The image taken is basically of an advertisement related to mp3 player. According to the audience reading this image, it promotes a high quality mp3 player. These are various important parts shown in the image which include the two men, one man is hearing the songs through headphones and another is at the place of the buds of the earphone. Audience may read this image in many ways. According to the audience, reading this image is showing the quality of the mp3 player which produces very high quality sound for each type of music (Columbia University, 2010). The intensity of the song for the person who is hearing it as well as the person at the place of ear buds both are proving these indications.
From the audience perspective, this image is indicating a high quality product with a high quality sound. Audience reads the image as a publicity of the mp3 player which is indicating that the product explained in the image will create a rocking or royal personality of the man and audience can also think that the product explained will be able to play each type of music very effectively. This image will attract the people by means of design from the image explaining the product. The intense look and the good personality of the man shown in the image will make the audience feel like a royal personality by having the product.
Thus, this image will read by the audience for a product which will help the people in entertaining them in terms of music as well as help in enhancing the royal personality as well as their rocking personality (Brainbridge, 2011).
There are various authorial choices shown in the image. As seen in the image, the product shown is very realistic. The rockstar man at the place of earbuds indicates a realistic quality of the product. This means that the product is of high quality which doesn’t consider the price. Thus, the high quality product can have the high price that depends on the supplier or manufacturer of the product. The mp3 player may have high price but it will not compromise with the quality of the product.
The image is also indicating the variations which also indicate about the variety of choices in the mp3 products. Company produces various types of mp3 players according to the need and requirements of the customers in the market. This also creates a variation in the prices which also means the company produces mp3 players of various prices according to the capability of the customers which varies according to the facility and quality of the product (Garzone, 2005).
In terms of design and interface as seen in the image, the design of the mp3 players produced by the company are royal. Mostly, the company also produces the funky designs for mp3 players. Thus, the customers have the variety of choices to choose from according to their budget and requirements.
The image has only brand name of the product and not the particular name of the product which indicates that the image is promoting various types of mp3 products.
The context in the image appears in a proper way which is indicating the variety of mp3 players. The context in the image is also showing the appropriateness of the mp3 players produced by the company for all types of music. The image has been in context of various purposes which, it is fulfilling very well. The image is properly describing the quality and aim of the product but making perspective on the basis of image that depends on the person itself who is viewing the image (Rockwell, 2003). If the image is taken positively, then it is very much helpful for the users to understand the product but there may be various types of misinterpretations, like, the intense look of the person with the rock music may be taken negatively, also, that the person does not like the sound quality of the mp3 player. The rock man at the place of the ear buds may be for irritating the listener. The other perspective, like the waves can be taken as the up and down of the quality of the product. This may also be interpreted by the audience that the product is available from lowest to highest price.
This can be clearly seen that the man at the place of buds is like a rockstar who is indicating the quality of the mp3 player and the man who is hearing the songs is looking very intense which is indicating the level of his amusement towards the music. The intense look of the man also indicates the quality of sad songs or intense songs. The hair style of the man is providing a dangerous look. The man with guitar is indicating rock music. The shape of wire shown is showing lots of variety in the form of music for the mp3 player (Garzone, 2005).
It can be seen clearly that the intense look of the man is also showing the sad, concentration and meditating feelings. These indicates that the mp3 player is appropriate for each type of sound and music like sad, sorrow etc. The guitar in the hand of the rockstar is indicating the jazz and rock music that can be played by the mp3 player very perfectly. The curved settled hair of the man hearing the music is showing the beat music and is also indicating the effect of feeling while hearing the music. The lowest point of the hairstyle is showing the sad feeling and the highest point is showing the enthusiastic feeling and the point at the equilibrium is showing the normal feeling of the man. The rough surface near the ear is showing the ability of playing rap music very perfectly and effectively (Columbia University, 2010).
The intense look of the man will help the people in finding the various types of personality indication by the product and the hair style of the man as well as the rockstar at the place of ear buds is indicating the rock personality (Rockwell, 2003).
Thus, the above ideology in the image is making it perfect for the purpose of the image which is very much suitable for the product.
The image shown above most probably creates a positive effect on the public sphere. This will attract the people towards the product by various means as described above. This is showing the royalty of the product as described above that will create a royal feeling about the product in public sphere. Morally, this image is also indicating the helping nature of the people (Columbia University, 2010). This is also bridging the gap between a rich and a poor person as a rich person may also need a poor man for any work or in any emergency.
The image as described above is also indicating the variation of the products produced by the company. Thus, it follows the principle of pluralism.
The image taken is properly fulfilling the objectives of the image and expectations from the texture and creating a positive image about the product in the public sphere (Brainbridge, 2011).
The next image seems to be about the fire workers. Audience reading may have different perspectives about the image. The image basically is showing the ability of the fire workers. The fire workers are fighting to extinguish the fire in case of any place which is caught with fire. The team of fire workers work together in case of any emergency. The fire workers or security services work for the people in case of any emergency without caring about their own life. They fulfil their duty of saving the people and wealth (Garzone, 2005). This is a very risky work as the fire workers need to play with their own life for saving others life. They may need to go through the heavy fire for saving people. Thus, the texture is showing that fire workers help the people in case of any emergency for saving their life and wealth.
When we talk about the authorial choices, then it can be said that the fire work authority work for free in any type of emergency. In many countries, the salary of fire workers is also very low even though they work for saving the life and wealth of people in case of any emergency. As shown in the texture, fire workers enter into any place full of high risks also which may even become the reason of the end of their life. Fire workers have the authority to enter any place or seal any risky place in case of any emergency. This can be seen from the image very well by the board shown in the texture (Brainbridge, 2011).
The context in the image is describing the purposes of the image very well. This is describing the much managed way of working of the fire workers even in the lack of resources. The managed way of working of the fire workers can be interpreted by how a man is getting saved by the fire worker while one fire worker is inside the place caught into the fire and others are below the building for saving the man (Rockwell, 2003).
The ideology behind the image is very clear. It can be clearly seen in the image that a man is thrown from the building by a fire worker and the other fire workers standing under the building are trying to save him. This image is clearly showing a well-managed way of working. This is also indicating the decision making quality present in the fire workers. When there is no way of getting out from the fire place then how can the people be saved, as, if the fire workers will take more time to decide what to do it may become very late. There are two boards also which has 25 and 15 clearly written on it (Columbia University, 2010). This is indicating that the fire workers reach at the place of emergency within 15 minutes with enough people and 25 is indicating the sealing of place by fire workers up to 25 meters from the place of fire.
This image is creating a very positive image about the fire workers among the people. This image is properly indicating that how fire workers work for the people without even taking care about their own life (Brainbridge, 2011). The texture is properly indicating about the well managed working strategy of the fire workers for saving the life as well as wealth of the people. Thus, the texture creates positive impact among the people about the fire workers and motivates them to respect fire workers.
