and equipment handling would result in forming issues in managing the project.

Safety Issues: The safety issues in another major factor that would act as a constraint for the project. The various issues in the completion of the project had resulted in formation of the management works for aligning major issues.

The Deepwater Horizon Project was done for development of the oil rig in the Gulf of Mexico and its complexity is due to the fact that the work required developing the issues and identification of the improved work alignment. The works included in the development of the oil rig was extraction, refining, and transportation. The implication of the machine and equipment would result in major factor alignment and the complexity rose due to the limitation of the knowledge of machinery and equipment handling. It would result in forming issues in managing the project due to the probable technical factors of machine and equipment handling issues.
