This assignment 1 report consists of a brief regarding the PMBoK 10 knowledge areas in order to do the ‘Managing Project’, which will contain an introduction regarding my background knowledge followed by all the knowledge areas containing the Integration, stakeholder management, management of the project scope, resource management, time management, managing the cost, risk management, and Quality Management. These management processes are carried out in a systematic manner so that all of the above-stated knowledge areas can be managed in a proper way.

I am doing the course the Managing projects so that I can get some idea for doing the management of the projects so that I can do the proper planning, executing, monitoring and closing of a project by attending classes to gather knowledge well. I am a Telugu speaker comfortable with English from India. I did Bachelors in computer science and technology. I have not worked after the course and joined the masters for doing engineering. Below is my attached photo for identifying me
In order to avoid the delay in the submission of the project and the overrun of the project scope, I feel that this course would be helpful for doing the same. I will also gain some knowledge regarding the proper management of a project so that better results can be obtained.
The project integration can be defined as a knowledge area that integrates the other knowledge areas from the starting to the closeout of the project, whose management is known as the project integration management (Tavan & Hosseini, 2016).
I will be developing a charter at the beginning and note down the main aim of continuing the course and then I will be developing a plan for doing the completion of the course containing the main requirements. Once the planning is done, I will be following it throughout my course and will be keeping a track on the results to know whether the objectives are fulfilled as per the planning made or not. The lessons learned will be helpful for my juniors.
The stakeholders can be defined as the persons who influences the outcome of a project or who get influenced by the same. The managing of the stakeholders in an appropriate manner is termed as stakeholder management.
The main stakeholders who will impact and who will get impacted by my results are my parents, other family members, colleagues, partner, professor, lecturers, friends, classmates, the bank for funding, and the warden of the hostel. These persons will get impacted due to my result and they will impact my result. It is due to this reason that I should keep them satisfied by fulfilling their expectations.
In order to achieve the main objective for the development of the project, it is required that the project scope is maintained properly (Javernick-Will, et al., 2017). The management of the project scope is known as the project scope management.
At the beginning, the proper identification of the requirements should be noted down in order to develop a project scope and once the scope is defined in a proper way then the proper method should be adopted which will allow me to fetch good marks, attend the classes, and at last, deliver all the deliverables to the professors. In this cycle, my job will be to control the scope so that desired outcomes can be obtained.
The process, by which the resources like the facilities given by the hostel, the other people, and the other materials are managed in a proper manner, is known as the project resource management (Javed, et al., 2017).
I will plan for the ways to gather all the required resources in a proper way so that I can use them whenever required and after the planning is done, my job will be to arrange all those resources in a systematic manner as per the planning is done. After purchasing all the required materials, I will need to check the performance and if any other modification is required then I need to ask the sponsors for providing money.
The project time management can be defined as the management of the time that is estimated for doing the development of the overall project that is to complete the overall task within the estimated time.
At the beginning, I will be planning a time by following which I will carry out all the activities so that the proper time management can be done by noting them down in my PC and by updating it on a monthly basis so that I can keep a track on the time consumed so that I can manage it properly (Patel & Deshpande, 2017).
The project cost management can be defined as the management of the project cost that has been estimated for doing the completion of the project by maintaining it properly (Anand, et al., 2005).
In the beginning, a proper estimation will be made regarding the overall budget of the project which will contain the budget of the resources that I need. Once the overall planning of the cost is done, it is required to be maintained and the sponsor is required to be kept satisfied so that my study does not get hampered due to the stoppage of funding by the sponsor.
The management of the risk in a project in order to avoid the threats from occurring in the project is known as the project risk management. It is required to do the proper risk management so that the cost and the time can be properly maintained along with some external factors that can affect my study (Jovanovi?, et al., 2016).
There are a large number of risks present like the risk of not getting the name registered, not getting proper hostel facility, cost estimation not done in a proper way, overrun of time and scope, getting failed, and the risk of getting a language problem. After identifying all these risks, I will have to find out some way so that I can mitigate them in order to avoid their occurrence in my project so that I can properly complete my course.
The approaches necessary to be adopted in order to do the confirmation of the quality of the project is known as the project quality management. Proper tracking of the quality of the project is required to be done so that the project gets developed in a proper manner.
I should get admission in the University so that I can get a proper sponsor and obtain good results by studying in the university that will help me to score over 70 per cent in all subjects and will also allow me to complete my course within the estimated time and cost. In case I feel that I will not be able to fetch the proper mark as per the expectations, I should increase my study hour and should try my best to acquire good marks.
The requirement to hire the goods and services which are not contained in the project is called the procurement management. The procurement management contains the ordering of the items, having all the required services, purchasing the goods and along with it maintaining the proper relationship with all the stakeholders.
After consulting with the sponsors, I will be ordering all the items that are necessary for completing my course and once the orders are made, I will track them and maintain a healthy relationship with the stakeholders and the other service providers to keep them satisfied.
Communication management can be termed as the channel through which the communication will be done by the other stakeholders so that proper communication management in the project can be done.
I will develop a communication plan at the beginning which will contain all the information regarding the channel that can be used to communicate with the stakeholders. I will communicate with my partner, family members, parents, and my friends by video conferencing and audio conferencing. For communicating with the professors and the lecturers, the mail and email can be used and other than that I can communicate directly with them face to face.
Conclusions
I would like to thank you for going through this paper. I have confidence that I will be able to secure good marks after going through the literature. I will be able to fulfil the expectations of the stakeholders and satisfy myself also by securing good marks. The use of the PMBoK knowledge areas can be very advantages as because the use of these knowledge areas allowed me to carry out my project work within the estimated time and cost which will satisfy the stakeholders, especially the sponsor. The present risks can also be identified by me and I will also be able to mitigate them out so that they do not hamper my performance.
