The USA is Among the nation in which industrialization is rampant. It has various unique and well-established programs that help in ensuring that the health of its’ people is in good shape. To be precise, the nation has numerous establishments or rather administrations that are aimed at the unification of health care programs across all state in the USA (Cummings & Worley, 2014). This case-study is purposed on providing a meaningful and detailed information in regards to one of these establishments.
The case study also addresses the readiness of the targeted organization and the preparedness it has in addressing the needs for health care of the state’s citizens in the decade. Additionally, this paper is concerned with the long-term plans that are put in place to deal with the problems associated with the growth of the healthcare network, the recruitment relating to nurses, the management of the available resources and the level to which the healthcare programs satisfy the need of the patients. For this matter, this case study focuses on Banner Healthcare. This is one of the most famous health care, as it cuts across the better part of the USA as a nation. Among the services it provides is, soothing care, emergency care, test centre care, outpatient surgery programs, pharmaceutical services, blood-screening services and rehab programs (Kinney et. al, 2015).
This organization is devoted to predicting the future in regards to the well-being of its’ patients. This is very essential in earning the patients’ trust. This way, a good rapport is established between the organization and the patient. This is very essential for the organization in laying the strategic plans and making a decision regarding the future health of their client (Blank, 2013). Sometimes one may wonder why the lean start-up changes on a daily basis. This plan is very important in enhancing the increase in the organizational service coverage, in improving the quality of services it provides and finally increasing the total number of attended patient, per day.
Among the plans that are very essential in ensuring the future well-being of the patients is; ensuring that the organization utilizes the most recent technologies throughout its’ operations; ensuring the implementation of the modern medical equipment; establishing good governance and educating the manager on the importance and how to exercise good leadership skills; making necessary improvements in the competence of the current health service providers; and finally, enhancing the accessibility to health services to as many people as possible. This can be achieved through the establishment of new health facilities in areas where there were no such before and improving the status of the already existing ones (Struijs, Drewes, Heijink, & Baan, 2015).
Increase in the service coverage is essential as it ensures that most patients receive the necessary health care services, despite the state from which they belong (Cummings & Worley, 2014). This plan involves charity and donation thus, it’s beneficial to all, even those who can’t afford the healthcare services (Blank, 2013). Banner Healthcare is planning to extend their services to states in which they own some lands and also plans to allow other interested countries to have membership certificates, so they can enjoy the organization’s services as well.
The organization acknowledges the importance of having the modern technologies implemented in their facilities, for instance, the use of mobile-oriented IT set-up the internetworking healthcare services. The use of these services is believed to play an important role in capital economization, ensuring convenience in human resource to clients and in ensuring time-saving protocols. The introduction of leadership training sessions is aimed at improving the leadership qualities of the organization’s management. This is vital in ensuring the future success of the organization (Cummings & Worley, 2014).
The organization also plans to diversify their emergency services; this is aimed at helping curb the number of the patients who crowd on the present casualties for healthcare services per unit time.
Network growth
The institution has acknowledged the importance of the internet and the corresponding technologies in providing the healthcare services. As a result, they have laid strategies that are aimed at making an increase in the number of future networks in relation to the healthcare services. This would be implemented across the united states as at large. In the enhancement of easy communique across the networks, a special medical-related automated device is to be used (Gantz, Sherman, Jasper, Choo, Herrin?Giffith, & Harris, 2012). This device will store the medical history of every client and it’s just a matter of clicking a button and the information required will appear. Implementation of special cameras and audio devices in maternity(is) to ease conversations between the patients and the physicians is among the planned future improvement in regards to technology. This technological improvement if combined with the planned expansions would mean a better service for the patients by the organization (Feussner & Trastek, 2015).
Nurse Staffing
Nurses are the most important resource in any healthcare organization. With this in mind, the top management of Banner healthcare institution is laying down plans to recruits as many nurses as possible in the future. This plan is aimed at the reduction of workload for the nurses, which is believed to help increase their efficiency (Cummings & Worley, 2014).
Resource Management
In ensuring the satisfaction of clients, adequate resources are required. This organization is aware of that and as result, they have laid down strategies aiming at ensuring the availability of the most resources that are required to meet the patients’ expectations. The casualty section is always very much crowded with patients and as a result, its’ one of the targeted sector in Banner Healthcare for improvement. In order to make these improvements, they intend to purchase new effective equipment for the sector (Blank, 2013). In addition, enrollment of programs that aims at training employees on how to manage resources and on how to be well responsible, are being put in place. These would improve resource utilization in the organization.
Patient satisfaction
In ensuring that they put the clients’ satisfaction up-front, Banner healthcare institution has laid a strategy of implementing a system that has a user-friendly GUI for future patient-program interactions. This would create a sense of privacy to patients and thus feel comfortable in expressing their symptoms to the machine than they would feel when expressing themselves to another person (Gantz, Sherman, Jasper, Choo, Herrin?Giffith, & Harris, 2012). In addition, there is a proposition for the implementation of an interactive website which gets information from the patients, store their bio-data for those clients and then these data can be extracted from the stores by the professionals for use by the institution (Tsai, Orav, & Jha, 2015).
Cultural issues affecting the quality of healthcare services of an organization.
For any healthcare organization to emerge successful, it is very important to be sensitive to ways in which culture and faith impact your patients’ healthcare experiences. In order to ensure the effectiveness in laying down the strategies that are geared towards improving the quality of services offered by an organization, there are a number of issues that one should deal with.
Among these issues is the language barrier issue. In trying to ensure that the services they provide spread across many states and nations, healthcare organizations find it difficult for its employees to interact with the residents of such areas due to differences in the language each group speak. In this case, the organization involved should hire the interpreters so as to enhance communication with it’ clients.
Another thing that should be put into consideration is the issue of cultural beliefs. Every community in the world has a different way in viewing things. With this in mind, any organization seeking success in expanding its’ services across territories should seek to first understand the various cultural beliefs so as to be able to turn such believes into health promotion tools (Gantz, Sherman, Jasper, Choo, Herrin?Giffith, & Harris, 2012).
