An entry-level manager is responsible for managing entry-level management job including customer service skills. The study emphasized the understanding of opportunities and personal development skills to observe all the responsibilities of an entry-level manager through personal reflection. The paper is going to reflect each and every experience of an individual who was gathered from the management course of business consultation.
This section helps in understanding the core facts which were actually happened in the weekly session of the business consulting course which helps me to gather lots of experiences. From week seven the class for business consulting was started were various significant factors related to the organization focused. This week, I experienced various ways of accessing an organization as an entry-level manager which helps to gather the knowledge related to easy access within an organization. Moreover, this class lecture also helps me to gather the knowledge related to the tolerance level of an employee in the context of facing cultural issues to the organization’s access. As per the view of Hartmann and Jahren, (2015) tolerance level of an individual helps to sharpen the way of complexity mitigation within an organization. At the time of iceberg theory determination related to organizational culture, I understand the importance of cultural diversity within an organization.
Apart from the week seven classes I also gathered lots of knowledge in weeks 8 to 11. At the time of learning about the organizational hierarchy, I understood the significance of organizational structure in the context of business consulting. When value enters in the class lesson, I found that competitive offerings can be able to extend the way of organizational value. Week nine helps me to identify the key capabilities or skills of an individual which must be followed at the time of entering an organization as a manager. At the time of explaining the role of emotional intelligence, then I analyzed that it is the most important skill which an individual must hold before making any critical decision related to business. Helfat and Peteraf (2015) opined that emotional intelligence is too significant to manipulate the business decision of external stakeholders with respect to gain an advantage. In this context week, ten helps to understand the approaching method or way of storytelling to the stakeholders for demonstrating the value of an individual’s consultancy to the business stakeholders. On the other hand, week eleven provide me the knowledge regarding persuasion including dos and don’ts along with proper principles. As per the view of Wheelahan et al. (2015), the persuasion principle of a manager helps to take proper decisions with respect to critical situations.
Based on the above-mentioned learning experience which was gathered within the class session of week seven to eleven I understood the significant factors which were essential to run an organizational business. Moreover, the learning experience also helps to gather knowledge regarding the significance of the key materials which helps an organization to keep the working environment comfortable and confliction free. However, the learning session of the business consulting course helps to understand about key skills of a manager which were required at the entry-level in an organization. The course lesson was very fruitful for me because it helps to gather knowledge regarding organizational culture. The knowledge was significant to conduct entire teamwork or organizational performance successfully. Pearlson et al. (2016) stated that the iceberg theory helps to evaluate organizational cultural influence by determining the core areas of collaboration for project development within an organization.
Besides, the course also keeps its eye over the emotional intelligence along with proper decision-making ability of an individual. Based on the decision making possibilities of an individual the development of analytical thinking is too significant which helps in improving complexity solving capability (Adnan et al. 2017). However, the most significant thing which I have learned from the course was the road mapping of organizational conversation. The road mapping helps me to gather significant knowledge to be a perfect entry-level manager for an organization that includes proper leadership, creativity, innovation, business policies, and communication and so on. Therefore, it can be understood that it helps to sharpen my skills for the future which assures the growth of organizational performance. As per the statement of Mahoney and Kor (2015), the development of interpersonal skills to lead entire teamwork or organizational operational process helps in developing the future performance of the particular enterprise.
This section helps in evaluating the success and challenges of an organizational manager at his or her entry-level within an organization. I am going to share what I have learned from the start to end of my class weeks regarding access within an organization to controlling the entire activity. Every week learned me a lesion regarding the possible successes or challenges for an entry-level manager which impacts directly on their career building. Week seven helps to understand that proper knowledge related to organizational culture can ensure the success of an individual for accessing the information related to organizational business aspects. On the contrary, improper understanding ability along with poor tolerance ability of an entry-level manager can destroy the bonding between internal and external stakeholders. The strong bonding of stakeholders helps to promote the business of an organization towards the gaining of competitive advantage (Moncrief et al. 2015).
Week eight, nine and ten helps me to understand the importance of organizational structure along with sensing or intuitive characterizing of an individual and project lifecycle maintenance. Therefore, I can understand proper understanding and ability building for maintaining the job roles of hierarchies by applying sensing aspects helps in meeting the requirements of a project life cycle. It helps an individual to be a positive leader or manager of an organization. Maintenance of the project life cycle also helps an organizational manager to finish his or her working target which influences the growth of an organization (Finch et al. 2016). On the contrary, improper application of the project scheduling approaches along with misuse of the hierarchy power can call a bunch of challenges for a manager to perform his or her duties successfully.
According to the experience which I have gathered due to my learning course for business consulting, I understood that it helps in developing my interpersonal skills for managing the entire team of my organization. Moreover, it can also be understood that by applying the concept of iceberg theory regarding organizational culture I can manage all the cultural discrimination within an organization which helps me to improve collaboration among employees along with cultural diversity. As per the view of Rambe and Makhalemele (2015), cultural diversity within an organization influences the innovation and creativity related to project works. Therefore, I understood that by improving cultural transparency among employees can be able to influence innovative and creative ideas for making the organizational project successful. However, the most significant thing which I have discovered from my learning course was the proper way for managing the critical situation within the working environment of an organization. Therefore, I focused on the concept of proper leadership and perfect communication which helps to improve the ability for conveying proper guidance to my co-workers for performing any hassle-free work for the stakeholders. In addition to this, value related class pushes me up to increase the value of an organization by developing a strong relationship with internal and external stakeholders. Besides, the entire course helps me to relate my gathered experience to be a perfect leader or manager who can access all the business information of an organization for future development.
Conclusion
Based on discussion related to the roles and responsibilities of an entry-level manager, it can be concluded that an individual must priorities their interpersonal skills and knowledge first to handle an organizational process. Besides, managerial skills for business consulting must hold the knowledge related to core concepts of analytical thinking to make an analytical decision.
