Success is being the major reason to hard work in the particular field. Everyone get opportunity to get succeed in life but these opportunities are not an equal for everyone. In this task, I shall mainly be talking about the how opportunity can enhance or reduce the children, youth and family’s success. It is vital to know about how to succeed in life because according to me it is not necessary that everyone get equal path for success (Satz, 2007). To make my task valid, I will take the help of quotes from books and will describe. It is said by Jim Rohn that “Learn how to be happy with what you have while you pursue all that you want.” It is the main concern of that everyone wants perfect and successful life like others and no one is happy what he have (Entrepreneur, 2016).
It is not necessary that same advantages and opportunities are given to everyone to start the life. There are believe of so many people that behind the struggle and unable to amend the situations, it is don due to not try hard enough (Alesina and La Ferrara, 2005). That is why I will pose the question in this task here: how much control does a person have over the conditions of their life and does everyone have the same opportunities to get succeed in their life?
There are two friends who born in different place and living their life in different way of style due to circumstances of the family. Mark is the only son of Kelvin and Kelvin is the billionaire through his work in manufacturing of toys. Multibillion dollar company has owned by Kelvin and Mark is the responsible person after his father. Kelvin said to his son, “you are the owner of the company and you have to handle the entire situation of the company.”On the other hand, Josh lives in the remote village and the family of the Josh is the poorest family in the village due to accident of josh’s father and lost his leg in an accident. Josh worked in small firm to earn since childhood while Mark has a prime opportunity to get succeed because he has prepared and successful company to take over and the study of him is done from well known school. While, Josh has almost zero opportunity to get succeed. However, there can be chance for Josh to get succeed but it would be like miracle despite the fact that Mark has great opportunity to get succeed.
It is the degree of some personal opinion that everyone gets an equal opportunity to get succeed in life. I would argue very strongly that we do not have similar opportunity to get succeed in life. It can be true that everyone has same legal chance or opportunity, but not have a similar opportunity in real life. It is cleared that all people from different races and income are equal in the view of the law. I would disagree with the statement that everyone gets equal opportunity in majorly two ways. First, poor families have to face lot of barriers in their life to get success. In the United States, the similar income’s people are tending to live together and hugely invested by local property taxes (Clark, 2015). It shows that the schools in rich town are well furnished and trained in comparison of poor towns. It reflects that the rich people get more education and training of living life in better way in comparison of poorer people. Moreover, the environment of poor child is harder to get succeed in equal to richer people get (Conley, 2008). For instance, a latest study reflected that the children of poorer and illiterate background have more than 20 million fewer words spoken in direct way to them in the initial stage of their four years than children of professional parent do. This brings the most disadvantageous situation for them to entre in the school. I would against the topic because these factors reflect that poorer children do not have an equal opportunity to get succeed. Second, it is not necessary that every individuals get equal chance to being success. There are various people that born with different kinds of interest and aptitudes. For instance, an individual who born in musician’s family, can get succeed in this field whether his interest in another field it would be difficult for his family to move in the musicians industry (Ross, 2009). Therefore, it could be said that people of all economic and ethnic groups have the similar chance to succeed.
In the favour of this topic statement, it can be said that opportunity can be grabbed by anyone and it wants only hard work and preparation, it is the part of the success and knocks door at once, who are ready to grab the opportunity whether he is rich or poor, will get certainly success. There are numerous examples of people who belong from poorer family but get success high in comparison of rich family (Shore,et. al., 2011). However, it is right that if a child is born in poorer and criminal family, they do not have the similar opportunity at success as a child born, loving and healthy family. But it is all about the view point to look out the scenarios. According to me it is necessary for the government, society and family to enhance the learning of the student and spread the positivity all around so that one can get motivation to go ahead. For instance, Jesse Owens, Charlie Chaplin, APJ Abdul Kalam and many more that belong from poorer family and had to suffer from very difficulty life but they never stopped and moved ahead and fought from their adverse situations, and became the well known personality for the entire worlds.
Various theories and strategies can be used to improve the life of the children’s, youth and family. We are living in the rich diversity environment where the attitudes, interest and way of thinking of people are different from others. It is crucial for them to provide good education for making them a good person in their life (Muzio and Tomlinson, 2012). However, it is right that everyone do not have same opportunity to get succeed but if someone has known about how to attain success and grab opportunity, he will surely attain the success.
I do not belief that everyone has an equal opportunity to get succeed in life because everyone has their own interest, beliefs and assumptions towards their life. I agree that there are number of examples of successful personality who belonged from poorer family and suffered from adverse situation. As per my opinion it is all about chance, interest and background environment. Motivation comes from surroundings and if surrounding of people is not supportive, they will never get success. As taking example of fairy tale, it has been cleared that there are two friends but due to family background and way of loving style, the life of both are different, one has become successful because he has quite positive and wealthy surrounding while other has responsibility to handle the condition of the family since childhood. It reflects that the condition of the family matters in the growth of the children. Power, inclusion and diversity are major component in the life of the children, young and family to become success in life (Cline, T. and Frederickson, 2009).
My viewpoint is simple: we should help those less fortunate, if we are capable enough to bring someone in the point of attaining success. If we truly want that there should be equal opportunity to get success in life, then it is require expanding the helping hand to those who require it. It is not compulsory that we can support them only by providing the financial support. Apart from financial support, there are other integral aspects such as love, care, mentoring, respect and guidance to increase the efforts of someone in the way of achieving success. According to me these aspects can be given by anyone and we all can perform in better manner by giving opportunity to them who really require support. As per my thought, it is not about being democrat, Muslims, Chritisians or republican, this is simply about being human. It is essential to people who are born in wealth family to lend the helping hand for them who need help. It will be helpful for use to learn lessons from the power others attained from tough situation through challenges they faced. It may decrease the violent crime and build the effective as well as safer environment for future generations to grow up in (Chavez and Weisinger, 2008).
Conclusion
In the limelight of above discussion, it has been concluded that opportunity knocks door at once, it depends on the person that how is he or she able to grab the opportunity. The topic is discussed in the tasks in “for” and “against” both way which provided better understanding about the topic with real life examples. Everyone get opportunity to get succeed in life but these opportunities are not an equal for everyone. It has been analyzed that everyone has various opinions and views and they are free to express their views. If we travel around the world, we have to realize that other countries do not have similar opportunities to those the United States in term to freedom of an individual and living standards. In china and India, it can be seen that children are begging food and pennies on the street. If we truly want that there should be equal opportunity to get success in life, then it is require expanding the helping hand to those who requires it.
