This simulation supports me to create effective skills in the competitive business world. I observed that before joining the happy student bicycle team, I took the decision without considering loss and profit of activity. It could be complicated to start an organization and effectively operate the business (Ferrell and Fraedrich, 2015). I came across many challenges at the time of working in the group. But at the same time, I gained my understanding towards many skills that support to effectively work in the work and obtain a feasible result like analytical skills, teamwork, decision making, and software understanding.
I observed that the analytical skill could be significant for this game. The analytical skill could enable to accomplishment of team goal in a methodological manner. Initially, it was also complicated for me to evaluate the factors that may affect the performance of business (Romiszowski, 2016). I observed that there are two factors that could directly influence business like advertising and branding. I also gained my understanding towards the financial statement for effectively record the flow of cash in the business (Dahl, 2017). Moreover, it is also necessary for the team to invest to improve the sale of products and services. I observed that the alternative information could also be imperative for operating the business effectively. It could require extra money for maintaining the feasible information. Moreover, it is complicated for improving skills of team members in limited money. From this game, I was capable to determine my skills. I observed that self-performance evaluation could be imperative for continuous improvement. I also analyzed that once you stop to examine your own performance then you could not be cable to move forward. At the time of working in the team, I analyzed that there are certain factors that could be effective for the success of team like motivation, innovative characteristics, and creative improvement (Stine and Foster, 2017).
From this team, I improved my communication skills as it could support to make a reliable relationship with others. I worked with a different culture of people that was a good experience for me but at the same time, it was challenging for identify appropriate communication skills to converse with different cultural people effectively (Vahlne, and Johanson, 2017). In addition, it is also analyzed the communication could be imperative for making an effective decision towards the business. I assured the team member that everyone listens and respects opinion and views of each other at the time of working in the group. It supports to get a feasible result in the context of a team goal. In addition, it is also analyzed that the beet communication could support to make a reliable relationship with others. It is essential skill and in the globalized business caused by getting higher competitive benefits. It is significant to make positive attitude towards the diverse culture of people as it could be effectively for operating the business process. This skill could be imperative for making a flexible work atmosphere and obtain the feasible result (Rothman, 2017). I also learned that the capability of work in the team could be one of the significant skills for operating the business function. The following activities could be considered by me for future teamwork:
The decision making is one of the complicated subject areas of this game. Since, a team member has different opinion and views on the same concern as it could be difficult to make a collaborate decision. Thus, it is analyzed that the decision making could be major issues as compared to other concern (James, Page, and Sprague, 2016) It was very complicated for me to determine money for spending in the products and services. For making an effective decision, I talk to my group members and ask them before making last decision for the business. With respect to making a collective decision, I concentrated to improve my communication and analytical skills for making reliable decision. It is also analyzed that a financial manager of organization could provide all the information to the director of the company to operate the business effectively. It could also directly impact on the financial performance of the organization (Kalisch, et al., 2015).
It could be last skill as it could be imperative in the real world. In addition, it is analyzed understanding regarding website and video could not be imperative but it could be effective to retain the position of the company in the marketplace. In the current scenario, knowledge about a website could support to make an effective decision and obtain completive benefit (Watters, et al., 2015). Furthermore, it is also analyzed that website could be supportive for promoting the goods and services and make a unique image in the marketplace. Furthermore, I also realized that without these platforms, a business could not be capable to survive and compete. Moreover, it is also analyzed that web and videos make the organization innovative and creative. I also analyzed that a creative person could be capable to easily solve the problem by involving new ideas as it could be supportive to obtain a reliable outcome. In addition, it is analyzed creative person think differently and come with diverse ideas as it could be supportive of the business owner (Arora, et al., 2015).
In last, one of significant thing that I observed from this simulation is to learn from every one. I am thankful that I got the opportunity to work with talented classmates. It could support to gain my understanding towards many skills. For illustration, my classmates supported me how to make websites while another team member supports me to use of the software. I also shared my thoughts regarding mountain bike with classmates and another person (Endacott, et al., 2015). This advantage of knowledge from each other could be imperative. I realized that teamwork could create some time conflict but learn from each other could support to gain more understanding towards any concern and make a creative and realistic approach to problem-solving. I feel proud that the game supports me to get various skills and innovative ideas that could ensure me to make bright future (Couto, et al., 2015).
Mountain’s bike simulation gave me a creative idea of how the firm is operating in the world. Each decision of group could lead to failure and success of team hence the analytical approach was imperative to effectively operate the business and obtain a reliable outcome. I also understand that how to make an effective decision towards any particular group (Decker, et al., 2015).
A group could much hard to forecast result as compare to a single person. We compete with a different organization and their judgments are random. It was very complicated for me to make a collaborative decision. It is also observed that the price and production of mountain bikes were very expensive that also make complication in the business (Jorm, et al., 2016). It creates higher possibilities of failure in the business.
Tem work could be imperative for completing the time in the least time and cost. The primary issue that is faced by me at the time of working with a team is the different views and opinions of participants towards the same topic. It could create the argument in the team as it could also directly influence the organizational goal I and my team member play an imperative role in making a reliable decision (Semler, et al., 2015). In addition, it is also analyzed that the obtained result is based on the attitude of research outcome. I give more preference to the face to face interaction rather than messaging by online tools. Each member of the team is agreeing to the face interaction rather than a discussion on phone. I realized that some team member is not interested to work with me that create the conflict to make a collaborative decision. I gained my understanding towards how to deal with diverse thinking of people and how to influence them for working in the same group. I enhanced my knowledge about different cultural people that support me to make an effective decision in the context of diverse cultures of people. I was very complicated for me to honestly deal with consumers (Frich, et al., 2015).
The first decision that was taken by me was simple. In this, concentrate on customer’s satisfaction level.
From the above table, it can be concluded that the customer satisfaction level of happy student is lower as compared to other group. Hence, group has needed to focus on how to satisfy the customer satisfaction level. The lower customer satisfaction level could be caused of higher price, quality, negative comment on social media, and competitors prices.
The second decision that was taken by me was related to the innovation and learning. It was also imperative for this simulation.
From the above analysis, it can also be analyzed that the innovative learning could also impact on the organizational performance. In addition, it is also demonstrated that innovation is lower as compared to another group that could decline the sales of the company. Hence, the company would need to invest in the innovation to obtain higher competitive benefits. It could also be supportive of making a unique image in the marketplace.
The third decision could concentrate on the market share as it could support to make a reliable decision in the context of the organization.
From the above table, it can be concluded that the market share of this organization is 7.30% that is less than other group. In addition, it is also analysed that organization is needed to improve the market share of company by encasing the demand of organization.
The fourth decision that was taken by me was associated with the sales. n the basis of above table, it can be illustrated that the sales of happy students group is 11,842 that is lower as compared to the Pedal works, Himalayan carpet, and strong bonding group. Hence, Group should need to investment in the advertising to enhance the awareness of products and services as it would directly influence the sales of goods and services.
Conclusion
It can be summarized that I was not capable to easily make relation with others before this course. But, now I am capable to make robust relation with others caused of having many skills. From this simulation, I improved many skills like conflict issue, teamwork, communication, cultural issue, and decision making. It could support me to improve my skills at least time and cost. In this, I observed many factors that could be needed to focus like market growth, advertising, innovation, customer satisfaction, and price. I observed that team should invest more in advertising as it would support to enhance the brand awareness among the huge amount of consumers at least prices. Consequently, the organization would be capable to make the unique image the consumer’s mind. The unique image of mountain bike could support to enhance the satisfaction level of consumers and retain consumers for long-term. It is also analyzed that organization should also invest in the innovation sector in the products and services for gaining demand of market share in limited time and cost. The higher investment could support me to obtain higher market share and competitive benefits. In addition, it is analyzed that I suggested to my team member that we need to improve our skills to make a collaborative decision and get a positive outcome. I also gained my understanding towards many skills that support to directly deal with consumers and enhance higher consumer satisfaction level.
