The regional differences and conflicts between the countries largely influence the global trade activities. The aim of the research is to analyze the impact of regional differences on the overall business strategies of multinational companies in their global endeavor. To deal with the regional differences and the conflicts, the multinational companies follow certain business strategies that help in reducing the impact of regional differences and conflicts in their business. Therefore, it can be said that the business strategies of many multinational companies are influenced by the regional differences and conflicts. The research aims at evaluating the impact of regional differences on the business strategies of global and multinational Companies. The objectives of the research are as follows-
To provide a review on how regional differences between countries influences business strategies of global and multinational companies
To identify the challenges faced by the global and multinational companies due to regional differences and conflicts between countries
To recommend some business strategies so that the negative influence of the regional differences and conflict among the countries on global and multinational business can be minimized.
The research study has been undertaken in order to access the influence and the impact of regional conflicts between the countries in overall business strategies of a multinational organization. The customers’ satisfaction is a key to successful project and therefore it is necessary to design a business strategy in such a way that the customers remain satisfied with the services provided by the organization. This research study will review the previously published literature based on this topic along with a primary data analysis of the collected data. In order to collect the primary data, a sample size has been proposed. A qualitative analysis of the data will be performed in order to understand the influence of regional differences in the business strategies of global and multinational organization.
In this section, the findings of the previously published journals and literature will be analyzed in order to understand the impact or influence of the regional and cultural differences of among the countries on the business strategies of global and multinational companies. The rising conflicts between the neighboring countries often have a direct impact on the trade activities of a multinational organization (DaSilva and Trkman 2014). The literature review has been undertaken to analyze the extent to which the business strategies are influenced by the regional differences and conflicts.
The converging needs and increase in the customer reach provides an opportunity for the globalization in the markets and had considerably stimulated the global business of the multinational organizations (Shenkar, Luo and Chi 2014). To enhance the business processes the organizations need to design the business strategies in such ways that cultural barriers are overcome (Peng 2016).The revolution of technology has considerably helped in bridging the gaps among the nations and continents thus making it possible to operate the business in a global platform.
There are a number of factors that influences the cross-border cooperation between businesses. Cross border cooperation is one of the important factors for ensuring successful business operations (Blackburn, Hart and Wainwright 2013). However, this cross bordercooperation is subjected to a number of impact factors, one of which being the regional differences and conflicts. Any regional differences between the countries have a negative impact on the trade activities of the global and multinational companies (Terjesen, Hessels and Li 2016). The regional differences among the countries or cultural differences are inevitable in global business. The competitiveness of business environment in which a company operates is particularly important in development of its entire economy (Luthans and Doh 2018). The cross bordercooperation is mainly important for the development or competitiveness of entire economy. The business strategies among the different business organization that operates globally are designed in such a manner so that the effect of the cultural and regional conflict can be minimized (Czinkota and Ronkainen 2013). The business strategies are generally designed in accordance to the needs of the customers. It becomes very difficult to maintain the competitive advantage in the business if the customers are not satisfied (Verbeke 2013).Regional differences, conflicts motivated by the social and the environmental risks have a large impact on the corporate activities of the global business organization (Frankset al. 2014). The social conflicts add to the reason of the why modification in the business strategies are often needed for global business organization.
Furthermore, the conflict among the countries often impacts the economic development of a country thus affecting the business associations of the country as well (Moran, Abramson and Moran 2014). The business strategies of the global and multinational companies therefore are strongly impacted by the regional differences and conflicts.
The research study will further evaluate the extent to which the business strategies of the global and multinational companies are impacted by the regional differences and conflicts.
This section of the research paper will outline the research strategy and the research methodology that will be undertaken by analyzing the research problem that is identified for this research topic.
In this research, positivism philosophy will be followed as it combines scientific data with the human perspective data which will be a great help for fulfilling the objectives of this research project. In this research, a primary research methodology will be followed and the data obtained from the collected data will be analyzed. A primary research methodology is chosen for this project since the data about the influence of regional conflicts on the business can be easily obtained from the business managers. The collected data will undergo both qualitative and quantitative data analysis of the collected data.
A deductive research approach will be followed for this research project. The deductive research approach works well for the research studies where a hypothesis has already been set up and the primary objective of the research has been well identified. Therefore, the deductive research approach will be followed in this project.
As stated earlier, the research study will be following a primary data collection methodology. The primary data is gathered with the help of several approaches that include interviews, observation and by conducting surveys. In this research study, online survey will be conducted stratified sampling and predetermined determined sample size in order to collect the primary data that will be required for the research study.
The sample size is for survey is pre determined as permission from the individuals is to be taken along with their consent for participating in the survey. The sample size that is selected for this research study includes 50 business managers or business personnel who have an idea of the different business strategies. Taking the consent of the people who will be participating in the survey is one of the significant ethical considerations of this research study (Crane and Matten 2016).
The following section provides an overview of the project schedule and the timeline that will be followed during the research study.
Qualitative data analysis will be done on the collected data. The findings can be provided only after the final research.
This section of the proposal gives an idea of the time schedule of the entire research project that has been undertaken. The schedule has been prepared keeping in mind the submission date of the final dissertation. Adhering to the proposed date will help in submission of the final dissertation within the proposed time frame. The following section provides an idea of the schedule along with the Gantt chart and work breakdown structure of the proposed time frame of this particular research study.
