Our whole lives we are followed by the constant saying:’Study and work hard in school to have a better life later. Some of us are motivated by this sentence others are simply proof that we`re too lazy to do such. We go to school for maybe 12+ years to only work for the rest of our lives and provide income for our future family. So how would we feel if this ‘work’ we are going to do for the rest of our lives isn`t something we loved growing up or something we have always wanted?
Firstly, there are factors that impact this lifetime decision, for instance: family preferences, talent, own preferences, and also abilities a person has.
Before deciding it would be good if one would take into consideration all these points, but some of us have already made up our mind without even asking our parents or considering other options for which we might have talent.
I, personally, have decided to follow the med school, because I have this love for science and the wonders of the human body and it is what seemed right for me.
However, my parents don`t agree, they think it takes too long and such a profession would consume me both physically and mentally because it is very stressful. They also came up with the suggestion that I should study computer sciences. And don`t get me wrong I like computers and stuff, but I simply don` want to deal with such my whole life as my job.
As an adult, your job should be something you look forward to doing for the rest of the day, something you love to deal with and most of all must be something you love waking in the morning for.
That is why I do believe that in order to be happy, you must love your job. If you follow a path that someone else assigned to you, you will live your life with regret and hopes that the time machine would be invented for you to take a different decision at 18 years old.
The years of middle school and high school to some of us are torture because we are forced to study subjects in which we are not good at and we look forward to the time we get to go to college and finally deal with only stuff we love. I think that neither of us should be forced to study something we do not want to because after all it is going to be their life and what worse feeling is there than even when you are an adult you are not doing what you love and it is already too late to give up on a whole future you have built based on someone else`s aspirations for you. So in order to be happy, find what makes you happy and do everything in your power to have that thing as your future!
