The views and needs of the sponsors have a strong influence at this stage. The second step involves knowing the stakeholder’s requirements. This stage may involve holding a meeting with the business stakeholders to discuss the business requirements. After the requirements are found, they are classified into various categories in terms of how they identify with the functions and components of the end users expectations, the operational activities that should be done as well as the requirements which identity with the technical needs that are essential for smooth functionalities of a business (Alexandrova, 2018). The requirements are then analyzed and documented for the business operations.
For the conflicting business requirements to be properly resolved, the first thing to find out is the root cause of the problem. There are multiple causes and how they are dealt with. One of the numerous causes being a misunderstanding by one or more business stakeholders on the higher level divisional or company goals that drive their specific needs which may lead to a push of system requirements that is out of the scope of business requirements.
The next step after identifying the conflict is to find out the nature of the conflict (Ward, 2016). There are a few types of common conflicts that are closely related to their causes. When the conflict is resolved in a manner that satisfies all parties involved, it can lead to a positive effect on the business and its stakeholders’ relationship. A real estate organization needs to upgrade their IT infrastructure. The organization currently has 6 computers and uses a medium speed internet which affects their performance. On the other hand, the product suitable for increasing the internet speed recommended for the organization, along with scanning viruses is NETGEAR Nighthawk X 10 router (Chapman, & Kihn, 2009). This router has high internet speed (7.2 Gbps) that would be suitable for the organization, it is selected because the organization needs to increase the number of computers which will require a higher internet speed to operate effectively.
The current information system is wanting. Six computers with a medium speed internet cannot manage the increased business requirements of the agency. Therefore, the idea of installing more computers and increasing internet speed as well as an automatic update system is a very good idea. It will help the organization improve its operations.
Australian standards are the standards followed by business organizations operating within a given industry. Different standards apply to different product and industries. I would ensure that the selected products meet the client’s business operation by applying Australian mandatory standards which are compulsory standards that must be followed by all business.
To ensure that the products are valid, reliable and meet the needs of the client, I would use a quality test method QTM. QTM is used in verifying the comprehensive quality of a product. The testing method helps in determining if the product has met the quality standards (Wang, Chen & Chen, 2012). Before a product is chosen, a random selection of the product is sent to the lab for a test after which the product with the best quality is selected for purchase.
The evaluation report is very important in analyzing organizations since it gives an overview of the general evaluation. For the evaluation report to convey information effectively it must be prepared properly. I would prepare an evaluation report to present solution details in the following manner.
I would do a research about the organization and find out what outcomes it has achieved with the information system as well as the circumstances under which the outcome was achieved (Husereau et al., 2013). I would moreover report on the intended outcomes that were not achieved.
