Seller: Hello David! We corresponded earlier this week. It is wonderful to see you.

Buyer:  Hi Anna! It is lovely to see you as well. How are you doing today? Hope everything is going well with you?

Seller: I am doing great! How was your weekend?

Buyer: My weekend was great. I took my family to the fair. How was your weekend?

Seller: It was great! I just spent some time with my family at home.

Buyer: Okay then. So, what do you have for me today? Let’s get started.

Seller: So, as we discussed earlier, I am here to pitch an extremely lucrative idea that I don’t think you would want to miss. In fact, I think that this offer will be lucrative for both of us.

Buyer: Oh, you’ve got me curious now! How lucrative do you think? Please go on.

Seller: the brand that I want to pitch to you is SunRype. It is mainly a juice and snack company. We are committed to providing 100% nutritious products to our customers. We also believe firmly that health should be one of the most important things for an individual which is why the product that we make focuses a lot on the health aspects. Don’t you think in contemporary times, health and wellbeing is of the greatest essence? I think that now is the right time to venture into this (Situation).

According to your analysis, do you think that the trend and demand for healthy products are on the rise, not just because of the pandemic but due to a general health consciousness? I think people are becoming more aware of what they put in their bodies (Situation).

Buyer: That’s wonderful. In the current times, health has been a pivotal aspect of everyone’s life. It is extremely necessary for people to look after their health so having a brand that is committed to doing that is wonderful.  I mean, due to the onset of the coronavirus pandemic, the nature of people has changed in regards to a lot of things. This means that not only have people begun to prefer healthier options in what they eat but have also switched to living a healthier lifestyle. This drastic change in the preferred lifestyle is the perfect time in the industry for us to introduce a new product that supports this lifestyle.

Seller: Yes, I believe health is one of the most important factors. We at SunRype feel that the market for snacks and beverages has changed dramatically over the years, especially in the current times after a big pandemic. The consumption industry has completely evolved. This is why we at SunRype feel that it is imperative that we focus on health. We’ve seen that people have been driven to maintain their health and ensure that their living fit lives. SunRype agrees with the same notion and hence has decided to help people reach their health goals. SunRype is not only devoted to providing 100% nutritious products but is also gluten free with the less sugar content. Do you believe that providing products with less sugar content or no gluten makes the product less desirable to consume in terms of taste? We believe that we can still provide fresh and delicious products to our customers without adding any calories to the mix that are not required (Problem). This will help us take advantage of the current shift in the industry. In addition to this, it is also imperative to note that through this product we will also position ourselves in the market as a brand that chooses to care. How can we position ourselves in the market? It is important that we care about the health of our customers which is what SunRype aims to do (Problem).

Overcoming Objections from the Buyer

Buyer: I am intrigued. Please go on. But before that, how are you going to handle the prices? Things are hard to come by as it is and on top of that providing reasonable pricing can seem like a jump down the road (Objection).

Don’t you think that health-conscious people must have the option to choose healthy products without having to pay what seems to be a lot? I believe that it is a much-needed option for many (Situation).

Buyer: It is really hard to believe that people will buy your products as you are pitching about health, taste, and reasonable pricing all at once. It is not possible to include all three, I believe (Objection).

Seller: Yes, we believe that the next step in the juice industry is to turn healthy. This does not only cater to the needs of the customers right now but it also contributes to creating a healthier community and society. Why do we operate without artificial ingredients? We believe that by providing our customers with fresh juice varieties which have no preservatives or artificial ingredients we meet their demands and also enable them to feel supported in their health journey (Problem). I also feel Walmart should purchase us and give us a spot at your store so that we can not only cater to our customers in Canada but also cater to a worldwide range of customers. Do you believe that this expansion can be beneficial for both of us? We face an extremely lucrative opportunity through this market expansion and have decided to only do it with the best in the industry which is you (Implication). By doing business with Walmart, we will be in a position to expand our customer base (Feature). this will enable us to not only support the choices of our customer base but will also help us to influence more customers to choose a healthier life.

Do you think this can help you achieve your future business goals? I would like to point out that this has immense potential in regards to the future of the healthier line of products that we eventually want to get into (Implication).

Buyer: While I do agree with you, I would like to know how you plan on beating your competitors such as Minute Maid? They are an already established brand with loads of customers choosing them every day. Especially at an uncertain time like this, do you believe people will choose to go for something new? (Objection)

Stressing on the Importance of Sustainability and Locally Sourced Ingredients

Seller: Yes, that’s a great question. We have also thought about it and we feel that SunRype provides a unique blend of fruits and vegetables to its customer base. In addition to this, we also provide snacks with the best quality ingredients that have been sustainably and locally sourced. The rising environmental issues must be factored in, don’t you agree? This will not only help us beat Minute Maid in terms of sales because we sell both food and beverage but it will also enable us to be a better brand to work with since we are very concerned about the environment where we function (Implication).

I would also like to point out that by beating our competitors not only in terms of the content of our product but also on the basis of its packaging, we want to eventually create an all-around product. This mainly elaborates the fact that we are trying to be more intentional with what we release (Feature). This way we do not only contribute to our customer base but also contribute to the betterment of the environment (Benefits). It is also imperative to note that through this we aim to cut down our cost for production. Cutting costs can enable us to provide reasonable pricing to our customers (Benefits). This will further enhance the competitive advantage of both the firms (Feature). This is necessary to point out since we will position ourselves to earn lucrative profits since our cost will be less. This is beneficial since we spend less and earn more while also ensuring the complete satisfaction of our customer base (Benefits). Furthermore, this entire practice will not only help us enhance the reputation of our brand but will also allow us to have room for future products should we choose to release them. I think Walmart can trust us to do right by them and eventually earn lucratively on both ends.  I believe that we would earn profits while also earning a good brand reputation when the customers see our contribution towards maintaining the health of people as well as our contribution towards the complete betterment of the environment.
