Discuss about the Contours of a Bible Based Christ Centered Worldview.
This essay highlights the processes by which God deals with His people. It reflects the proper language as well as the imagery of nature that God takes up to compare the forgiveness of sin. So basically this part of the Bible reflects the ultimate restoration process due to the forgiveness of God. In addition, the fact that is more reflected is the relationship between man and God runs parallel to his or her married life. Ultimately this can be expected that this part of Bible will provide an ultimate as well as a practical demonstration to deal with the messed up marriages(Nathan & Kim, 2013).
By going through the details of both the Hosea of Bible the idea regarding love, betrayal, sacrifice, as well as forgiveness, can gained quite well. From a personal perspective, it can be said that bible had mentioned the basic knowledge of sin, judgment, and restoration. In addition, it is personally felt that God described the value ultimate restoration in Bible. With the preview of real and practical life along with the practical examples Israel and her husband, I felt that in Bible God described how the marriage gets disrupted due to various reasons. From the description of this context, I found that being unfaithful in any kind of relationship is the worst part of any relationship which must not be followed by any individual. At the same time, I also found that the God is ready to forgive His relations at any cost. But simultaneously He also makes them face the consequences of their sins as the part of punishment. Thus the ultimate thing that I found from the story of Hosea is to stay connected to God in any situation in any condition without any question as well as full devotion and dedication. By that manner even if the individual like us commits any sin or mistake them God will show the proper path by which it can be restored because God has a self-satisfied as well as the merciful heart. In that context realizing God’s love is the ultimate part that the individual has to go through. Other than that the context of Hosea also provided me the idea which indicates real virtue of a relationship lies in three words, i.e.., the words of confession, words of praise and words of commitment. From that description, I got the clear idea that these three things are the vital part that strengthens the relationship making the partners closer to each other. Next to that God also described that a marriage relationship should go in accordance with some principles that should be present within the husband and wife. By maintaining the relationship principles both can become loyal as well as faithful to one another. In relation to that context, I got clear that forgiveness is the nature which God described as the key part to maintain any relationship. It will make the purification of the individual from within and make them lead a path that will make their relationship healthier.
All the above chapters have shown that the characters have issues with unfaithfulness by breaking discipline along with restoration. Still, this chapter includes the ultimate restoration. Therefore the chapter starts with the saying “Return Israel………….been your downfall” which denoted that God indicates all the possible sins committed by continuing unfaithfulness or adultery with him. Along with that God brings the charges against His own people. This part of Bible indicates all the people in this world to be His wife and Him to be the husband of them(Pang, 2013). In that context, God showed that the people have cheated on Him by showing interest in all other things created by Him. By this manner, the people created by God get departed from Him and chased after all other things. In relation to this story of Israel, God brings three charges on her. Those charges are the no knowledge about God, no dedicated love for God and finally getting embedded with lots of deception and lies. For that reason God wants His people to return to Him.
Later God says “Take words with…………….fruit of our lips”. As mentioned in the above part God wants His people to return to Him. Basically, God is quite hurt by knowing all the sins committed by His people. In that case, even if He charges any kind of punishment on them so he also has the capability to forgive His people. On the whole, God only wants that when His people meet Him they should go with three types of words in front of him. In that case, God indicates the three kinds of words to be vital to maintain any kind of relationship. Those are the words of confession to forgive the sins, words of praise to fruit the lips and the words of commitment to enhance the will power(REINGOLD, 2014). These three words help to strengthen the relationship in any situation. So God indicates that by attaining these three words His people can get closer to Him.
Later on, He also says that “Assyria cannot………find compassion”. In this part, God clarified that everything is under His power and no one in this world can save them from any kind of problem. But usually, people trust many other things to get through the problems. God thinks that His people are really fools to go for all other choices as He is waiting and He is quite forgiving so it is better to return to Him. Further, He says that “I will heal…..from them”. It clearly indicates that God is the above of all. He cannot only forgive rather people can trust Him blindly(Smith, 2016). He is willing to heal their unfaithfulness by loving them unconditionally. He also takes the anger away from people. God describes that the three kinds of principle will help in saving the marriage(Robinson, 2014). A spouse has the full control over another to deal with his or her unfaithfulness. Next, to that, a spouse should love the other partner unconditionally. Lastly, a spouse must take away the anger out from the other. Therefore as a loyal and faithful partner, God always pursues His responsibilities very beautifully and accurately but people fail to understand that. In that manner, God says that people should return to the path of Lord(Stanley, 2013).
Next, to that God says that “I will be like…………..the wine of Lebanon”. Through these verses, God indicates basically describes the process by which He heals the sins and provides forgiveness. In that context, He uses some metaphors like of tree to clarify the concept of healing. Like the water nourishes the tree, God provides nourishment to people and their relationships. God provides life to the burnt relationship and makes them grow healthier with time. In his saying “Ephraim, what more…………..fruitfulness comes from me”, He made it clear that He will fulfill all the promises that He had given to His people. As per this case, He fulfilled His promise to restore Israel from that difficult condition. He had started it with the ruling Cyrus under the leadership of Zerubbabel, Ezra, and Nehemiah. Ephraim in that condition is quite not interested in any idols and had promised his people that he would take care of them(Ryken, 2013). Therefore by responding to their needs, he provided them shelter. This made him leafy cypress that yielded fruits to the people as well as Israel. In that context, it is a must that as partners both of them should forgive each other at the time of need. At the end, God says “Who is wise…………………………..rebellious stumble in them”. God indicated in his saying that forgiveness is not an easy part to give. And most importantly not everyone is capable of forgiving. He also said that it’s the matter that who needs forgiveness, the matter to forgive everyone(Simoneaux, 2015). God has all the authority to forgive all sins. Before taking to him God purifies the within of the individual by taking out all wickedness. Therefore God says that Forgiveness costs only the pride of the individual and it is possessed by those who are humble before God.
Conclusion
This paper highlighted the main points focused on God to save the relationship. Also, the use of the qualities above will purify the within of the individual by taking them on the right path that leads to God. On the whole in this part of Bible God emphasized forgiveness to be the base of every relationship maintaining which the husband-wife can make their married life healthier.
