The client of the project is Green College and they provide the services to the rookie drivers for training in the driving. They have been in business for quite a few years and now they require the deployment of an IT solution for deploying the effective communication and data management for their clients. According to Jinno, Abe and Iizuka (2017), the deployment of the ERP or enterprise resource planning would be helpful for ensuring that the operations of the organization and deployment of the effective client’s information management for the Green College. The completion of the project would help in developing schematic information process for the Green College.
The project is developed for ensuring that the information storage system that had been used in the Green College would get effective and would be improved for forming the development of the organizational operations. The following report is developed for implying the development of the project operations.
Type of System required for the school
The required information system implementation in the Green College is for benefiting the information and database for the clients. The organization wants to develop effective communication system with the help of the data system (Ahmad and Cuenca 2013). Hence, the ERP system would be best suitable for implementing the required information processing for the Green College. The deployment of the ERP system is required for ensuring that the data processing in the organization is being done collectively and cohesively. The deployment of the ERP or enterprise resource planning would be helpful for ensuring that the operations of the organization and deployment of the effective client’s information management for the Green College. The completion of the project would help in developing schematic information processes for the Green College. As opined by Ram, Wu and Tagg (2014), there are some necessary important functions that would be required for forming the effective and important deployment of the system improved functions.
Business Case for the system proposed
The ERP system had been used in most of the organizations and it is helpful for the development of the supplementary development plan for the organizational function improvement (Nour and Mouakket 2013). The business case for the project would be implied for supporting the development of the organization and it would help in forming the assistance to the employment of the improved technology and processes. The deployment of the ERP system is required for ensuring that the data processing in the organization is being done collectively and cohesively. The deployment of the ERP or enterprise resource planning would be helpful for ensuring that the operations of the organization and deployment of the effective client’s information management for the various organizations (Powell et al. 2013). The major importance of the development factor would be assisted for the deployment of the improved processes in the organization and it would also help in considering the functional improvements for the organization.
Benefits of implementing ERP
The benefits of implementing the project ambience for the installing the ERP system in the organizational processes are developed for implementing faster processes in the organization (Gupta and Laxmi 2015). The development of the processes is being developed for implanting the faster processes for the organization. Hence it would be very helpful for the development of the project operations and processes. The ERP system would help in the following ways,
Negative impact of ERP system
The implementation of the improved ERP system would be implied for the development of the improved processes in the organization (Malik et al. 2017). However, there are some issues that would be resulted by the deployment of the ERP system such as,
Security Issue: The implementation of the ERP system would bring about the scope for formation of the improved processes (Kumar, Zadgaonkar and Shukla 2013). The development of the ERP system would use the wireless technology and Internet functions and deployment of the hacking methods.
Design Flaws: The flaws in the design of the ERP system would be resulted from the gaps in the use of designing mechanism and the IT technology (Malik et al. 2017). The design flaws would result in forming the issue of the functionality of the organization.
SDLC for ERP implementation
The propose system development methodology includes the deployment of the ERP system using SDLC method. The SDLC stands for system development life cycle and it is an appropriate method for the implementation of the software system (Kumar, Zadgaonkar and Shukla 2013). The following diagram would show the SDLC model for the implication of the ERP system for the Green College,
Explanation of each proposed steps for ERP implementation
The SDLC consists of six phases or processes that are required for the development of the software and systems (Mahalakshmi and Sundararajan 2013). The implication of the improved technology would be done in the following steps,
Investigation: The investigation is being done for analysing the initial requirements of the project/software development (Khan and Beg 2014). The investigation would analyse the basic requirements from the project and it would also enable the deployment of the ERP system. The investigation would form the analysis for the improved functions of implication model.
System Analysis: The system analysis would analyse the deployment of the improved functions and form the deployment of the improved functions for the organization (Meyer et al. 2017). The system analysis design would be implied for forming the implication of the analysis of the project operations. The analysis of the system would be done for realizing the impact of the operations.
System Design: The system design would be developed for implying the designing of the ERP system for the development of the ERP system in the organization. The designing of the system would be developed for implying the structure that would be complied for forming the appropriate design making of the system.
System Development: The development of the ERP system is formed for realizing the appropriate deployment of the improved technological development and implication of the improved operations. The development of the system development would be formed for forming the support to the ERP implication in the Green College.
System Implementation: The implementation of the system is formed for realizing the accurate deployment of the system in the Green College and adjusting the operations of the organization and ERP system. The implementation model would comprise the deployment of the system integrated operations and it would form the development of the improved functions.
System Maintenance: The system maintenance is a major prospect for implementation of the ERP system and it would help in development of the improved functions (Kayser and Tenke 2015). The deployment of the advanced deployment model for the ERP system would require the proper maintenance and fixation so that the system implemented would work properly.
Change Management Issues in ERP system
The change management is very important for the deployment of the ERP system and implication of the development for the operations (Fernie and Sparks 2014). The change management issues include the factor of implementing the development of the improved technologies and operations. The change management issues include,
Incompatibility of change implementation: The implementation plan for the changes would be developed for forming the effective employment in the organization (Al-Johani and Youssef 2013). The change implementation would not be sufficiently implied for forming the improved development methods.
Exhaustion of More Resources: The change implementation model would result in exhausting resources and unable to develop the changes sufficiently. The resources developed would not be sufficient for forming the complete change implementation.
Other Concerns of ERP implementation
The ERP implementation is a major concern for the deployment of the effective and smart deployment of management concerns (Al-Johani and Youssef 2013). The ERP implementation has to go through the major concern of the compatibility factor of the data. The data records of the organization are not sufficiently apt for forming the accurate implementation of the organizational development. The implication of the improved operations would help in forming the accurate development of the improved functions for assisting the development of the organizational processes. However, if the data storage is incompatible with the new ERP system implementation, the stored data would not be useful for forming the improved processes and operations.
Available options for system implementation approach
The system implementation approach can be done by using various system development models such as agile, waterfall, and iterative model. The deployment of the improved processes would result in forming the accurate and developed operation system (Fernie and Sparks 2014). The system implementation models of SDLC are helpful for integrating the activities of ERP system implementation. The SDLC stands for system development life cycle and it is an appropriate method for the implementation of the software system. The investigation would analyse the basic requirements from the project and it would also enable the deployment of the ERP system (Kayser and Tenke 2015). The deployment of the advanced deployment model for the ERP system would require the proper maintenance and fixation so that the system implemented would work properly.
Recommendations for Green College ERP implementation
Some recommendations for implementing ERP system in the organization had been given below,
Development of backup of data: For ERP implementation, the data records of the organization are not sufficiently apt for forming the accurate implementation of the organizational development. Hence, the backup of the data would be required for ensuring that the data records are kept intact.
Improvement of the security functions: The implementation of the ERP system would bring about the scope for formation of the improved processes. The development of the ERP system would use the wireless technology and Internet functions and deployment of the hacking methods. Hence, it is very important for ensuring the safety of the records of data.
Conclusion
The project report had been developed for ensuring that the information storage system had been used in the Green College for increasing the effectiveness and improvement of forming the development of the organizational operations. The following report had been developed for implying the development of the project operations. The issues had been sufficiently used for integrating the improvement of the operations.
The benefits of implementing ERP system are integrating the client’s information and data, developing faster operations and functions, and increasing the efficiency of data access. There are some issues for the deployment of the active ERP system and it can be modified for integrating the operations of the ERP implementation.
