The lifecycle that is selected for this project is waterfall (traditional) methodology. It is identified that this methodology is mainly selected as it is one of the popular version for project development. It is identified that waterfall method is very much excellent for large projects as it is very much simple as well as easy to understand. It is very much easier to manage the rigidity related with the project. The most important advantage of this model is that all the phases as well as processes are generally completed at one time and none of the phases generally overlap (Nicholas & Steyn, 2017). This model generally helps in allowing departmentalization as well as controlling the managerial related functions. Proper schedule is set with appropriate deadlines for each stage of the project development. Waterfall lifecycle approach is very much structured and it is quite easier to measure the project progress by clearly defining the milestones of the projects (Turner, 2016). The entire cost that is associated with the project can be properly estimated due to the utilization of this approach.
