During my job, I have noticed that the organization named Tank Test Laboratories, is dealing with the issues regarding its internal management within the organisation. There were several conflicts in between the employees over various different issues and hence, the culture of the workplace was not at all supporting and favourable. I found that the department which was given the authority to look after the internal management of the workplace was not doing their work role in proper manner and hence, it was resulted in such a bad condition where the employees were de-motivated and their encouragement level was very down. With the same, I also noticed that the production level and the productivity of the employees were also very low. It is although very obvious for an organisation to have low productivity if its working culture and environment is set in such a destructive manner where employees are more engaged in conflicts rather than in increasing productivity. A company where the workers are not working in a collaborative manner is bound to have low success and low production which will ultimately affect the revenue production of the company. In this situation, it has become very important to develop proper HR management practices in the organization in order to increase its organizational revenue. This is because it is the only way in which such condition could be solved and oneness among the employees could be encouraged. To me, collaboration is very important in each and every organisation and i think none could deny this fact that it is one of the biggest factors which contributes to the growth and success of every organisation and its business notwithstanding the fact whether its employees are capable to perform together as a team. In today’s world there is an immense increase in competition and therefore, it has become more important than ever to encourage and promote creativity in the workplace for improving the productivity as well as for promoting an healthy employee relationship. Therefore, in this situation, I have decided to develop ‘Fayol’s six functions of management’ theory. It is mainly managerial. As per this theory, the important functions of the organization such as planning, controlling, organizing, forecasting, coordinating and commanding are being managed. According to Foyal, making up a good plan of action is one the toughest of all the five management functions. It requires strong and dynamic participation of the whole organisation. Hence, he has stated that along with implementation and respect for time, the process of planning should relate to and must be coordinated on the various different levels. Furthermore, he has said that any organisation could only function and operation in a better way if it is nicely organised. It means that in every organisation there should be enough staffs, workers, raw material and capital in order to make the organisation run smoothly. It is also very important for making good working structures. Furthermore, he has discussed about the importance of commanding by stating that if the employees are given clear work instructions so that they could easily understand what are expected from them to do, the return from the employees would be optimized in case if they are provided with a concrete instructions in context to the activities which should be carried out by them. The fourth is the coordinating. I find it much more relatable with the present condition of the company. It is a known fact that if all the works are coordinated in an organisation then it will surely perform in a better way. Hence, positive influencing of the workers is very in this process. The last but not the least is that of the importance of controlling. The HR team of the organisation must therefore look after and take care of whether the workplace activities are being carried out in accordance with the plan. By developing this theory in the organization, I may get the chance to develop the internal culture of the organization. On the other hand, Leadership theory has been mentioned in this study. This theory is very effective in the case of developing the strong relationship with the employees and employers. This can be said that by developing this model, the organization will get chance to increase employee efficiency in the workplace. I have decided to develop Human resource management practices ore effectively so that that employee engagement can be increased in the company.
Depending on the experiences, what I have gathered during my job I have noticed that the internal structure of the organization is not favourable for increasing its business growth. Therefore, I have decided to introduce ‘Fayol’s six functions of management’ theory in the organization. This theory has helped me to a great extent. By following this theory, I have got the chance to engage the employees towards their work and one of the major benefits of it that i found was that it is indeed an easy application. While technology and globalization have accelerated the rate of change, creating more uncertainties and less stability, the entrenched values behind Fayol’s principles remain a stabilizing force in the modern workplace. It has helped me to develop the strong organizational culture so that the coordination capacity of the employees can be increased. On the other hand, I have also noticed that after applying leadership management theory in the workplace, I have given enough space to the employees, so that they can discuss their needs and demands to me. I foster open discussion in the workplace and tried to promote collaborative work. I individually called out for the employees one by one in a separate room and asked about their problems and the difficulties that they might be facing in operating work in the company. I asked them if any of their needs is not met by the organisation and if they are unsatisfied with any of the things that have been implemented in the workplace. I assured them their opinions and sayings would be kept completely hidden and no one would be able to know that who has said what so that they can open up in front of me. I wanted to know their opinions regarding their job and whether they are satisfied with the culture of the company. Lastly after every discussion, I used to ask them to recommend and suggest something for the betterment of the company that they think would be beneficial for the overall business and working process in the workplace. Depending on the demands and needs I have tried to introduce various reward and recognition for motivating the employees. I have also tried to bring some changes in the workplace so that the motivation level of the employees could stay consistent. On the other hand, I have also applied for Human resource management programs. This can be considered as the most effective model applied by me for increasing the rate of productivity. By providing training to my employees, I have motivated them to achieve the goals and objectives of the organization. These types of professional practices have influenced the rate of productivity in the organization.
I have already mentioned in the previous part that in order to deal with the organizational situation, I will focus on managing the entire organizational structure, I had decided to apply Fayol’s six functions of management theory, leadership theory and HR management practices in the organization. However, I have noticed a huge gap between the theoretical knowledge and practical problems in applying these theories. It is not easy to motivate the employees through rewards. I have also realized that money is not only the motivational tool for the employees. Therefore, I have decided to fulfil the basic needs of them. On the other hand, during applying the leadership theory in the organization, I have noticed that giving instruction to the theoretical way is not easy. In order to develop the proper relationship with them, I need to develop strong relations with my employees. This will be helping me to increase their efficiency. I have also noticed, Human resource management practices, which I have decided to develop in my organization, is also another important for increasing the engagement in the organization. As my job role is to manage the entire operation in the organization. Therefore, if I want to increase the employee engagement, I need to focus on introducing modern technologies and different HR tools. By developing these, I will be able to analyse the performance. Depending on the performance rate I will be able to provide the motivational bonus to the employees. On the other hand, if internal conflicts occur in the organization, in this situation, I will not use this strategy.
This has also been identified by me that I need to focus on providing the safe and healthy atmosphere to my employees. During this period, the experiences which I have gathered, cannot be compared with the bookish knowledge of mine. I have realised that bookish knowledge has helped me to understand the strategies and the practical situation has given me the scope for implementing my knowledge. Therefore, this can be clearly said that through this process, I have learned to use my knowledge depending on the situational needs. It has been identified by me that during supervising, I have got the chance to understand the actual problem in the organization. I have also analysed the gap between the supply chain management and stoke exchange department in this organization. After analysing the Human resource and organizational structure related problems I have decided to provide the facility which will be suitable for employees rather than which facility the management wants to develop. By taking their decisions regarding the development, I have learned to apply my knowledge for organizational development.
As I have discussed before that I have joined in this organization named Tank Test Laboratories as office administrative. Hence I have a large number of responsibilities. As an office administrative I need to maintain the work efficiency of my employees. This is the very important responsibility of mine for achieving the goals and objectives of the organization. The entire supply chain management process is also being controlled by me. Another important responsibility of mine is to understand the problems of the employees so that I will be able to develop proper Human resource practices in the organization. Therefore, this position of mine is very important to develop healthy relations with my employees so that they will feel free to discuss their problems with me. According to me, employees are the main strength of every organization. Therefore, providing safe and healthy atmosphere is the first duty of mine in this organization. This has been identified in this study that in order to manage the entire organizational situation different management theories and models have been introduced. As I have good leadership quality, therefore I have realized that it will help me in the case of helping my colleagues to finish their job effectively. With the help of my sensible personality, the responsibility for understanding the employee needs can be fulfilled by me.
I love to face the challenges and also love to invent new things. This motivates me towards taking extra tasks. I have good communication skills and have proficiency in different languages as well. I think it is really very important to deal with the diversified culture in an organization. In today’s world each and every company celebrates diversity within its working environment and therefore, my communication skills would help a lot in tackling employees who belongs from diverse backgrounds so that they could find it easy to communicate with the management about their problems and issues. With the help of my friendly nature, I will be able to maintain the healthy relationship with my colleagues. However, the negative quality of mine is I become impatient, which impacts in my working performance. I feel that I am not good enough in planning for the long term. Due to this reason sometimes I take wrong decisions in the workplace. However, I always get ready to accept my failure, which motivates me. Through this process, I find another way to deal with the situation. On the other hand, this has also helped the company to manage both the internal and external operations. Hence, this can be said that these qualities of mine will be helping me in the case of managing my responsibilities in an effective way.
I have analysed that the qualities of mine have the higher level of impact in developing the internal and external situation of the company. Therefore, this can be said that I will get the chance to cover up my weaknesses. In order to maintain the efficiency, I always maintain the updated as I files as well as information backup. I really become very excited to discover and do new and innovative things. I love to take challenges. As I love to learn new things, therefore, this quality of mine increases my interest towards my job. I take challenges and find the way to overcome my challenges by using my knowledge and personal experiences. As I always try to gather knowledge, therefore before taking any drastic decision I always try to collect suggestion from my supervisor and managers. Therefore, I have realized that this quality of mine increases my dedication towards my job. As I am very friendly in nature, this helps me to interact with my co-workers. This quality of mine helps me to develop healthy organizational culture. As I have mentioned before that, I have the quality to manage the daily task, therefore, with this quality of mine I have helped me to do my job properly. This can be said that through this process, I will be able to easily accept the challenges. However, with the good qualities, I have also mentioned about negative qualities of mine. As I said before that I have not much knowledge about this position, therefore, it has become little tough for me to deal the experienced employees. I have also mentioned in this study that lack of patient is the major weakness of mine. Sometimes due to this reason for communicating with others, I become angry. Therefore, this can be said that this quality of mine has disappointed my colleagues. This has also been identified that this has created challenges in order to perform properly in the organization. Another weakness of mine is I cannot take too much of pressure therefore as its result; sometimes I face difficulties in the case of dealing with sudden external pressure. Due to this reason recently I have argued with my assistant, which has impacted on my relation with my assistant.
Goal ONE: Working effectively with others to make constructive contributions
I have repeatedly mentioned in this study that my responsibility fir this post is to manage the organizational culture and internal structure of the company. In order to manage my responsibilities, I have faced various challenges in the market. I have also mentioned about the important strength and weakness of mine which has helped me in the case of influencing my performance. Therefore, improving my performance, I have set the primary goal, so that I will be able to fulfil my responsibilities. In this situation, I have decided to increase my working efficiency so that I would be able to make constructive contributions. According to Florén, Rundquist & Fischer (2016), in order to increase the efficiency of the organization, internal culture needs to get developed. Every organization has its own culture. Since many employees spend 40 or more hours at their workplace, their organization’s culture obviously affects both their work lives as well as their personal lives. By following this, I have decided to develop the strong relationship with my colleagues. In the initial stage, I have decided to arrange different office parties, so that co-workers will get space for understanding each other. However, I have learnt one important thing from this whole process and that is that a shared organizational culture helps to unite employees of different demographics. After developing the good relation between the employee and employers, I will focus on introducing the performance measuring tools for bringing HR development. Through this process, I will be able to monitor the overall performance of the organization. After monitoring the employee efficiency, I will provide training for them of that they will be able to increase their performance quality.
According toCaligiuri (2014), by developing cultural activities in the organization, the company will be able to maintain the diversified culture in the workplace. Organizational culture helps to keep the employees working in the workplace feel motivated and loyal to the management of the organization. In case if employees view themselves as part of their organization’s culture, they tend to become more eager to want to contribute to the success of the entity. They feel a higher sense of accomplishment for being a part of an organization that they care about and work harder without having to be coerced. By following this, I will also introduce different cultural activities in the company. As I have felt that, our organization should focus on encouraging its employees for motivating them towards their work. In order to do so, I have decided to introduce different reward and compensation offers for them. In order to make sure that there is an increase in the job security of the employees, I will introduce different organizational policies. The heal insurance for the employees and their families will also be introduced for increasing employee engagement in the organization. This will make the employees feel valued and that they are considered to be an important part of the organisation. They will be highly motivated to work according to the expectations of the organisation. This initiative will be very effective to increase my effectiveness to make a constructive contribution to the company.
Goal Two: Work with one’s own and other cultures and diverse perspectives in professional settings
As stated by Coyle (2018), cultural diversification in the workplace needs to be maintained wisely. By supporting this Mejia Calam & Sanders (2015) opined that if the organization is able to use its cultural diversification as its strength, it will increase its overall performance. In order to manage the situation, I have brought some changes in my Human resource department. It has been identified by me that if the cultural workshops are being developed in the organization, it will be helping in the case of increasing respect for the employees in n my organization for others culture. People need to understand; if they respect their culture, they should also respect others’ culture too. I have also noticed that of cultural discrimination will be affecting the overall performance of my organization. I have noticed that if the values and behaviours are discussed with the employees, this will be helping them in the case of managing the situation in the organization. By developing strict rules in the organization, if the cultural discrimination is being strictly prohibited, this will be helping in the case of developing the internal organizational culture. In order to achieve my goal, I will arrange different tour programs with my employees. Through this process, I will be able to come close to others’ culture and thought. This will also help my employees to understand me and my culture.
Hence this can be said that this is very important for the organization to accept the different culture of the employees. As we all know culture reflects persons’ emotion. Therefore, if the employee with the different culture will be neglected for his culture, this will decrease employees’ loyalty to the organization. With the decreasing rate of employee loyalty, the rate of productivity will get influenced. If one of the employees will lose his loyalty from the organization, this can influence the others who belong to the same culture. In this situation, the large number of employees can leave the company. Therefore, this is very important to maintain the cultural equality in the organization for maintaining the employee retention. I have also analysed that if I also focus on managing the entire situation, it needs to provide leaves depending on the cultural festival preferences. This will help the employees to maintain both their personal and professional life.
Organisational Operations
There is a wide array of series of operation strategies regarding the role of an administrative manager in an organisation. The reason behind choosing an operational strategy is that the strategy is beneficial f for the company to maintain flexibility, quality and dependability of an organisation in order to cope with the pressure of c competition in the market. In response to this, there are a number of determinant factors which will result success for the company. In response to this the core competencies of my organisations are
Internal relationship
The external relationship is related to the external environment a company to some extent. The components which take a great deal of influence in this context are customers, competitors and opportunities. Besides this, there are also the governments, market and environment which are also considered to be significant for the company.

Topic: Challenges to the contemporary business managers in diverse workplace
Research Question- What are the determinant factors influencing managers to maintain an effective diverse workplace environment in a business organisation?
The research encompasses a series of theory and concept regarding the role of an administrative manager in a company. For discussion the report is going to take the instance of Tank Test Laboratories Private Limited which is located in New Zealand. The company is considered to be the largest cylinder test manufacturer in the country having an approval of International Accreditation New Zealand (IANZ). For understanding the various roles of managers in maintaining a diverse workplace culture the report is going to focus on the management theory of Fayol. According to this theory there are six components in terms of planning, organising, commanding, coordination and controlling. Moreover, based on this principle, the discussion further highlights the role leaders in attaining the goals and objectives related to the company. In response to this, it has to keep in mind that the primary task of a leader is required to generate high production and performance. In addition to this, the focus of the manager is also lingered with the workforce safety and environmental sustainability of the company. Thorough investigation and continuous interaction with the employees will help the manager to understand the possible status of the workplace safety. The workplace safety and health related acts are also needed to be acknowledged by the manager. In course of thee discussion the report has mentioned the instance of Tank Test Laboratories Private Limited. It argued that the company is related to the manufacturing gas cylinder therefore there is high possibility of leakage. This threat can only be reverted by opting for a proper workplace health and safety measure. In this context, the manager is also meant to keep focus on his values and personal attitude. It is imperative for the manager of a business organisation to realise the value of his position and on the basis of that he needs to maintain a professional attitude in workplace. Personality is a very relevant factor in respect to this. According to Carl G. Jung there are four factors in terms of extraverted, sensing, feeling and perceiving responsible for shaping the personality of a corporate manager. Based on these elements it is important for the business manager to figure out his strength and weakness and the possible opportunities and threats related to this. As a matter of fact, punctuality is very significant in this regards. In fact, it requires a second opinion to measure the progress of the manager. The supervisor can be identified as guide to measure the progress. Furthermore, it can be argued the workplace diversity is a very complex issue in a business environment. For this, the manager has to build up adequate skills in order to deal with the diverse workforce culture of the company. Bilingual ability with good skill of listening can be the possible determinants of maintain good workplace diversity. In fact, the cross cultural communication is playing a pivotal part in this regards. In course of the discussion, the report is going to understand different determinants in organisation and industrial sector. It is the responsibility of the manager to figure out the different key factors of the organisation. Generally, customers, competitors and opportunities are considered to be the major forces for a company outcome. Besides this, in the industrial sector size of the business industry, market demand and growth are identified as key factors.

In addition to this, the organisational hierarchy also helps the manager to mark out the possible advantages and disadvantages of the company and also stipulates an idea of the relationship between the employees and managers. The external environment are also generated a clear vision of the business activity of the company. Therefore, the managers must have apperception about the external environment of the company because the external environment has the ability to influence the company decisions. Elements like business ethics, corporate social responsibility, socio-economic and environmental sustainability and globalisation play a significant role in this regards. Business ethics is related to the morality and values of the organisation where as CSR or corporate social responsibility puts emphasis on the social responsibility of the corporate organisation.
