Personality tests facilitate in analyzing the human personality that affects decision making behavior on a situation. Most of these personality assessment instruments are introspective self-evaluation questionnaires that offers rating scale to attain personality scores (Christensen, Cote & Latham, 2016). The objective of the essay is to analyze both the case studies of All Asia Airways and Ford Pinto in order to evaluate their offered audit, governance and termination reports. Through carrying out my personality test by employing tools such as Authentic leadership self-assessment questionnaire, reality testing and values questionnaire scoring test I will be able to analyze the provided case studies and provide an opinion on those cases based on my personality test results.
Ford Pinto Case based Self Reflection
I have analyzed the Ford Pinto Case Study and have gathered that Ford Motor Company considered manufacturing its own small cars and after a long time, the engineers of the company revealed that rear-end collations might take place that can hamper Pinto’s fuel tank. I have also gathered that there was an issue regarding assembly-line machinery as it was defective and Ford attained a patent on developing a safer gas tank. To analyze the views on the case I have considered carrying out authentic leadership self- assessment questionnaire analysis. From carrying out the test, I have attained an understanding that I have high scores in listing my weaknesses and my values reflect my core values (Duckworth & Yeager, 2015). The test revealed that I tend to share my feelings with others and I also do not allow group pressure to have control over me. All the aspects of this test revealed my personality regarding authentic leadership. It revealed that I have high scores on self-awareness, internalized moral perspective, balanced processing and maintaining relational transparency (Christensen, Cote & Latham, 2016). Moreover, the test results have also revealed that this his self-assessment questionnaire was developed in measuring mu authentic leadership ability through evaluating four major aspects of this test indicated above.
I have also attained an understanding from this test results through comparing my scores on all these components that I can determine the scores those are stronger and the components those are weaker in such categories. I was also able to interpret my scores on authentic leadership through employing the guideline indicating (16-20: high) and (low: 15) (Gentina et al., 2018). As I have higher scores, it has signified that I have stronger ability of authentic leadership. The test results also indicated that I tend to obtain a feedback on the way of understanding my personal traits and understanding. It has also enhanced my understanding on the fact that I do not tend to focus on my own viewpoint at the expense of other individuals’ views. Moreover, such personality test result revealed my capability to accept feelings that air have regarding myself and I have enhanced moral guide regarding my act as leaders (Hershberger et al., 2018).
Considering such test results, I have analyzed the case study of Ford Pinto and have a viewpoint that Ford did not decide re-engineering of its cars as it had addressed all the safety standards based on US government price competition and their results in the cost benefit analysis. I think that the decision made by the company is not correct as they decided to focus on profit making instead of taking into consideration their consumers safety (Specht et al., 2014). This in future might impact company’s reputation.
I have analyzed the case of All Asia Airways and have gathered that he has established his own transport business and expanded it to offer aircraft freight services, developing low budget airline to distant regions. To expand his operations the company was signed an agreement to follow US law code of conduct that stated accepting invitations from suppliers was not prohibited. In the meanwhile, I have also realized from analyzing the case study that the maintainice department reported about their faulty fuel pump. In such situation David the owner did not agree to pay a high price per pump along with special fees to the supplier to assist administrative matters (Judge & Zapata, 2015). To analyze this case study, I have carried out two personality tests such as reality testing and values questionnaire scoring test. From the test results I have realized that among all the aspects mentioned in the values questionnaire in the theoretical, social and economic aspects I have attained a high score.
Moreover, a medium score is attained by me in the aspects such as aesthetics, political and spiritual ones. Based on the value questionnaire test results is have gathered that I tend to provide an increased importance on following values and do not tend to compare them with other individuals that reflects comparative scores across values (Liang, 2017). In addition, the test result also revealed that in analyzing the case study of All Asia Airlines case I might tend to have a great focus on understanding the practical, theoretical and mechanistic explanation regarding the situation that took place in the case. My reality testing score indicated that I have the intention to think that self-awareness is important for ensuring moral development. In addition, it has also revealed that I have attained a high score in most of the questions of this test that indicates I readily acknowledge the areas of my weaknesses. Moreover, I also have an intention to believe that the corporate leaders are not likely to succeed without maintaining an intensity of moral competency (Newman, Schwarz, Cooper & Sendjaya, 2017). My overall moral competence test revealed that I am morally competent across the board and also tend to over-represent my strength. The test revealed that I tend to share my feelings with others and I also do not allow group pressure to have control over me. These scores reflect that I might need to attain feedback from others in order to conform the accuracy of my test results that might reflect my decision given for the case study of All Asia Airlines (Sundstrom et al., 2016).
I have analyzed the case study that reflected my viewpoint on the case focused on my perishability test results (Schminke, Arnaud & Taylor, 2015). I have a viewpoint that the owner must agree to pay such amount in order to ensure the safety of all its passengers. Moreover, I feel that installation of gas pump is necessary in the flights by replacing the defective ones as absence of the same might result in serious accidents of the passengers.
