Discuss about the Comparison of Two Reports for Gamma Company.
Gamma Company is a consultancy firm that operates on a regional basis and provides business solutions to the corporate clients. The organization also has four offices in Asia, which include, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taipei and Shanghai. The data is based mainly on the opinions that are provided by the 313 employees. This report is based on the comparison and analysis of the two reports that have been developed by evaluating the emotional intelligence and the consciousness of the employees. The other factors that influence the employees include, the stressful experiences, the intention of quitting their jobs, the interpersonal conflicts, the role ambiguity and many more.
The report A is based on the analysis of the stress that is caused to the employees based on four major types of reactions which include, the psychological strain, somantic complaints, intention to quit and burnout. The ratings were to be provided by the employees based on the scale of 1 to 5. The seven major workplace stimulus that was being considered for the analysis include, interpersonal conflicts, abusive supervision, emotional labour, work-family conflicts, role ambiguity, job insecurity and job ambiguity.
The report B on the other hand is mainly based on same survey of the employees and the ways by which they react to the seven different stimuli of stress in the workplace. The ratings in this case were based on the mean scores that have been calculated with respect to the data that has been collected in the process. This analysis is mainly based on the conflicts between the workplace and family life of people (Ahmad et al., 2015).
The issues that have been analysed in the second report are based on the employees who suffer more in various stressful situations. The different stimuli that have been suggested in the report of team A have not been analysed clearly in the report that has been presented by team B. The report does not provide detailed analysis about the various effects that are caused by the different workplace stimuli. The lack of clarity in the analysis is thereby a major problem in the report that has not been able to analyse the various problems that can occur in the operations of the company.
The issues that have been analysed in the report A is based on the lack of detailed explanation about the various stimuli that are related to the workplace. The rating scale that has been used in the report is also not competent enough to provide perfect results of various stimuli. The different findings based on the stimuli are not able to detect the effects of different factors on the ways by which employees in the organization work. The different conditions under which the employees feel stressed in the organizational operations have not been defined clearly. This has been a major reason behind the lack of proper results in this case. The results have thereby not been enough for the analysis that has been done about the conflicts among the employees (Antoniou & Cooper, 2017). The theory that has been used in the analysis is also not explained in detail. This has resulted in the lack of proper understanding of the issues and the stress that is related to the entire process. The insecurity of the employees has not been analysed in the report in an appropriate manner.
The issues related to conflicts in the workplace were the main area of discussion in the two reports. The reports were mainly based on the ways by which the employees feel the stress related to conflicts within the organizational settings. The report A has been able to define only certain factors of the entire evaluation process. On the other hand, the points based on conflicts the issues that can occur in the workplace have also been explained in detail in the analysis of report B. The reports have thereby not been able to analyse the issues in an effective manner. These issues have been analysed in the report and the personality traits of the employees have not been analysed in the report in an effective manner.
The report A was mainly based on the analysis of the exit interview of employees and the major reason was based on the evaluation of the various causes of stress that was experienced by them. The major issues that cause stress of the employees include, emotional intelligence, consciousness, workplace stress, reaction to the stressful situations and many more. The opinions of the employees were taken with the help of the rating scales that have been provided to them (Lockwood, Henderson & Stansfeld, 2017). The scale of ratings was between 1 to 5 which was mainly used for the purpose of analysing the ways by which the stress levels in the workplace have affected them. The seven types of workplace stimuli have been used for the purpose of analysing the ways by which employees in the organization operate. The conditions which lead to extreme stress of the employees have been analysed in the report A. The high mean of the analysis has thereby indicated that the employees have been suffering hugely due to the various issues in the organization. The stress related stimuli that occur in the organizations have been analysed with the help of opinions that have been provided by the employees. The ranks provided by the employees have been the base for the entire analysis that has been conducted in report A. The conditions that are related to the stress of employees have also been analysed based on the different parameters which have been provided in the report. The correlation between different variable gas been used for the purpose of analysing the amount of stress that is experienced by the employees within the organizational settings. The seven stimuli have been taken as the base for the analysis of stress levels. The conclusion that has been reached after the analysis is that the seven stimuli do not affect the stress levels of the employees to the highest levels. The most important reason behind the stress of the employees is the insecurity related to their job. The uncertainty about whether the employees are interested to continue their job has a major effect on the stress that they feel in the entire work process. The analysis of the type of employees who are more prone to stress has also been a major part of the entire report. This analysis has thereby helped to detect the ways by which different employees are affected by stress that is experienced in the organizational processes. The emotional intelligence has been a good method that is used for the purpose of measuring the consciousness of the employees. The ability of the employees to use their emotions is thereby analysed in the report (Rees et al., 2015). This has provided details about the ways by which the various work processes affect the employees. The security levels of the jobs that are performed by the employees is also an important issue that has been analysed effectively with the help of emotional intelligence test. This test has been helpful in coming to the result that the employees who get angry faster are more prone high stress levels as compared to those who have control over their emotions. The employees belonging to different countries have been considered in the analysis. The employees belonging to Hong Kong have been found to be more prone towards quitting their job of they are not secure. On the other hand, the employees of Singapore are comparatively less prone to give up their jobs due to insecurity that they are facing in the organizational operations. The employees of Taipei have proved to the least prone to quitting their jobs due to the reasons like insecurity. The emotional based test has been useful in detecting the ways by which the employees belonging to different parts of the world are prone to emotional stress. The levels of stress have been successfully linked with the other factors that affect the entire thought process of the employees (Spector, 2015).
The report B is based on the ways by which the turnover rates of the employees in the organizations can be analysed in an effective manner. The main aim of the report is therefore to analyse the reason behind the increase of turnover rates in the organization. The stressful situations that have been faced by the employees in the organization have been analysed in the report. The seven stimuli related to stress is the main point of analysis in the report that has been made by team B. Another major factor that has been considered in the report is based on the conflicts that can arise between the workplace and family life of the employees. The levels of emotional labour of the employees have been analysed in the report. The emotions that are felt by the employees in different situations is considered to be the emotional labour. The influence of the colleagues of these employees is a major reason behind the fear that they feel related to reactions that they can receive from the others in the organization. This affects the ways by which the employees work within the organizational settings. The stress levels of the employees have been analysed with the help of behaviour that they receive from their colleagues. The conflicts that arise between work life and the family life of the employees is also a part of the factors that can cause stress to the employees. The process of analysis that has been used in report B is thereby based on the relationships that are formed within the organization. This is a useful way of measuring the stress that is faced by the employees within the organization. However, this process is not able to clearly identify the ways by which the stress levels of the employees can be analysed. The stress levels that are experienced by people belonging to different areas have been analysed by the areas where they come from. This process is similar to the one that has been used in the previous report. The process has been proved to be quite useful for the purpose of measuring the amounts of stress that is experienced by the various employees belonging to the different countries of the world. The behaviour of employees belonging to different countries have been analysed in a successful manner with the help of this process. The process of correlation has been useful for the proper analysis of the ways by which they behave in certain situations. The second report has thereby been useful for the successful analysis of the various issues that are related to the stress levels of the employees.
The recommendations that can be provided to the team A is based on the ways by which the stress levels of the employees can be analysed in an effective manner. The stimuli that have been used by the team for analysing the stress levels are useful and effective. However, the seven stimuli have not been analysed in detail in the report that has been made by the team. The reports were made after requests that were made by the top management of the company. The stimuli were ranked with the help of the scale that was suggested by team A. The team can thereby be recommended to analyse each of the factors in an effective manner and further provide the details that are required by the management to analyse the behaviour of the employees. The stress levels of the employees play an important role in the entire work process of the company. This helps the management to analyse the ways by which they can reduce the stress of the employees so that they can become much more productive in nature. The productivity of the employees is highly dependent on the ways by which they behave within the organization. This further helps the employees to show their levels of performance with respect to the levels of stress that are experienced by them. The main suggestion that can be given to team A is to analyse the different factors in an individual basis and further try to find the effects that the individual factors have on the successful operations of the organization. The team can be recommended to analyse the responses that are provided by the employees for the purpose of creating a report which can help the management to know about the stress levels that are experienced by them on a regular basis. The level of job security can also be analysed by detailed examination of the various factors and the stimuli that are considered by the team. The insecurity that is felt by the employees is mainly based on the ways by which they are able to perform in the organization. The team can be recommended to analyse the emotions of the employees regarding the jobs that are performed by them within the organization.
The team B can be recommended to provide various solutions to the corporate clients. The members of the team can thereby prepare the report based on the ways by which the employees provide their responses to the various questions that are asked to them about the work process within the organization. The recommendation that is provided to the team is based on the ways by which the stress of the employees have led to the high turnover. The stress levels and the relations that are formed by the employees within the organization is important for the purpose of analysing the ways by which they can react within the organizational premises. The team thereby needs to analyse the correlation of each of the stimuli of the employees with the ways by which these are able to increase their levels of stress. The conflicts that are faced by the employees between the workplace and the family relations also needs to be analysed in detail which has not been done in the report in an appropriate manner. The relationships of the employees with their colleagues has been provided more importance as compared to the other factors. However, this factor alone is not enough to analyse the ways by which the employees behave within the company. The other factors and the stimuli therefore needs to be taken into account for the purpose of analysing the ways by which the employees behave and the organization operates in the environment.
Conclusion
The analysis of the reports A and B has provided me with the insights that are related to the ways by which the stress levels of the employees have affected the productivity of the organization. My own experience has thereby taught me that the stress that I
have experienced while working in the organization has also been the major reason behind the lack of my productivity. The lack of productivity has caused the lack of revenues for my company. The relationships that I share with my colleagues is also important for the ways by which I behave within the organization. The bad behaviour with my colleagues has sometimes affected my work process to the highest levels. My relationship with the superiors has thereby provided me with the motivation to improve the process of my work and further increase the revenues of the company in the process. The reports of team A and B have helped me to realise that the entire process has been useful for analysing the stress levels of the employees who are a part of the organization. The main part of the analysis that has been helpful for the examining the stress of the employees and the ways by which they react to various situations within the organization. The analysis has thereby taught me many aspects that are related to the stress levels and the job security of the employees. The security in the jobs is important for the reduction of their stress that they face. The conflicts that arise within the workplace and family life of employees is also an important determinant of the stress levels. I have faced this issue in the organization which has been affecting my productivity. The issues that have taken place in my personal life have affected the ways by which I work in the organization. The employees are thereby able to provide their best performance in the organization if the work and family life is balanced effectively. The entire work process of the company is thereby affected by the personal stress and family lives of the employees. I have therefore learnt the importance of a good family life for providing my best performance in the organization.
