The risk management plan for organizing trekking trip around Annapurna Massif in the Himalayas is presented.
Risk identification: the risk identification includes the determination of the risks that might affect the project. It is important to identify the risks that highly affect the project in the initial stage so that those risks can be analysed. In this project, the risks that are identified can threat the project and are mentioned below:
Identified risks
Risk |
Score |
Poor weather |
Medium |
Falling tree limbs |
Low |
Poor facilitation |
Low |
Unsafe act of the travellers |
Low |
Risk analysis and evaluation: After the identification of the risks in the project, the analysis of the effect of the risk upon the success of the project is required to be determined. The identified risks can affect the project and can affect the cost of project, can result in delay of the project and extend the timeframes.
Poor weather and falling tree limbs can result in the delay in the completion of the trip on time and can also increase the cost. The poor facilitation can result in inability complete the trekking within the estimated time which can eventually result in the delay of the other activities of the project. The unsafe act of the travellers can result in some kind of incident which can also extend the timeframe of the trip. The improper training to the travellers can result in inability of the travellers to cover the trekking points on time which can delay ion the completion of the trip on time as well as increase the budget (Culp, 2002).
The evaluation of the risks is important in order to determine the impact, likelihood and the probability of the risk occurrence. Below the risk evaluation is performed for the project.

Risk mitigation: the mitigation of the risks includes the determination of the actions for reducing the likelihood of the risks and reduce the impact of the threat. The strategies for the mitigation of the risks are important in order to make sure that the identified risk will not affect the project severely. The mitigation response is created to eliminate and reduce the risk (The University of the Sunshine Coast , 2018).

The consultation with the travel agency is most important as the agency will be able to present the profitability through the plan as the success of the plan can be determined by that only.
