What I’d like to do this morning is to present my poster on one type of intelligence that the Gardner added and discussed which is interpersonal intelligence. There are three main parts of my poster. To begin with defining the term, following that discussing kinds of jobs that need interpersonal intelligence, after that

First, Let’s start by defining what interpersonal intelligence is it? Simply, refers to someone’s ability to communicate effectively with others using both verbal communication which means by talking to people, and nonverbal communication through our body language and facial expressions.

For a long time, the word “intelligent” was only used to describe people who achieve high academic scores and who are more knowledgeable. Until Gardner came and introduced his theory of multiple intelligences where he proposed 9 different types of intelligence. Nowadays, we understand that intelligence is very diverse.

So, let’s move on to the next point. what kinds of job need interpersonal intelligence? Well, some examples of professions-jobs where this kind of intelligence is important are counselors, politicians or social workers.

Why do these jobs need it? Well if we take one of the examples, in case of counselors, they need interpersonal intelligence because they should have a deep interest in helping people and patiently listen to others.

Now, let’s move on to the third point and try to understand more about what strengths interpersonal intelligence people have that helps them better communicate and build relationships easily.

The secret is that people with interpersonal intelligence make other people feel comfortable around them, they empathize and understand other feelings, they are also good at reading others body language like their facial expression and voice tone. In addition, they know how to act and react appropriately to people around them, which helps them build connections with people around them easily.

In summary, the characteristics of interpersonal intelligence People are:

1. Create positive relationship with others.
2. Enjoys social events
3. Empathetic
4. Good at communicating

To sum up, do you think you’re capable of having an interpersonal intelligence skill? even if you don’t think you’re an interpersonal intelligent person you can still develop and work on it like any other interpersonal intelligent person can.

In general, having interpersonal intelligence will help you become a better friend. Someone who other people can trust with their problems and their issues.
