Principle: According to International Accounting Standards 16, PP&E assets must be recorded at fair value until and unless the exchange transaction lacks any commercial substance or the fair value of the assets are non-measurable. The revaluation model suggests that the value of PP&E should be measured at fair value by deducting the accumulated depreciation and impairment losses from the fair value.
