This report is based on a car manufacturer “DC Motors Inc” which is also automobile importer situated in Australia. In this paper, the discussions are carried out to present the existing model for business process within the company. The time management plan has been developed for presenting the plan that will be followed to complete this study on the organization. The discussion on fact finding approaches reflect the processes that can be used to determine the requirements in context to the chosen company. A process model is designed to depict the existing business process followed by the organization and a report has been prepared for presenting current situation of the company to the top management.
The company that has been chosen for this study is a car manufacturer as well as an automobile importer named “DC Motors Inc” that is based in Australia established in 1956. It offers various services in which majority consists of selling cars and providing maintenance services. The company is not a renowned or a multinational company however it has many competitors within Australia. The organization also provides the customers with remarkable products at affordable price so that the customers get attracted towards their business. The company also holds various showrooms all over Australia where the customers can visit and purchase car as per their choice or requirement. The organization has a large customer base due to which they are presently facing issues with their business process. The business process that has been taken into account for this particular study is car selling process in their showrooms.

Fact finding is considered as an essential method to determine the issues or problems that are existing within the organization so that improvements can be made to fulfill the desired requirements. The approaches that can be used for improving the processes within the organization are interviews, questionnaires, review of documents along with observation and research. Hence, the description of various fact finding approaches for improving the organizational processes are presented as below:
Interviews: The interviews with experienced professionals or experts in their field of working can be conducted to determine the gaps in processes being carried out by the organization. In this method, there is a requirement to analyze the records being stored about the problems faced by customers. This approach also helps to clearly define the understanding between an organization and a customer.
Questionnaires: This approach is an essential element while determining the requirements of an organization or a customer. The survey questionnaires mainly acts as feedback form for the customers as well as employees associated with an organization. The data collected from the questionnaires can be analyzed to identify the desired requirements of a customer or the organization.
Review of documentation: This approach involves reviewing the records being stored on behalf of the sales, products, features, quality and more. It may also comprise of following various published articles on review about products.
Observation: This method involves observing a particular product or process that has to be improved. It is essential for making improvements in the business performance of the organization.
Research: This method is another aspect of fact finding that comprises of collecting data from previous studies being conducted on the product or process.
The focus of this project is on conducting a study about an organization which is car manufacturer and to find a suitable information system. The aim is to determine the issues or problems that are existing within the business process of the organization to improve their business performance. This report is intended to illustrate upon the existing process of the organization to present the issues faced by the customer while purchasing a car from showrooms of the company.
Fact finding is considered as an essential method to determine the issues or problems that are existing within the organization so that improvements can be made to fulfill the desired requirements. The approaches that can be used for improving the processes within the organization are interviews, questionnaires, review of documents along with observation and research. The problems or issues have been determined with the help of some fact finding approaches such as interviews, questionnaires and document review. A model has been designed to illustrate the present business process of the organization when a customer visits the showroom for booking a car.
This report will help in reducing the changes to cost and make improvements in the results of change being implemented in the organization. It will also help in figuring out the fast changes that may occur within the organization. The organization must have to implement certain procedures for managing the changes to maintain competitive market. The organization have to follow specific methods to implement changes for improving the business process.
Every people associated with the organization is assigned with specific duties and responsibilities. The execution of assigned roles and responsibilities help the organization to excel in a better way. The employees of the organization are related to each other and they help to lead others towards achieving the project goals.
The organization must ensure to maintain good relationship with the customers for expanding their business. The existing customer will recommend new customers about the product being delivered if they get a standard product from the organization.
Conclusion
In this report, the discussions are based on an Australian car manufacturer “DC Motors Inc” where a particular problem has been identified in context to the process of selling a car to customer from showrooms. From analysis of the chosen company, it can be concluded that there is a requirement to improve their business process for increasing profitability or expanding their customer base. In the process model being designed for the existing business process of the company it has been determined that the process is complex and time consuming. The complexity is because of the fact that no sequential process flow is being maintained to complete the process of selling car from showroom. It has been recommended to the top management of the company that an information management system may help the organization to improve their business process. Hence, from the study it is determined that implementation of an information system is essential to the organization for improving their business performance.
