This report depicts the details of RALS (Riverina Agriculture and Lifestyle Show) project which will be developed by the combined efforts of Virtucon and Globex companies. Virtucon is a well-known Information Technology based company which is focused to develop an advanced online ticket booking system for the Globex Company to improve their existing ALS project developed by the RALS (Riverina Agriculture and Lifestyle Show) community. As the RALS committee has decided to expand their ALS show in two different rural communities those are ways from the current locality respectively around 500km and 700km. In order to serve effective and efficient service to the consumers the committee is willing to invest much. With the help of the online ticket booking system the existing process will become much faster and error free at the same time.
Over past 17 years of services the RALS committee is serving a show for the consumers to share different knowledge regarding agriculture but from last 2 to 3 years the ticket serving system of the company is facing different issues. In order to overcome those issues the community has decided to change the manual system in automated ticketing system. Through the online ticket booking system the consumers will be able to get tickets regardless of their location and time as well. It is expected that the local tourism committee would get measurable success and revenue from this service. In order to develop the business process, long term relationship is needed to be developed by them.
In addition to the general requirements some additional requirements are also associated to it such as the exhibitors are allowed to call the community for their expectation and needs as well. The exhibitor’s site will be easily visited by the consumers to get available show passes. Different categories of shows are there such as machineries, products, rural suppliers etc and the consumers are allowed to search and book for their desired products. In order to develop online ticket booking system proper communication plan and roles and responsibilities of the project team members are needed to be served accurately. If these roles are properly served by the project members then the IT project manager would be able to complete the task within estimated time and project budget also.
Technical knowledge: In order to develop an online ticket booking system for the RALS committee the IT team members must have the basics of technology and problem solving capabilities. Online system is not an easy job to be done rather it is quite complex one. Thus, ideas on hardware application and even about software considering accurate security measures are needed to be done by the members of the IT team.
Communication skills: Open communication is referred to as one of the most important communication skill that is strictly needed to be possessed by the project manager and project team members as well. It will help the project team members to share their knowledge and ideas to the other members. Open communication allows the project team members to create an energy and creative platform for the employees and consumers as well. It provides equal importance to all the project team members for sharing their point of views.
Leadership skills: It is known that with the help of proper leadership skills any business could get easy and effective success from the competitive marketplace. Leadership is referred to as one of the most influential and critical factor in any business. The IT project manager should have motivational quality to connect and engage the project team members properly so that they could easily share their creative ideas about the online system development easily.

Leadership is the capability to make the project team members connected to their projects. I realized that the imagination of a leader leads the project team members to understand the appealed request and consumer’s requirements easily with a self generated interest. Professional leaders allow the team members to take active participation in the project development. I think that the best possible leadership skills that each project manager should possess are as follows:
I think that besides these factors proper discipline maintenance is another important thing that must be possessed by the project manager so that the team members keep themselves engaged to the project for completing it within accurate budget and time as well.
Besides the leadership quality some more professionalism are needed for the project managers to accomplish the project goal and objectives with perfection. I experienced that technology is growing everyday and its application is eventually developing thus, the project manager should have to be aware of the ICT application details. I learned that, the clearly defined goals, top management support and resource support become easier with the implementation and ICT in the business. The business clarity increases after the implementation of Information and communication technology to any traditional business project. I also realized that the issues associated to traditional ticket booking system will be minimized with the adequate ICT communication and automated system control and monitoring.
