In the modern era, continuous learning has become very important for the growth and success of an individual (Castañeda, Cosgrave, Marin & Cronin, 2016). It can be stated that learning experience is effective and useful because it helps a scholar to enhance his/her skills and knowledge. However, it can be critically argued that an individual is required to get fully engaged with the process in order to get the best possible outcome (Fullan, 2014). Leaning experience can be useful if a person applies that experience into real life situations. I have selected to carry out research on the accounting issues which has been faced by the hospitality businesses operating in USA. The entire research has assisted me in getting a valuable learning experience.
Furthermore, learning experience has also provided me with a potential opportunity to apply the theories and concept into practicality. Learning experience provides competitive advantage in getting employment opportunities (Casquero, Ovelar, Romo, Benito & Alberdi, 2016). For me, this experience can be termed as valuable because it has supported me in developing a deep understanding of the accounting procedure which has been followed by business operating in tourism industry. Along with this, the experience has also rendered me with the practical knowledge about how productivity of businesses in tourism industry is affected by the accounting procedure used.
The course was well structured and has helped me in developing my academic skills. Furthermore, it has also supported me in expanding my knowledge linked with my professional specialization. The program has made me realize that sound financial plans and there implementation is very essential for long term success of a business. It can be stated that this leaning experience will support me in getting jobs in companies operating in the tourism sector. This program has provided me with knowledge about the key accounting challenges which can be faced by companies and the effective ways which can be used to deal with those challenges.
In general life this experience will help me to manage my finances and boost up my carrier. I am also looking forward to apply the knowledge in the future. This can be done by working with companies and carrying out practical implementation of the things which I have learned during the program. In future I can make use of accounting skills even for carrying out my day to day task and activities in appropriate manner. An individual can take smart and innovative financial decisions with the help of accounting skills (Engeström, 2014).
The process of learning started with selection of topic for investigation. In order to carry out a study or learning, a person is required to choose a particular area or topic of interest (Humanante-Ramos, García-Peñalvo & Conde-González, 2015). As I am from financial background, I was more interested in selecting area of study linked with finance. In order to complete my research, I have used wide range of sources such as books, journals and online articles. This has supported me in getting insight into. Researching over internet was a bit challenging task for me and it has helped me in improving my overall researching skills. During the learning realized that it is very important for a company to align its aim and objectives with the interest of shareholders.
Learning experience directly supports in promotion of further learning and enhances knowledge level (Hartman, DesJardins, MacDonald & Hartman, 2014). On the other side of this, I have used both primary and secondary sources of data collection. This resulted in collection of more accurate and reliable data for the study. Here, I have also selected some videos related to the different systematic approach which are used in accounting and their potential impact on overall performance of a business enterprise. Thus, it can be said that during the process of learning I have gained more practical knowledge about the need effective accounting system and how it can be implemented for success of a business.
At the time of conducting Business research various observations were made by me. Firstly my main motive was to conduct research in the area of accounting practices being adopted by the tourism industry of USA. Evaluation of learning takes place with the help of knowledge gained and applying the same in practical situations (Saadatmand & Kumpulainen, 2013). The key observations made involves understanding the real accounting processes within tourism industry, impact of such practices on the entire industry, challenging factors associated with accounting etc. These observations supported me in enhancing my knowledge level in the area of accounting. Further, the business research was useful for my research learning process as through this I gained proper knowledge in the area of accounting and from the point view of tourism industry.
In short, I gained knowledge in relation with IFRS, range of accounting issues being faced by the hospitality companies etc. Moreover, this kind of business research has supported me in understanding how accounting as one of the concept has allowed entire industry to operate efficiently. Proper learning has been obtained by gathering data from large number of sources which were quite beneficial and has enhanced by confidence level also to undertake different type of financial studies in near future. So, in this way the business research undertaken was beneficial for me in every possible manner.
Learning can be defined as the process in which different type of tools, techniques and styles are being undertaken to enhance knowledge and expertise level (Rahimi, Berg & Veen, 2015). The entire process of learning undertaken was quite effective where I gained knowledge in the field of accounting. Prior undertaking this type of project I had no knowledge in this field but the overall learning took place in proper manner. I gained proper knowledge in the field of accounting along with the key concepts which are being followed by the tourism industry and how it has influenced their performance. My confidence level has enhanced by undertaking this type of business research which I have not undertaken in past. Moreover, for effective learning I collected data from the sources available with me and they supported me in gaining new type of knowledge which I had no knowledge till now.
Finance as one of the field provides great exposure and it leads to development of skills in this particular area (Reynolds, 2017). Apart from this, I have little knowledge in the field of finance till yet so this also proved to be beneficial in every possible manner. I analyzed the accounting practices of different financial companies operating in the market of USA along with the key challenges faced in the field of accounting. Moreover, how the accounting issues can be tackled by companies for their overall development. So, with the help of this it can be stated that learning process undertaken was quite effective.
Every individual is required to develop an effective plan which can be implemented to get the best possible or desired results (Kolb, 2014). Applicability of learning with implementation of plan is necessary as it ignorance leads to no use of the knowledge being obtained (Dabbagh & Kitsantas, 2012). The learning acquired by undertaking the business research will be applied in different areas for my overall development. Further, my main motive is to get good job in the field of finance and this is only possible when I have good knowledge of accounts. So, through this research I have enhanced by knowledge level and I can surely apply for different type of jobs associated with the field of finance. Moreover, I will surely apply learning through proper implementation where I will implements concepts of accounting on the areas available. Apart from this, the learning obtained will also support me to carry out research in near future where I can easily undertake different projects related with finance and accounting in near future.
In short, this learning has played major role in my personal development and has enhanced my knowledge level in every possible manner. In case, if I undergo other type of courses linked with finance in near future then in such case the present learning obtained will be highly beneficial and I can easily undertake the project in proper manner. Therefore, the present learning obtained will support in my future profession, course and in other significant areas.
