The world is moving at a higher notch in order to save the environment. On the past three years, different measures on enhancing the energy sector had seen a lot of development, which are aimed at achieving renewable energy measures (Alcott and Greenstone, 2012). Different trends are being established each day in order to ensure that the aims and targets of renewable energy are achieved. Different countries have been trying to meet different aspects, which are related to the renewable energy demands. This has led to enhancement of different trends in order to meet the specific targets. The negative impacts of the present energy sources are key to enhance the sustainability. The trends on energy sector are aimed at eliminating the different flaws, which are at the energy sector. Some of the key cons include the global warming effect among other environmental issues. Increase of the targets to meet the different specific targets on the market. Energy sustainability is largely related to the renewable energy and this is the main focus on the sector (Banerjee et al. 2012). This has largely raised the trends over the past years in the renewable energy sector. In order to achieve this, the sector has implemented different aspects, which are related to the social and governance of the energy sector to achieve the set targets. This paper will analyze the different trends, which has been placed in place to meet the targets that different countries have set to meet the renewable energy targets. Moreover, this article will analyze the sustainability of the trends, which has been able to take place in the renewable energy sector.
This will be able to analyze the different aspects of the sector in terms of the sustainability factors, which the sector is up taking. Moreover, many companies and businesses are establishing different sustainable measures to achieve the renewable energy measures.
Objective
The major objective of this paper will be to analyze the sustainability measures in the renewable energy sector. Moreover, this paper will analyze the trends, which have been able to happen on the industry over the past two years to enhance the sustainability measures. Additionally, this paper will be able to look at the critical factors, which are able to enhance the sustainability. Some the key factors include the economic factors that are the cost of production, the environmental issues in the world, social, and political issues (Kaygusuz, 2012). These are key factors, which are able to affect the current energy production measures. Lastly, this paper will look at the current practices, which are in the industry to enhance sustainability measures. These are key strategies, which the different stakeholders are able to apply in order to achieve the sustainability using renewable energy sector. The application of these strategies is key to achieve the objective of the use of the renewable energy. These enhance its sustainability and therefore able to meet the increasing demand of energy in the world. It has to be noted that this increased demand is able to lead to the implementation of the different strategies in the energy sector (Cleff and Klaus, 2011). Through the analysis of these factors, the paper will be able to show the way the sustainability in the renewable sector is achieved.
Since 2014, the demand for the renewable energy among businesses and companies has been in increase. This has raised the sustainability level for the different trends, which are related with this sector (Eberhard, 2016). Sustainability factors have been key to enhance the adoption of the different level of factors, which ensure different disadvantages in the energy sector are resolved accordingly. Many strategies have been put in place to enhance the production of the renewable energy to meet the increasing demand level. With the world placing adoption target for the renewable energy measures adoption, companies have been in a higher notch to achieve the targets. This has raised the sustainability factors for the companies and industry to meet the demands. The energy sector required low cost methods to enhance the production of the energy sector.
The onshore production method is one of the strategy, which has gained a lot of aspects and sustainability of the energy sector (Heinimo, and Junginger, 2015). The onshore production has gained a lot of use and production in the mainland due to the low cost of production. To enhance the sustainability of any measure in the current economic status, cost is a key factor. The renewable energy such as the onshore production has to meet the cost implications to ensure that the demands are met. As noted earlier, the demand of energy in the world is at a high increase and this requires economical processes of production in the sector.
The onshore production has been able to enhance the production level of this renewable energy measure in the sector. The cost effectiveness of the different renewable energy measures has increased the adoption level and its use in the market. Many countries are changing their production measures to ensure that they meet the renewable energy measures demands. According to 2015 FactBook, the president of the Business Council for Sustainable Energy noted that the cost effectiveness of the different renewable energy measures such as the onshore production are increasing the change of production measures (Greben, Suzan and Oelofse, 2016). Even the world leading countries in terms of energy production from the oil fields are looking for measures to enhance the energy production sustainability. Iraq for instance, is looking to change the production measures to the renewable methods (Cheng and Yuanan 2014). The cost effectiveness is a key parameter, which these countries are considering in their change, and this enhances the sustainability measures. Since 2014, these countries have started the adoption of the different measures and renewable energy measures are gaining g their popularity. The future for these methods is a key element, which are enhancing their adoption (Eberhard, 2016). Southern Iraq has halted its exportation of the oil and gas from its environment due to several reasons. These entire factors are touching on the sustainability of the energy on these measures. The renewable energy sector is becoming a solution for the different challenges which industry is facing to solve them.
World Energy Council, (WEC), is able to play a critical role in measure of energy efficiency in the world. It has to be noted that the energy efficiency is a key promoter of the different trends which are present in the world and which enhance the adoption of the different trends in the energy sector. The renewable energy is a key area, which has promoted to the increased efficiency (Gillingham, Newell and Palmer, 2014). This has seen a lot of trends being promoted in this sector in order to achieve the efficiency and required sustainability of energy sector. The renewable energy measures are able to provide a long lasting solution to the energy crisis and therefore promoting its adoption on different countries. On the other hand, the energy consumption in the world keep on increasing and therefore leading to the increased requirement for the sustainable measures in the sector (Akanksha and Kandpal, 2015). This is the major area where the renewable energy measures come into through the industry. Key strategies in the market are able to enhance the efficiency and sustainability of energy in the industry.
One of the key strategy, which has gained a lot of effort in the last two years, is the bioenergy. This is the production of energy from the biomass resources. The biomass products have been used as wastes for a long time and it has come to an age where they are being utilized to enhance the energy sustainability in the world. Each country is able to produce some level if biomass wastes from its environment. Over the past few years, the production of electricity from the biomass wastes has been one of the major trends in the energy sector. According to Musango, Amigun and Brent, (2012), this renewable energy source is able to release the energy directly as produced or convert it to other forms such as liquid biofuel or combustible biofuel. Different industries are able to produce these wastes and since they have been considered as wastes, the technological advancement to convert them to energy has been able to enhance the energy sustainability. With these industries still operational, this energy source looks to have a great future. This is because the waste production will mean that energy can be produced from them. Since other needs still exist which lead to the continued running of the industries, the production will always be an easy task. Countries relying on the agricultural sector therefore have a greater future to enhance their sustainability in renewable energy suing this method.
Nevertheless, this method requires key investment to achieve the required benefits (Arnulf, 2012). Most of the countries, which rely on agricultural sector, are still under developing nations and therefore they have not made any much effort on utilizing this opportunity. This is a key challenge, which these countries are able to face in adoption of some of these key trends in the market. They have to invest on different technologies, which will enhance the countries to convert these wastes to the required form of energy in the sector (Bloomberg New Energy Finance, 2013). Wastes such as sugarcane wastes in these countries have gone to wastes due to lack of these key investments to enhance the energy production.
Solar Photovoltaic, (PV), is another key developing strategy in the energy sector. This sector is one of the fast growing sector in the renewable energy measures. The cost competitiveness with other measures is one of the aspect, which is enhancing its adoption in both developed and developing nations on the world. Additionally, the suitability of this measure on different platforms such as the economic uses, large-scale utility applications, commercial and industrial applications and small-scale application is enhancing the adoption rate of this method. An average growth of about 36% per year growth on this sector has seen in the industry from a long time (Frondel, Nolan and Christoph, 2016). Solar energy is readily available and this is able to decrease the cost of the energy production through this method.
The cost effectiveness is a key element, which has enhanced the sustainability of the measure and has become a key emerging trend in the energy sector for the last few years. The production rate of the PV has been a key element in the past two years with massive production being experienced. The sustainability of the measure is a key element, which is seen since the solar energy is readily available in many places. The reduction of the cost is a key factor, which has seen the adoption rate increasing at that high rate. Many middle countries are turning into this form of renewable energy measure to provide energy to its residents (Eriksson, et al. 2015). More importantly, the running cost is usually low, this makes the method more sustainability, and thus it has turned to be a key trend in renewable energy sector. Cost effectiveness of this measure has been able to play a key role in the sustainability measure during its adoption. It is easy to trap the solar energy and convert it to other forms. Different economical classes are able to afford the form of energy.
In conclusion, different trends in the renewable energy sector have been promoted over the past. The cons, which the relevant in the sector are able, promote the different trends, which aim at enhancing the energy sustainability in the world. Over the last two years, renewable energy has been able to be alit of recognition, which is aimed at attaining certain level of sustainability. Biomass wastes have grown to be a key development and trend in renewable energy sector. The wastes have been able to contribute to high level of energy contribution in the world. Sustainability of the energy from these wastes has been key in the energy sector. Solar PV is another key trend, which is available in the energy sector to achieve energy sustainability. The increasing demand of energy in the sector has been able to play a key role in the trends, which are available on the energy sector.
