The purpose of this project is to develop a proposal plan for the construction of the office building which is located near Adams Street, Victoria. The dimension of the plot is 22.5 m in length and 6.5 m in breadth. The area of the plot is 146.25sq.m. The plot area gets the water from the Southern water supply.
The objective of this project is to design a proposal of constructing an office building and develop a budget which can be estimated on the basis of the project activities.
The scope of the project focuses on the activities which should be included for developing an office building.
In Scope activities:
The three overlays should be taken under consideration for the development of the project. The first overlay is around the river of Yarra locality (Panfilova, 2014). The second overlay is for the development of the main road. And the third overlay should ensure that the radius of the city should not be come under construction (Timber Developmemt association, 2011).
The height of the building should be less than 9 metre
There is a limited budget of $775,875
Total Land area of the plot = 146.25
Total floor area = 146.25 * 3
= 438.75
Total budget = $ 1700 * 438.75
= $ 745,875
Miscellaneous Expenditure = $ 30000
Total budget required = $ 775,875
The deployment of the project ensures that the project will be completed within the scheduled end date of the project. The management of supply and demand of resources helps in achieving smooth functioning of the construction activities (Westland Skye Development Ltd, 2011). The division of roles and responsibilities among the team members resolve the problem of conflict and chaos. The work of one labour will not be affected by the other due to the synchronization in the project activity schedule (Kaushal, Bhatnagar, Anand, and Ram, 2015). The allocation of the resources helps in completing the project within the time line chart.
The project manager should develop a construction plan by managing the integration and interrelationship between the processes undertaken for the completion of the project within the deadline. The legal and social issues should be resolved by arranging periodic meetings with the stakeholders. The moral and the legal issues of the workers should be resolved by the project manager. The communication balance should be maintained with the top executive and the labour. The skills, expertise, and experience through observation should be enhanced to give better result of settlements. The transparency should be maintained between the division of roles and required resources and authority for the completing the work on time. The team members should be provided with the guidelines for accomplishing their given task with perfection. The confidence of the team members helps in analysing the participation of the project manager in the communication process with them. The aesthetic feelings of the members should not be hurt.
All the requirements and services provided by the contractor about the project should be clearly defined in the tender or agreement provided by him to the top executives. Good and healthy relationship should be maintained between the contractor and the project high professionals. The supply of resources should be continuously maintained according to the demand raised by the site engineer. The safety measurement should be focused during the construction program. Healthy working environment should be provided to the labour for completing their jobs (Somers, 2013). The allocation of the resources helps in completing the project within the time line chart. The employees should not be criticizing without any unfair work done by them.
The correlation and coordination should be maintained between the labour working at the site location. The workmen should show dedication towards their work. The work of one labour should not affect the work of other. The labour should equip with the qualities of honesty and hard working at site location. The distraction and chaos should be resolved with proper communication between the two parties (Gilbert, 2014). The safety measurement should be focused during the construction program. Healthy working environment should be provided to the labour for completing their jobs. The aesthetic and the cultural feelings of the workmen should not be hurt. The privilege should be given to their feelings and emotions.
The worker should be provided with the safety measures working at work place. The responsibilities provided to the worker should be according to their skills and expertise.
