Various segments are created under this type of organizational structure. OXFAM is operating the business under divisional structure. As the firm has been working in various regions this structure will be best option. As it is a multidivisional structure and in case failure of any of the decision of one department won’t have any effects on the other (Crane & Matten, 2016).
The operations are diversified to a wider range and hence the functional structure will be proven beneficial for WIRES (Clegg, Kornberger & Pitsis, 2015). As this structure will organize the activities of business around specific areas of specialization and also a consideration amount of process standardization within a business is done.
The name ‘Oxfam’ has been derived from the Oxford Committee for Famine Relief, which was founded in Britain in the year 1942 (Burke, 2017). Furthermore the entity will have to set-up collaboration with the other non-profit and profit organizations, for instance, after tying up with the super market stores, a pass which is barcoded is offered to the non-profit organization friends and donators.
