The paper focuses on the development of network infrastructure within an organization. The main aim of the project is resolve the problems that the organization faces due to absence of appropriate network architecture. The assignment elaborates specific goals as well objectives of the project, requirements as well as resources that are needed for completing the entire development of the project successfully.

The goal of the organization is to develop network architecture within an organization in order to organize as well as complete various types of customer’s orders for gaining new clients as well as for retaining the existing ones.

The main objectives of the project include:

• To develop network infrastructure within an organization
• To complete the project within 12 months
• To organize as well as to complete the orders of the customers

The various requirements of the project are divided into non-functional requirement as well as functional requirement.

Functional requirements

The functional requirements of the project are as follows:

Networking hardware: The organization needs various types of networking hardware that include routers, switches, LAN cards, wireless routers, cables and many more. All this requirements are needed in order to develop the network infrastructure within the retail organization properly.

Networking Software: The network software that is needed include network operations as well as management, operating system, firewall as well as various types of network security applications for enabling appropriate network connectivity, communication, operations as well as management within the network of the organization.

Network security: Network security is required within the network infrastructure in order to protect the information as well as data from third party access. Protection of confidential data within an organization is very much important.

 Non-Functional requirements

The non-functional requirements of the project include:

 Availability: The network infrastructure that is developed must be available or can be utilized whenever required. Proper service by the network infrastructure helps in enhancing the entire business of the organization.

Maintainability: The network infrastructure that is implemented must be maintained appropriately in order to use in properly.

Serviceability: It must provide proper as well as effective service to the customers so that the issues as well as challenges that the organization is mainly facing due to the absence of infrastructure can be mitigated easily.

Performance: The performance that is provided by the network infrastructure must be of appropriate speed so that the business related activities could be performed easily within the organization.

Resource Manager	The resource managers are the person who generally helps in maintaining the work structure of the organization by updating various requirements as well as description of the job. They also helps in maintaining the staff of the organization by establishing, interviewing, conducting as well as recommending various changes.
Network Architect	The network architect is the person who is responsible in designing various types of computer networking that include intranet, extranet, LANN’s and WAN’s. They also engage in designing, testing as well as inspecting various types of communication related data within the system.
Network Engineer	The network engineer is the person who is responsible for establishing various types of networking environments by designing various types of system configuration, directing, installing, documenting as well as defining the system as well as reinforcing various types of system standards.
Project Sponsor	The project sponsor is the person who is responsible of delivering the agreed benefits of the business. It helps in providing proper business expertise as well as guidance to the project manager. They are also responsible in acting like a link between the business community as well as project for making appropriate decisions.
Quality Assurance Manager	The quality assurance manager is the person who is mainly responsible of determining, agreeing, negotiating various in-house standards, qualities as well as specifications. They also help in specifying various types of quality requirements of raw materials with the help of the suppliers.

The in-scope of the project are as follows:
