I am so keen on knowing what other people know about me and less interested in what I know. In this context, I am aware that there is information that I know and there is that which I am not mindful of the fact that it exists thus they are those that know (Saxena, P., 2015). The verbal communication of the information that I have to the others is the standard method that I utilize in the communication of the information that I know (Watson, J., & Hill, A., 2015). Also, I am fond of researching the information that it not known to me and also to others.
Most of the time, I apply nonverbal communication to reduce the weaknesses in areas that I am not conversant with (Klöckner Cronauer, C., Hautz, S., Huwendiek, S., Schnabel, K., Feller, S., & Junod Perron, N., 2016). In areas that I have skills in I tend to be more verbal to share the information that I have with the others. In the case that I have the opportunity to diversify my skills then I am always self-assertive with positive perspectives based on the benefits that I will acquire from the opportunities that come by.
According to the personal construct, I identify that I am intimidated by challenges. When I am challenged in most of the occasions, I lose confidence, and I become more attentive to be able to grasp the information so that I can work on it (Strawser, M. G., & McCormick, J. K., 2016). I am aware of my environment and the others, and thus most of the time I will engage in verbal communication to be able to build relationships and gain more knowledge.

R., 2014).I always engage in arguments most of the times when I feel that the people are wrong without the fear of intimidation as per the assertiveness questionnaires.
It is imperative to identify that most of the time it is common for one to be inquisitive in a situation where one has limited information in regarding vital information. To add on, one will be more comfortable to share information that he or she poses yet the other people are not familiar with the information. In the case that everyone lacks the information, then the individuals will tend to research on the issue so as to gain the upper hand in the information.
Assertiveness is typical in situations where people can fully understand themselves and how they relate to their environment and how they react to situations. Confidence is mostly detected in the cases where the individuals are assertive (Hughes, K. M., Benenson, R. S., Krichten, A. E., Clancy, K. D., Ryan, J. P., & Hammond, C., 2014). Also, it is paramount to identify that everyone has his or her strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats.
The threats and the weaknesses are majorly taken as challenges that demand the individuals to act so that the threats or the weaknesses are reduced. When the two are removed, people tend to feel equally competitive as compared to others (Gao, S., & Low, S. P., 2014). The strengths and the opportunities give an individual an upper hand in most of the events and most of the time are based on the skills that people possess and the discretion for the diversification of the skills for the betterment.
The two major issues that arise are the inability to maintain honesty in conversations and the failure to control my emotions in the case of an argument. The areas need to be developed so as to enable good judgment and also acquiring of the information that one can base decisions on. Being dishonest in some of the situations reduces the effectiveness of the communication process where the respondents base their decisions on incorrect facts.
The involvement in two professional presentations regarding the presentation on the performance of a company that I had researched on gave me the clear indication of the communication issues that I faced. I was unable to give an honest view on the future of the company for I did not want to disappoint investors who had excellent prospects in the business. Also, in another instance, I was unable to control my emotions during a professional debate regarding a topic on sustainable development about CSR. I was unable to stand an individual who was the idea that the business of business was a business. I shouted at him as I expressed my views that later on I felt embraced and lost my confidence.
There is the need for me to develop these personal communication dysfunctions that inhibit proper communication of vital issues that demands my soberness. It is imperative for me to be able to appreciate the contributions of others and to be able to work on how I should react to tensed conversations so as to maintain my dignity. On the issue of honesty, I have to develop my communication in such a way that I can stick to the truth always no matter the situations for consistency.

It is imperative for one to give an equal chance for the other parties so as to be able to initiate effective communication.
When one gives a fair chance to the other individual’s one creates a perception that makes him or her be listened to by the other people. The benefits that will be accrued with the practicing of assertiveness are that one will be able to build relationships, to avoid disparities and the interest of all the parties (Beebe, S. A., & Masterson, J. T., 2014). The other behavior is aggressiveness in the making of decisions. Judgments in this context will not favor the decisions of the other people, but the attribute is crucial at a point that decisions are to be made within a limited time frame. Aggressiveness aids in the making of critical decisions. Passive communication behavior is also an active response that aids in the effective practice. Passive communication prompts the considering of what the other individuals have to say at the expense of one’s decisions. At this point, one has to ensure that the other parties are happy to their expense.
Moreover, it is imperative for one to be able to reduce the stress levels that an individual has. The reduction of the stress levels aids in the control of emotions that one exhibit that most of the time is associated with emotional attitudes during arguments (Sharma, D., & Bhatia, A., 2015). Stress impairs communication and can lead to the destruction of relationships and uneasiness between the parties. Stress management should be practiced so as to initiate communications that are progressive and forward looking.
If honesty is inculcated into the behavior of one amounts to the display of the best communication practices. If the information that is disseminated is the facts of an event, then possible decisions can base on them. Honesty breeds trust and confidence from the audience. The act of hiding the facts of the events is characterized by unethical practices that are aimed at creating, inconsistencies and integrity problems.
The theoretical view will base on models that promote excellent communication skills amongst individuals. The five Ws by Lass well is a perfect description on how one should conduct himself to ensure the objectives of communication are reached (Sapienza, Z. S., Iyer, N., & Veenstra, A. S., 2015). The theory on the first W states that one should be able to identify the primary audience. Transparency is essential at this point. The audience should be well informed so that they can fully participate in the decision process. The second W relates to the ensuring that time is considered in the dissemination of information (Jeffres, L. W., 2015).In the case, that information is to be conveyed to a broad audience, and then it should be done at the same time so as to avoid instances of confusion. In the case that there are insiders and the outsiders as the primary audience, then one should first communicate to the insiders for effectiveness.
The third W is in regards to the type or the nature of the information that should be conveyed. Information should be precise in every aspect that which can easily be comprehended by the audience so as to ensure that the feedback that will be got. A proper feedback will also be arrived at when one allows the attendees to ask questions and clarification on the nonverbal communication that was not comprehended (Berger, A. A., 2015). It is then imperative to select a medium that is effective it terms of how it is going to convey the information, its fastness and the ease of incorporating it into the communication process. Lastly, there should be a party to control the communication process that is to set the direction of the communication. Successful practices are reached when an individual realizes the essential elements of communication that must be communicated. If one of the elements is not present, then effective communication will be limited.
