Frishco is one of the well-established brands, which has been recognized throughout the world. The Knightsbridge store contains more than 1 million Sq. feet of the respective selling space having more than 330 various apartments. There are some of the crucial brand values of Frishco such as Luxury, British, innovation and the sensation. This research paper will help in reflecting the employee endangerment method of Frishco and the desired consequence of the issues which comes while maintaining the employees within the firm (Herschel, 2013). The use of the effectual and effective process of communication has been considered of large significance as it helps in assisting the respective customers with best quality of services as per their satisfaction. There are certain issues who come while managing the employees within the firm and this need to be evaluated with the help of effective strategies. The companies are executing their business process for more than 160 years and have over 4000 of the employees including 3500 employees from additional agencies and concessions (Kaye and Jordan-Evans, 2015). The Human Resource Department of the firm plays the most significant role in the management and recruiting of the new employees within the organization. There needs to be motivation and adequate facilities for the employees as this will enhance the overall performance of the organization.
The case study on Frishco critically evaluates the fact that an employee executes most crucial role in enhancing the brand values. The employee engagement can be defined as the relationship among the employees and the firm in which the employees is completely absorbed by the firm in order to provide its best effort to evaluate the growth of the firm. The engagement of the employees is considered to be imperative for the development of the concerned association. It is the primary responsibility of the Human Resource Department to recruit the best-skilled employees within the firm as this will increase the profitability and the productivity of the firm (Kreitz and DeVries, 2013). The company has adopted different methods for the engagement of the employees within the firm. The methods of Frishco for employee engagement are internal employee magazine, morning briefing, the Internet, quarterly employee forum and other different forms of employee’s voice. In order to retain the employees within the firm, it is considered to be of large importance to understand their actual needs. The magazine will contain lists for the new starters, interviews with the important people, charity features, personal snapshots, a column for agony aunt and various interesting competitions. This particular method of employee magazine will help in reflecting the desired working of the employees and the need to improve the workplace environment (McDonald, Mouncey, and Maklan, 2014). The morning briefing is another method for engaging the employees this reflects the latest information’s which needs to be conveyed to the customers for the current day. The shop floor teams need to be provided with the relevant information regarding the ongoing offers which is going to be provided to the firm. Use of the internet technology provides the wide range of information’s to share with the other employees working within the firm. By the use of the internet, the employees can collect more information and they can focus on the particular topic they require. There are different types of the motivational theories such as Maslow, Herzberg two factor theory, Goal setting and Vroom’s expectancy theory. The use of these theories significantly helps in employee development and finally it increases the overall profitability of the organization. The Maslow’s theory reflects the Self Actualization of needs, esteem needs, safety needs, social needs and the psychological needs. The Herzberg’s theory includes the work satisfaction, pay status, benefits and the organizational culture. The desired means of the work satisfaction increase the stability of the employees within the particular firm. As per Herzberg, different companies need to use two factors such as the hygiene and the motivational factors. Moreover, the equity theory is merely based on the performances of the employees associated with the firm. The goal setting theory evaluates the fact that the goals should contain challenge, clarity, feedback, complexity and commitment. The more important is to make the employees feel to be the part of the goal setting theory. The Vroom theory explains that the performances of the employees are merely based on their skills, experience, knowledge and abilities. Moreover, the employees will not stick to any particular information provided by the firm but they can search for the other topics as per their requirement for the execution of the business process. The next process is to arrange the quarterly employee forum which consists of the desired group of the volunteers or the employees of the concerned organization. Moreover, it enables the respective employees of the firm to contribute towards the formulation of effective strategies to increase the effectiveness of the organization. The decisions and the innovative ideas of the different employees are considered to be of large importance for the evaluation of the growth of the organization. There are many of the other organizations who use different methods to retain the employees within the firm. Motivating the employees and providing them the desired and attractive facilities generates immense impact on the employees which helps in retaining them within the concerned association (Truss, Mankin, and Kelliher, 2012). Frishco has adopted one of the other methods for the engagement of the employees which are the different other forms of the employee’s voice. The presentation of the bright ideas scheme primarily encourages the respective staff members for sharing the creative and innovative ideas in order to enhance the effectiveness of the firm. The employees need to take active participation in the execution of the different business methods of the organization as the ideas from the employees can prove to be helpful in increasing the overall profitability of the organization (Torrington, D., Hall, L. and Taylor, S.2008). There are certainly other methods for retaining the employees which need to be adopted by Frishco to expand the barriers of the association. The company aims to provide bet facilities and the flexibility in the working schedules as to retain the staff and the employees.
It has been seen that the employees working in an organization may or may not be satisfied with the work environment and this leads to leaving off the employees from the organization. Switching of the employees to different companies critically affects the business procedures and increases the employee’s turnover for the respective organization. This affects the execution of the business processes of the organization. Moreover, disengagement is another important aspect which affects the overall performance of the firm and significantly decreases the performance of the respective employees associated with the firm. The recruitment and the selection process needs to be enhanced as this process generates enormous impact on the entire organization (Truss, Mankin, and Kelliher, 2012). The employee turnover critically reflects the measurement of the desired rate at which the employees leave their particular organization. The higher quality of the employee turnover causes significant cost as well as implications of the performance within the concerned business processes. The different consequences can be listed as poor performances, lower rate of productivity, higher turnover rate for the employees, increases in the cost prices, stress, absence and not being loyal for the concerned organization. Furthermore, this results in decreasing the number of the employees within the organization and reduces the skilled expertise which finally increases the desired cost to the concerned firm. Looking forward, the cost of providing training to the new employees gets increased and affects the profitability of the organization within the concerned market segments. In order to understand the above crucial issues, a survey was conducted by Frishco which brought major vital results and points which need to be analyzed. There were four of the vital elements were found which needed to be considered for developing the strategic plans for improving the engagement of the employees within the firm. These are changed in the preferred structure of the concerned organization, changing the desired leadership, improvement in the communication system and living the preferred brand values (Varma and Budhwar, 2013). There are different types of the leadership styles such as Laissez-Faire, autocratic, democratic, transactional and transformational. Democratic leadership style is the desired approach followed by Frishco and many other companies in which the employees of the firm takes active participation throughout the decision-making process of the company. Frishco provides freedom to all its employees to exchange their views regarding the enhancement and the development of the business processes. The primary importance of this democratic leadership style is that is makes feel the employees that their values and opinions matters for the company. Moreover, the transactional leadership style reflects the awards and the performance incentives from the mangers to improve the overall performance of the employees and the transformational style reflects that the employees should use3 high level of communication. Communication process needed to be evaluated on a large-scale as this affects the entire working environment. The desired change within the concerned structure of the organization helps in bringing out the positive outcomes for the firm. The development of the new organizational structure increases the growth rate of the firm and offers job enrichment providing increased opportunities for the association. If there is not perfect leadership within the organization then it may affect the entire business process of the organization which is one of the major demerits for the organization. The irregular use of the communication process helps in affecting the reliability and satisfaction of the customers which also affects the firm (Zheng and Xue, 2009). Therefore, these are consequences which create negative impact on the complete business procedure of the organization. The autocratic style of leadership reflects that the manager’s posses complete authority to impose their choices and will power to the employees. It has been seen that there are some of the issues related to satisfaction from the job, working schedules, and the appraisal programs which provides some sort of motivation to the employees. It is crucial to solve the issues of the employees as this enhances their will power and increases the effectiveness of the work. The appraisal programs of the companies help to increase the willpower of the employees and this also motivates the employees to provide their best efforts in evaluating the growth of the apprehensive organization.
There are several methods for achieving the highest level of engagement of the employees within the firm. Employee’s motivation is the preferred way which helps in determining the effort level and the persistence level of the concerned person within the firm. It can be defined as the different types of process to motivate and encourage the employees to provide their best efforts in evaluating the growth and expansion of the firm. There are several methods for retaining the employees within the firm and to attract the new employees towards the organization (Armstrong, M.2010). There are several other firms which offer wide ranges of facilities to their respective employees regarding the evaluation of the business methods. These programs contain the offerings of the incentive schemes, appraisal programs to the employees and the maintaining the work-life balance as this reduces the work stress for them. Frishco is currently following three of the most crucial elements for motivating the employees (Beardwell, J., Claydon T. 2010). These are spotting of the talent of the employees, mentoring as well as coaching the employees and supporting the networks. These three processes provide desired sense of motivation to the employee who helps in bringing out the best positive outcomes for the organization and most crucially this enhances the overall performance of the firm and lowers down the employee’s turnover rate. The methods discussed such as the internal use of the employee magazine, morning briefing, the internet, quarterly employee forum and the other different employee voice helps in reaching the highest or to most level for engaging the employees within the organization. Some of the strategies from the Human resource department are to do promotions for the deserving candidates or the employees, to hike the salaries of the employees, to allow for leave in order to spend time with their family members and their friends. It has been seen that offering of the lucrative packages and the compensation along with best salaries attracts the attention of the new employees within their organization (Mondy, R., and Mondy, j. 2011). The effective decisions related to the employee engagement and retaining of the old employees relies on the hands of the Human Resource departments. Frishco significantly recognizes the importance of retaining the staff members within the firm and provides various career opportunities to the employees as to lower don the rate of employee turnover (Price, A. 2011). There needs to be formulation of the effective and skilled workforces to increase the overall profitability and the productivity of the firm. It is crucial to understand the desired requirements of the firm as well as the employees as alignment between these two will facilitate the efficient growth of the complete firm.
