A mission statement caters the structure around which strategies of an organization’s are devised. (Jones, 2008, page 11) My life is all about challenges this makes me prepared to confront any challenge heading on. I aspire to champion in the field I select and to gain recognition among others. I seek to earn good money everyday and excel in my profession. If given a chance to work with diverse set of people I’d be able to exert positive synergy and would come across different behaviors of others, this will play a vital role in achieving my mission.
I am a hardworking person, possessing a creative mind that not only helps me in generating new ideas but also guides me to solve certain conflicts and take effective and timely decision. I’ve always been concerned in being a brand manager of a successful brand, my core values, abilities and traits perfectly ask for a career like this. I believe with little hard work I can be the most successful brand manager with my brand name listed amongst the other top brands of the companies like Apple, Microsoft, Target, Nike, Wal-Mart etc and that’s what I discover to be my mission.
Maintaining the brand’s peek position at which it is already there or making a failed brand, number one is no less than a challenge in the corporate world that gives you a tough competition already. Similarly making a brand internationally recognized is another difficult task. All these challenges and tasks will take me to the position I’ve always desired for.
SWOT Analysis Strengths: I possess an outstanding academic back ground with good GPA which is one of the strongest points that would help me in flourishing my chosen career.
I have tried to grasp every opportunity I got to gain work experience in renowned organizations as internee which gives extra points not only in my academic career but in the future careers as well. I possess fine interpersonal and intrapersonal skills and personal characteristics like strong job ethics, optimism etc; this would also be counted in comprising a fruitful future career. Important corporate contacts, with the professional organizations are some other strong points I own which I believe will help me become a future leader. I’m an effectual observer; this would construct me to figure out constant changes in the market.
Weaknesses: In spite trying to grasp ever opportunity of getting into organizations and experiencing their corporate environment as an internee, in my opinion is not enough. I believe my exposure has still been limited and that there’s a bigger world I need to explore to come up to the high standards of the corporate personnel I aspire. I feel at times I do tend to get agitated with too much work load and pressure. I took a year off after my bachelors and then completed my graduation, the gap created between is another weak point I have. At times I get too emotional with certain things.
Opportunities: The courses I’ve majored in and the field I’m interested in is nowadays in huge demand and I believe to fit in it. The skills I posses and extra knowledge I have gives me an opportunity to pave my way for a successful career. The career path I’ve chosen provides me unique opportunities to enhance my knowledge. We all are surrounded by top brands, studying them in detail and getting to know more about them is going to be the shinning star in my career, my geographic position amplifies my opportunities where I can interact with other experienced people and learn from their experiences.
The field I’ve chosen is vast and has number of positive trends that will help creating further jobs for me. Threats: Downsizing and other negative trends do create a big threat for any work employee. Prominently tough competition has always been a threat. There are number of people who’d have gone to good and reputable institutions and have vast knowledge than I have. Such competitors are another big threat in my future career. People with better job hunting skills with fast pace are able to get valuable and better jobs leaving behind less effective jobs for others.
This is another threat posing towards those who are slightly weak or inexperienced. Short term strategies: My short term strategies to achieve my mission include getting free from the personal barrier that is to cut down the negative traits in me such as laziness. I plan not to rush into quick decisions and give a detailed look over every field I will come across and then will chose the best out of various not only this but I also will give a deep study to the market and will also examine my market value. I look up to gain essential knowledge and education required for achieving my mission.
Moreover I’ll be taking active steps with certain changes which could take place in the near future. I could get some important information regarding my mission from my competitors. Certain changing trends are also to be analyzed. Long term strategies: Most importantly I plan to look into the basic core values that are respected throughout. I’ll enhance my communication skills both written and verbal and also make my thinking more critical. I plan to prepare for the expected changes that could occur in attaining my mission.
Critical analysis is planned annually to keep myself updated about the current scenario and changes. Any improvement needed or additional knowledge necessitated will be gained. Timely market analysis will be done in order to observe technological changes and improvements made in order to keep myself paced up with new innovations. Marketing Strategies: Like a challenger I want to seep into the market full of challenges and face them head on and prove them that I possess leadership qualities. Besides that I struggle to fulfill the needs of market requirements.
I look forward to be the leader of the leaders, for which I can exploit my capabilities and talents to any extent I want to perform my duties vigilantly in a way that I can prove that I am able to perform my assigned tasks better than people in the same position as me.
