The effects of oil and gas production on the environment increases day to day and therefore, should get responsibly managed. The purpose of this paper is analyzing alternative means available to ensure the sustainable development of oil and gas industries, and evaluate the measures taken by government and consumers to strengthen sustainability in the oil and gas production industry.
