i. Management of the Schedule
For the management of the schedule for the project, the estimated schedule is being developed using the scheduling software and the Gantt chart. In this schedule, all the activities of the project have been broken down into deliverables, sub-deliverables and work packages. These work packages are to be performed and completed within the allocated time frame mentioned in the Gantt chart.
j. Other Information Related to Time Management
In addition to the project scheduling, a change control document is to be developed. During execution of the project, there may occur some unforeseen incident that delays a particular work package. As a result, the entire schedule for the remaining part of the project will have to be changed. These changes will be documented in the change control document.
Regarding the enterprise environment, the external environment may significantly affect the progress and cost benefit of the project. The external environment includes market factor, inflation, rise of competitors, cheaper alternatives and others. These factors will also have significant effect on the overall timeline of the project.
