Since its inception on 1957 the merger and acquisitions that were undertaken by the business has helped in the wide growth of the business while operating in around 54 nations (Myung, McClaren  and Li 2012). The industry represents the physical manifestation of the businesses as the hotels and the related buildings occupy the most prominent part of the cities contributing to the economy of the tourist spots leading to improvements in the national GDP.

The purpose of undertaking the report is to identify the micro and macro environmental situations that are faced by the organization, which influenced its decision making and other processes.
