The random sampling method was used to select the participants.
The participants both tribal and non-tribal were underwent a specific yoga training programme for three days per weeks fora period of 16 weeks. The dependent variable vital capacity was tested by wet spirometer and data was recorded in millilitre (ml).
The depend t-test was applied to find out the significant of yoga training on vital capacity among tribal and non-tribal school students and independent t-test was applied to compare the effectof yoga training on vital capacity between tribal and non-tribal school students. The level of significant was set at 0.05 levels. The data were calculated by Microsoft Excel 2007.

Non-Tribal 2350 ± 112.79 2610 ± 136.17 260 5.56
The significant set at 0.05, the level of confident 95% (df 9) = 1.83
The result of table 2 indicated the tribal subject’s pre test and post test mean value of vital capacity was 2340 and 2730 respectively and p value 6.73 > 0.05 level of significant.
Non -tribal subjects pre test and post test mean value of vital capacity was 2350 and 2610 respectively and p value was 5.56 > 0.05 level of significant.
