The report argues on the case study Clearabee on its way to nationwide roll-out. The study quotes that Clearabee is the organisation which initiated on September 2012 by Daniel Long and Rob Linton. It hired 5 people in Scotland who started operating the rubbish removal trucks. This service covered almost area of UK and there household contributed around 90% of the waste removal. Clearabee is now going to establish the chain of waste removal and recycle in Northern Ireland and to enhance the business into Republic of Ireland.
Reports involve the selection of organisational structure to be followed by Clearabee. Modern management techniques are studied and best strategy is selected which shall fulfil the requirement in every possible situation. At the end organisational growth and expansion could be monitored and methods for development are selected by analysing through strategic framework.
From the entire report functionality, maintenance and progress can be understood by the way of adopting divergent strategies and management approach beneficial for managers, employees and organisation as a whole.
Organisational structure is the framework which enables the appropriate and systematic carry of work. It is a set structure which defines the roles, responsibility and authority of the staff. Organisational structure helps in clarifying the accountability of the employees. It is the hierarchy that need to be followed for establishing efficient and effective working (Community tool box, 2017). There are various type of organisational structure which suits as per the nature and size of the business. These structures are: line and staff, functional, divisional, project and matrix organisational structure (Chand, 2016).
Clearabee being a growing and developing at international level should select the matrix organisational structure which clarifies each line and instruction vertically and horizontally making the working much easier for managers and workers enabling in quick decision making and healthy competitive environment in the organisation.
In the traditional times managers use to reward their workers financially but in the modern approach the scope widens up. Finance is not the only thing that matters, non-financial activities worth more in today’s time. Other than incentives employees now demand for appreciation, post increment, better prospects any more techniques like this. The various modern management approaches that can be adopted are: Behavioural approach, Abraham Maslow, Douglas McGregor, Quantitative approach, Operations research, Operations management, Management information system, contingency approach and system approach. Concerning about Clearabee the most suitable management approach is system approach (Chand, 2016).
System is a complete operating structure comprising of various functions, divisions and sub-division. There are numerous levels included while constructing the system plan to achieve the objective in effective and efficient manner. The four measures considered while adopting a system are: input, processing, output and feedback.
Strategic framework is used to manage the organisational procedure and plan for concluding the activities. There are varieties of framework and one best alternative or strategy is selected to implement it in the organisation. The different strategic management frameworks are: McKinsey’s strategic horizons, value disciplines, stakeholder model, balanced scorecard, Ansoff’s matrix, SWOT Analysis and Porter’s competitive strategy (Wright, 2016).
The Ansoff’s matrix is divided in the four portions: market penetration, market development, product development and diversification (Hussain, Khattak, Rizwan et.al. 2013).
SWOT Analysis helps in identifying the one self. The organisation could judge itself using the SWOT Analysis of the organisation and even learn about the competitors through their strength, weakness, opportunity and threat. SWOT depicts about the strength and weakness of the organisation and take measures to convert weakness into opportunity and then to strength. Threats are those acts from which the organisation fears of, they are the things which would adversely affect the organisation (Rouse, 2017). SWOT Analysis of Clearabee is as follows:
Conclusion
From the case study and discussion carried upon it the conclusion drawn is that cause and motive of the business is good enough and unique in nature supporting both environment and the public. Alongside awareness gets created and options grow up. Initially the organisational structure is chosen so that smooth working takes place afterwards the best management approach is selected. The approach should be completely suitable in the context of Clearabee which could be applied perfectly in all sought of circumstances and situations. Thereby the strategic framework is analysed and most satisfactory strategies are selected i.e. Ansoff’s matrix and SWOT Analysis where Clearabee will be able to identify that in which market does it fall and what strategy need to be applied for converting opportunity into strength.
